@@treytrev it would be received the same way it was back then. Everybody scratching their heads asking if Americans really are that dumb. Well everyone outside of the US that is.
I so wish I could jump into a DeLorean and be a live audience member for these classic comedy moments! Damon and David Alan are so outrageous in these Men On sketches, but also totally convincing as ultra camp gay men, you totally buy it! 😂 In Living Colour is comedy gold of the highest order, love it!
@@Only1Dizzle Never noticed that one! 🙃 It amazes me that they were able to stay in character most of the time. 😂 Seeing as this show was filmed in front of a live studio audience, I'd have to imagine that there's a lof of outtake footage from all their various sketches.
@@Sara_Kane The live Super Bowl Halftime "Men on Football" edition had David broken up several times, especially on Damon's Richard Gere line. So many viewers tuned away from the Super Bowl Halftime show to In Living Color that the next year the NFL brought in Michael Jackson
“Bench press is for to build up your upper body muscles making ‘em ripple with all your strumph…” 😂😂😂😂 I could hear DAG say “strength” or “strumph” 1000 times and it will always be funny.
Men on Football, Men on Cooking and Men on Art are good too, if you haven't done them. I know you've done 2, maybe 3 of these now. There's actually a version with Chris Farley that was done on Saturday Night Live. Chris sits in for David Allen Grier. Amazing stuff.
👋🤣👍boy can you imagine this show now a day’s! It wouldn’t last a week before getting canceled! God I miss those days! In living color, mad tv, married with children! They be canceled! There’s no sense of humor anymore!
God, I miss the good old days of the early '90's. You could watch "In Living Color", "Living Single", "The Simpson's", "Seinfeld", "The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air" and "South Park", "Friends" and "Family Guy"
Oh no, people did get offended. However, those of us with common sense simply ignored them and dismissed them as the basement dwelling losers that they were and honestly still are. Now that's what 'I' miss.
@@QoQabai658 No one has a sense of humor anymore and the world is not in a better place, it's worse. People take themselves way to serious today. Have listened to comedy since the 1960's and personally never heard anyone complain. This is the 1st I have heard between the late 60's thru the 2000's. Rodney Dangerfield, Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, were not considered basement dwellers nor those they made laugh. I am not saying "some were offended" but they were not the majority.

In Living Color and Mad Tv would have been taken off the air sooo fast today :D
For real! They were controversial back in the day so I can’t even imagine how they would be received nowadays.
Agree

Thanks for posting. In Living Color was the best.
I can’t believe this aired on tv. that whole era was great on fox. Mad TV, Married with Children- edgy and brilliant
"I love this I'm in control!" 🤣
David Alan Grier almost lost it and broke character at 1:56! 😂❤
He broke character @ 6:11 too. He couldn't even get the entire "two snaps" line out without laughing 😂

South Park didn't start until the late 90s and family gay came out in the 2000s.
David ran out of gay voice, lol

All of their shows were this crazy.
Ahh it’s been 30 years since I’ve seen that 😂😂 great video
This is the kinda sketch where your dad would walk in while it was on and you'd have to sputter and stammer to explain it was just a comedy bit.
Omg! I'm done 🤣🤣🤣
I miss the days when comedy was just that. Comedy. No one got offended and people laughed at themselves.
