I’m planning on making a forest themed zoo, for the entrance I’m going to make a large log cabin with food and seating with a window into a mixed Japanese Macaque and Crane exhibit since they have interspecies enrichment
I want to base my first zoo off of my local zoo, Zoo America, which takes you into a reptile house right away, I would love to make my first animal a tortoise
Red-crowned crane Platypus Aardvark (underground) Ostrich + Springbok Mandrill Which then leads into an African section, split into Sub Saharan Africa (Savanna) and Tropics.
Nice to see you creating content again, Plip! Our zoo in Memphis actually has big cats right near the entrance which is always fun to see. Lions are viewable on the main walking path and are viewable from the main cafe, and then guests have to go in further to get to the tigers. Great video! - Love, Jasmine (from M&J Games)
Another great entrance animal in Planet zoo would be the Indian peafowl. In zoos, they tend to roam around the area freely so if you're lucky, they could be the first animal that you would see in a zoo. In the game, the Indian peafowl is confident around visitors, it doesn't need too much space and it can be used as a walkthrough animal. Plus, the Indian peafowl is a very striking animal so it would attract plenty of visitors.
I’ve recently started mine and I’m using the Babirusa as a first animal. An endangered yet, bizarre, yet little known about animal that will get the visitors interested early on.
I usually play Sandbox. I made a zoo that has all the cats, and now is expanding with other exciting animals. My entrance is a walk through Mute Swan area. Swant tolerate guests well, don't need a lot, can be noisy and sure are a sights. Than the cats go down from smallest to biggest, so starting with Sand Cats, Caracals, Lynxes and going down through Clouded Leopards, Cheetahs, Snow Leopards, Cougars, Amur Leopards, Bengal Tigers, Jaguars, Lions and Siberian Tigers. So far my only other, non-feline I put down were Fossas and Wild Dogs and Platypy. In middle of bringing in river monitors, flamingoes, dromedaries, timber wolves, red pandas, wolverines and komodos. Plus lot of exhibits. Got all types of snake and spider, iguanas, axolotls and butterflies. Open for suggestion what else to put lol.
At the Milwaukee Zoo, the first exhibit across from the entrance is Penguins. I always thought that was a good choice. Popular, cute animal that everyone loves and will excite kids, but not the big ticket animal that will leave you awestruck at how majestic and impressive it is.
Great video clip! I second what Jasmine said about the Memphis Zoo. I always love visiting the Memphis zoo and seeing the big cats first but if you were to go straight to the cafe you would see a monkey exhibit like you mentioned. Hope your doing well
In Hamburg, Ger there was a Kodiak Bear Enclosure next to the Entrance Fore Plaza so people could see the Bears already before they entered the Park. Now the Entrance has been moved somewhere else but its a nice childhood memory.
Wolves, and similar Canines like African Wild Dogs or Dingoes, require a lot of space and companions, but these sizeable canine carnivores have low, yet respectable base appeal scores for such an early game animal and have a very easy time reproducing. Timber Wolves particularly live in a wide variety of biomes across multiple continents. Making decorating exhibits for them a bit more forgiving.
I was thinking of a Komodo Dragon! I have a question for you: What are your top 20 animals in planet zoo (best models)? *Please answer I wanna hear a TH-camr's Opinion!
Which species will welcome guests into your first zoo? I’d love to be inspired by your choices! 💬⬇️

Wonderful ideas! Japanese Macaques should be a great entrance animal and Cranes alongside them will be so pretty!

@@cgz2295 that sounds so great, an indoors entrance would be very interesting.

I live near the Milwaukee zoo :).
Nile monitors - they’re cheap, they don’t spook, and they can live in bigger groups than the other two monitors we have in game
Good suggestion thank you
Nicely done Plip! Can't wait to see what you can do once the game releases
Can't wait! Thanks for the kind words.

Love the inserts from Google Maps of related animal enclosures, lots of good inspiration there!
Glad you like them! Thank you very much Sparrow.
My first franchise zoo is gonna be a jungle zoo with the capybara as an entrance animal
Very exciting choice look forward to seeing it on the workshop hopefully.
@@PlanetPlipcam That is gonna take a while
@@Sebcentre haha i’ll wait :))))
I went with bintarong and asian short clawed otters, same as Longleat safari Park.
I love longleaf must visit again soon great choices!
Great vid Plip!
Glad you enjoyed it moo thank you
Yeah
Thanks!
You are so welcome! Thank you so very much I really appreciate your support. Enjoy playing!
Could hippos or crocs make good starter animals? I just saw a hippo enclosure in a different video and it looked so cool!
Hippos needs lots of water space. The space you use for them, you can use to have 2 species instead
I've used caiman as entry animals before and it worked well.

Komodo dragon sounds good… indoors or outdoors?
Both! Also please tell me your top 20 animals in planet zoo? (best models)@@PlanetPlipcam
Wonderful video plip as usual
Thank you! 🤗
Im devestated i cant play it on my xbox one so Im just watching these videos :)
I’m sorry for that! Thank you so much for watching
OFC A CAPYBARA. They just to chill and my pfp says it all XD
Great choice!
This is a great video to help orgainze thoughts & plot out a zoo habitat and/or zoo... well done on the video! ☮&♥~ Smiling 🙂
Thanks so much!
Surprisingly red deer were my second animal i ever adopted so they work pretty well too
Great video plip! Hope ur doing well! Wait u can google street view zoos and walk around them??
Yes you can! So many zoos have that capability in google earth! Thanks
I’m deciding between a caiman or Pygmy hippo or capybara anyone got any ideas on what to pick?
capybaras could work
Sometimes I'll start with koalas, capuchins, or some type of african herd animal. Different but not crazy compared to like the orangutans or hippos.
hey he’s cute:)
So I’m not the only one lol
What’s going on here 💀
@@AstroRL_54good question
@@AstroRL_54people are saying he’s cute which is a good thing
💀💀💀
I usually start with flamingos or African wild dogs.
Oooh Wild african dogs didn’t think about them good suggestion.
Woah he’s so cute
He is very cute
We can’t start with meerkats 😢
I knowwwww such a shame. One of the best DLCs to look forward to.
@@PlanetPlipcam I am excited for it but I was shocked when I discovered meerkats wasn’t base game
Thanks
You are very welcome:)
I usually start with flamingos!
Mymost successful entrance hab was tapirs and giant anteaters.
Awesome!
I think you should build something in this game
Oh i sure am! It’s just taking a long while 😂
