I also play a single copy of Shining Dragon because it actually opens a play for King Calamity thats really awesome. This in place of the Black Goat Laughs and the Centurion Synchro but our builds are SO so close but i expect nothing less of Black Atlas 😎
Just started play RDA in MD and building a deck IRL. I came back to Yugioh last year only to see stuff like this where my beloved 5D's era cards are really getting some love and doing fairly well for themselves. Jack Atlas would be proud!

Centurion RDA isn't just for bigger end boards. It enables ways to break boards and helps dealing with cards RDA struggles with like Nib and Droll a bit easier.
Cent also provides more extra deck utility as we can now synchro on the opponent's turn as well as cheat out other boss monsters.
It also allows for an even better grind game.
It also doesn't add that many bricks, the only real brick is Trudea. You can still pitch the others of cards like Bone Archfiend to make them useable.
Hey, I'm glad you like RDA Centurion some things to clear up from my side.
1. There is no such as a grind game in YGO right now. Games are over by turn 3-4. RDA cooly enough hase the ability to finish games just as fast.
2. I don't think RDA needs utility and abilities to cheat out boss monsters. You make your board and win on the next turn. 15 hand traps decreases the celling of the opps board and lets you break it.
3. Between Primera requiring your NS, Trudea being a brick, the quick play spell (If you play the dragon that is another brick) you add more unnecessary cards to a deck that already has enough bricks. You can pitch anything for Bone's effect, BUT that doesn't mean you SHOULD play it.

@thecalieffect I think there's a lot of wisdom to this. I was playing mannadium against a RDA player that went first. His board was was so interactive that I just scooped game two even though I opened pretty decently.
No grind game to be had there.
@@froakage7437 You'll probably be able to find quite a few, but you'll definitely want to experiment with ratios for the Cent variant as from what I see, different people have better results with different ratios.

Late to the party, Cali. I broke down and picked up Bystial Dis Pater for $20 on TCG. Grateful it dropped some more. Always enjoy the videos, and best of all, it was a great ending to a great work day!
Hey Cali, I wanted to say that I love your videos and your deck profiles are always extremely good ways for new players to learn how a deck functions. Even if some say that choices such as HERO may be copium, don't be disheartened by them- the work you put into these profiles is certainly not in vain.
Though one thing I want to touch on is Red Lotus King at 3, and why I personally believe it isn't as good of a choice as it seems. Red Lotus provides us with Red Reign and a strong endboard, but only so if we have Crimson Resonator and Soul Resonator in hand or a way to search them. Without those two, Red Lotus King won't end on a strong board if on any board at all. Red Lotus King, unlike the supay engine, can't be used as a back-up plan in case we get interrupted by Nibiru or other hand traps and is a dead card as an extender if we already used our normal summon.
Hence why personally, I'd rather have it as a 1-2 of incase we do open that hand for it. Otherwise, it'd be better to consider 1 more bone archfiend as it ends on Abyss and Dis Pater on it's own along with the Supay Engine.

Hey, I enjoyed the read. You seem very insightful on the deck as well. i respect your opinion and think it provide some good points! Allow me to give you a breakdown on why I think it's optimal in case it wasn't clear in the video.
1. There are 13 Ways into Soul giving you about an 80% chance to open it. Competitively speaking, it's on par with Snake opening SE Ash. Some games are unlucky, but when you have this type of consistency to open your best card you roll with it. Especially if you have other 2 card combos for the 20% of the time that can make up for it.
2. As far as needing Crimson & Soul that is incorrect. Crimson by itself is full combo into Hot Red + Red Reign. The goal was to beat snake eyes and with an 60% chance of also drawing at least 2 hand interrupts, it gives you more than enough to handle that matchup. Remember bigger board doesn't always mean a better one.
3. I absolutely LOVE the Supay Engine strictly because it does play past Nib, but when deck building you have to a make some concessions. In order for me to play enough interruption to counter top decks as well as extenders/protection I had to cut down on engine. It's a good thing that Nib is the 5th most used HT right now and we play Crossout + other extenders to help.
4. You're correct Lotus is NOT a great extension piece, but here it is the center piece of the deck imo. Red Reign does answer the Snek matchup better than Abyss/Dis Pater or even Red Super.

Oh yeah, of course dude! As enjoyers of arguably one of the coolest archetypes in the entire game, duelists should always work together instead of against eachother.
Now that I see your point with Abyss and Red Reign being powerful against snake-eyes, I do realize that if you brick that badly that you only open with one Soul Resonator, you likely have other handtraps that go along with it. Which you also said, if I remember the video correctly.
Nonetheless, great work as always. I don't know how people give you Master Duel replays to watch, but if you're interested in seeing a pure RDA build going second without any handtraps drawn on my side, let me know.

I don't know why people don't play this deck, like who doesn't like shouting "ABSOLUTE POWERFORCE" and looking down your opps mons getting slaughtered by the crimson king himself! And the traumatized look on yout opp is priceless!
It's so funny playing Absolute Powerforce and watching a tenpai player's face when they read "Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects" 😂

Didn't know Lotus King could send ANY normal trap. That makes me so much more hyped for when Master Duel finally gets it.
And for the second combo, if you have more than 1 lvl 1 tuner fiend and Lotus in hand, you can actually get that same board but with Crimson Gaia getting Red Zone instead. I actually saved that game in master duel with that turn one end board.
Where the combo is different is after Crimson Resonator, Soul resonator searches Synkron resonator, make Red Hot Abyss first then special summon Synkron from hand to make Dis Pater, return Vision to Hand. Bone Archfiend summons itself, lower Crimson Resonator to 1, special Vision from hand to make Res. Dragon, put Synkron back on field, Uvualoop banish Res and Red Hot Abyss in Grave, synchro Supernova. Dis Pater returns Red Hot Abyss and Crimson Gaia is free to search Red Zone.
(Note: this is on master duel and the monster I used in place of Lotus is Magical King Moon Star that also summons itself when a tuner is on field.)

