It happens depending on where you are I think.. (people have told us in a previous video lol) but I agree, ao nang has been amazing to us and so cheap. As far as we know, no one here has tried to charge more. ☺️
1. เฉาก๊วยนมสด/เฉาก๊วยกาแฟ (Grass Jelly in Milk/Coffee) 2. ชาเย็น (Thai tea) 3. (Oyster omelette) - this always come with Sriracha chili sauce. 4. (Fried Sandwich) - I'm not sure about the filling but it's look like ไก่หยอง (Shreded Chicken) 5. (Spicy and sour green mango salad) - The orange one is carrot 6. ไก่ย่าง or ไก่ย่างแดง (Grilled Chicken in Red sauce) 7. (Colorful balls in coconut milk) - Sometimes the balls are made from different ingredients, but this one may only add some colors though. I recommend that ones made from the natural color ingredient like Pandanus, Pumpkin, Sweet Potato, Taro, Butterfly Pea and etc. That much more healthier and more delicious. 8. (Donut with filing : red is jam, yellow is vanilla cream) 9. โรตีแกงไก่ (Roti with chicken curry) 10. (Fried puff with mung bean filling) : Some Thai may translate all kind of bean (ถั่ว) into peanut. But it's not peanut.
5:19; pan-fried mussels, most sell with Pad Thai 7:01; deep-fried sandwich stuff with dried shredded pork and roasted red pork (I guess), 8:20; mango salad, 9:19; Golek Chicken or Malay chicken-style in Thai taste. One trick that Thai people used when eating food from a plastic bag is to fold out the top of a plastic bag. Local price is always good.
That explains why there was a little pad Thai beside the mussel pancake! I was actually tempted to get it. The sandwhich was one of my favourites from our haul, I have to get it again some day! Thanks for all of the insight ☺️ We will totally try that trick next time with the bags. Thailand has the best food and best prices. We love the local markets so much! ♥️
1:35 Mango salad(Yum Mango, Yum Ma-muang) is different from Papaya Salad(Somtum) in the way it is cooked. Papaya salad has a mortar and pestle to pound for mix together. The mango salad will bring the ingredients to mix together(It's called "Yum" such as yum noodles , yum seafood, etc.)
This is so helpful! I repeated after her when she said it was “yum ma-muang” but didn’t know if I actually said it correctly so thanks for confirming. It was super delicious! It sounds like it’s a bit easier to make too! Maybe I can try making it hehe 🤤
You guys are so nice and open-minded, you picked stuff that some of the foreign never dare to try. By the way the thing that stuffed in the fried sandwich wasn’t cotton candy, but dried shredded pork (moo yhong). I want to try those chicken that you bought, it’s called Kai Golek, it’s a southern style chicken (but it actually come from Malaysia). Thanks for amazing video, I enjoyed it so much and miss my hometown a lot. Hope you have a great time in Thailand 🥰🥰
We really try to make it a point to try things that we never have! I think that’s the fun of it! Often we find things that we fall in love with (like the pork sandwhich) 😍 I’m so glad we finally know what the cotton candy looking substance is lol!! The chicken is also a new fave! (Moo kra ta), it is a perfect Thai barbecue grill combined with hotpot around the side, it uses charcoal to give the meats and vegetables a typical smoky flavour. Also ซอสหมูกระทะ (Moo Kra Ta Sauce) is one thing you should really try!!!
@@ChaseandShelbs There is a lot of place you can call for Moo Kra Ta. Usually 300 baht in Bangkok which includes 200 baht for the ingredients and 100 baht for a pot deposit. After you finish eating they will come get all the equipments back and you can get the deposit back. I think the price in Phuket might be more expensive around 300-500 baht. However, if you dont want to eat at home you can always visit a place like Chalong Buffet, or Khon Kaen Buffet & BBQ. I hope you guys will enjoy it!!
Oh wow you so much!! That sounds absolutely amazing!! We love the smoky flavour on any foods and will be looking around for this dish. ☺️🙏🏼 I’m sure when we find it, it will be absolutely I’m incredible!
Hi Chase and Shelb big fan here ...love your vlog 😃 but just a quick tip when ordering anything in TH ( they will understand either way ) but usually us Thai don't put the amount before item like western do instead we said item we want before the amount like when u order 1 somtum they will understand more if u said somtum 1 and that go with just about anything when it comes to ordering thing ...anyway keep up the good work ✌✌
Ahhh thank you so much!! No one has told us that. We are practising very hard to work on our Thai and have been having so much fun. One step closer to being more “correct” with the Thai language 😂🙏🏼 thanks again for the love and support. It means so much to us! 🥰
Omg thank you so much! It’s hard to learn the proper way to speak Thai but we are trying our best lol! So happy you enjoy watching 🥰 and one question what exactly is a unit?
00:47 That’s not omelette, It’s a fried oyster or mussels. 01:23 That’s not Som-Tum (Somtum used papaya slices and usually cooked in mortar), it’s a Yum-Mamaung (raw mango spicy salad). 03:13 It’s a grass jelly in evaporated milk.
It isn't an omelet. It's call "หอยทอด, Hoi-Tod " - crispy fire mussel pancake. And the thing that inside fired sandwich is "Pork Floss - หมูหยอง". And the sauce is Thai chili paste. You can fine all of ingredient in every market of Thailand. Enjoy eating and have a nice trip.
Ohhh! Okay I was wondering because it didn’t seem to taste like egg.. I was so confused! 😂Thank you for letting us know what those items were. We love to know what it is we are eating so that’s very helpful. 🙌🏼 I think the pork floss sandwich is my new favourite. We appreciate it! 😍
The dish that you think it's "SOM TUM"(Papaya salad), but actually it's "YUM MAMWNG"(Mango salad) they used different ingredients. I hope you like it anyway. Have fun!

Yummy Yummy
You said it! 😋
Thinking of heading down there in a month, can you tell me what part of Ao Nang this is located and the time it was open?
There’s a link in the description where this exact market is ❤️ it was open from 3-7ish
@@ChaseandShelbsThank you
Hi Chase and Shelb big fan here ...love your vlog 😃 but just a quick tip when ordering anything in TH ( they will understand either way ) but usually us Thai don't put the amount before item like western do instead we said item we want before the amount like when u order 1 somtum they will understand more if u said somtum 1 and that go with just about anything when it comes to ordering thing ...anyway keep up the good work ✌✌
Ahhh thank you so much!! No one has told us that. We are practising very hard to work on our Thai and have been having so much fun. One step closer to being more “correct” with the Thai language 😂🙏🏼 thanks again for the love and support. It means so much to us! 🥰
You're right my friend! 🤩 // 🤩
The red jam in the donut is strawberry jam and white one is custard.😄
Ohhh thanks! They are both so tasty but we think the custard is our favourite! 🤩
Thank you we will! ♥️
Pls name the place for me koz am going on my again trips to Thailand.. Wanna to try it
The location is in the description 💕
that "cotton candy" thing you ate in that sandwich thing is actually shredded sweetened pork.
Thank you! We discovered this later on! It’s actually so delicious!! 😍
You can say :
dishname + number+ unit
for example , Somtom nueng jaarn , Donut nueng chint , Thai tee 1 kaew ka
By the way, I enjoy watching.
Ohh thank you so much!! ☺️
Hello 👋🏼☺️
What name of this place?I know I’m from Thailand to but I wanna know the name of city. Thank you
It’s usually always listed in the description but it’s the Klong Haeng Saturday Market in ao nang :)

Come to BRAZIIIIIIILLLLLLL
Thai food is paradise for foodies.
All the delicious food! 🤩 Thailand has so much of it. We truly are in heaven 🙌🏼
Mango salad..
A corn pie?
Sure the pancake made from floor + egg + mussels
oyster omelette needs that sauce
The sweet chili sauce right? We will if we run into it again.. though I don’t think we will on purpose😜
You guys understand and speak Thai?
We don’t understand much but we are trying to speak and learn new words every day! ☺️
Yum(ยำ) = salad
Oh thank you! 😍
1.45 that is not somtum ^^ Spicy Mango Salad (Raw Mango) ^____^
It was so refreshing and tasty 😍
@@ChaseandShelbsMaybe next time i'm Show you some good Street food ^^
This is missing in translation. Sorry! //
The dish that you think it's "SOM TUM"(Papaya salad), but actually it's
"YUM MAMWNG"(Mango salad) they used different ingredients. I hope you like it anyway. Have fun!
It had a much sweeter flavour! I was really surprised but it was actually delicious!! Thank you for letting us know 🙏🏼💕
This comment does not translate well. But the mango tea sounds delicious!
2:08 it sounds you use the female prononuciation when saying thanks. I did the same 😅
We say cup and ka but sometimes it may come off a little strange sounding. 😂🙌🏼
Amazing! Thailand has delicious food, you're right! ☺️