As long as u at least get soul w/R.L.K. and get access to abyss plus R.R. in the back seat and at least 2 hand traps you should be able to break your opponent on their turn and follow up with an otk. I recommend playing 2 lotus. 1 isn't enough and 3 is a slight brick.

No void apocolapse which I feel is mandatory in pure if your not playing extenders such as supay, wildwind. Flame crime isn't "always" a great extender and ending on just abyss plus red reign is Cool but isn't always enough to win the game assuming it gets disrupted

If your interested i got vids up on a person's master duel channel. "Fafnir master duel" it's the best replays you've probably seen for pure Rda. Reach master rank last season. Good amount of going second duels. It'll show you how void Apocalypse can be used

I use mikankos in my RDA . With soul resonator I can sync the mikankos and I can use mikankos blue UR spell to bounce back my soul resonator and can use witch black forrest to get Ohime it's actually pretty good

So glad to see this profile video as a fellow Red Dragon Archfiend player too. Curious of your thought on slotting in the Quick Play Spell card "Blink Out" as a way to splash back or maybe even interrupt a line of play involving Link Monsters? Sends targeted Link monster back to extra deck and special summon from your graveyard one of the materials to your field; but if you could still interact with the opponents Link even if not getting one of the materials, I'd ration that could still be good to interfere decks with Link monsters as play extenders. Curious if others have glanced that card for similar plays?
You'd have to take out HTs for it, but a Board Breaker approach wouldn't be bad.

Great video, but a little caveat with the dis pater + abyss + red reign board at 17:24 is that abyss is actually a rank 9, not 10, so dis pater would be the only card to remain in that scenario.

What's your thoughts on using Shining Star Dragon. Targeting Red Rising in GY and a leftover Crimson Resonator to Calamity lock opponents?
It increases the ceiling, but doesn't make the deck better in terms of consistency/resiliency so it's not really that great rn. I like that it COULD make dis pater on the opposing turn, but that only works if you combo, which means you already are in a position to win.

How can you play through an imperm or veiler on red rising dragon? I am new to the deck, could not really find a solution for that
Cross out, Res Call, Earthbound, Vision, Crimson Gaia. If you follow up with any of these 12 cards (Around an 80% chance to have at least one) you can on Scarred + Red Zone + Red Reign which is just as good.

If you have skynron and soul in Hand u can play around veiler and imperm you normal summon soul search bone bone dumps vision you increase your level go to scared summon synkron an proceed with the combo as usual your opponent had to hold imperm for there turn or if they have veiler it’s useless

There's no point a lot of times. With Scared + Red + Reign + up too 3 Interrupts you should be winning by turn 3.

Im a new resonator player who came from the blue eyes brick fest ( still loved the deck tho), can I have tips on what to do incase my soul reso gets ashed? When that happens I just stare at my cards.
Try to bait the Ash beforehand. YGO is as much a mind game as it is a memory game. Using cards like Foolish Burial, Crimson Gaia, Resonator Call or Stonesweeper can bait an Ash out.

Question. Which is better, Belle or D.D crow? Reason I’m not using bystials they conflict with my deck. So now I’m conflicted between d.d crow and belle. I know belle can stop a good amount of the meta but is useless if a branded player goes for the puppet lock and they have Branded lost. Meanwhile d.d crow can get rid of it on your opponents turn so they can’t. Only problem with d.d crow is that it may not be the most effective and isn’t that good against Labrynth.
me personally i’d say belle, because it has more versatility in most matchups against decks that spec back a lot from grave, which is quite a few. D.D crow is a good option to side though

Yes, you can revive the Scarred with Shining and go into Crimson during your opponents turn, or you can go into Centur-ION auxilia and since she's a dark dragon, Scarred will Lightning Vortex the opponent
Idk if this was pointed out yet, but RDA Abyss is lvl 9, not lvl 10. In the last combo Red Reign will get rid of Abyss unfortunately.

My deck definitely beating Tenpai dragon because I have a special little card known as firewall dragon darkfluid: Neo Tempest Terahertz, your opponent cannot activate monster effects during the battle phase and what are Tenpai known for their battle effects

It is a good card and can be a hand trap Negate plus an OTK enabler since it gives a Synchro you control 2k attack, but it takes the right moment to pull it off.
I'm very surprised you aren't using shining star dragon as it's quick effect can have you go into crimson dragon and bring another body like king calamity or other 12 synchro monsters
Because increasing the ceiling doesn't make it a better deck.
King calamity turbo is not great at all and not what the deck is about

Shining Star Dragon synergies very well the RDA because most of them are level 8’s so the fact that you can get another level 10 or 12 with a free summon on your opponent’s turn can help you depending on what the situation you’re in.

Without the new fiend this already destroyed my best friends pet decks Generaider-Runick and Blue Eyes now it will be way worst (for him) with this one monster able to get a full field bannishing.
Btw, I love play 1 "Scarlet Sécurity" with Crimson Gaia and Vision Resonator it's too easy to have acces or recover from grave an Harpy Feather Duster not ones per turn,
Except hardcore Red dragon and 5DS fans no one know this card but it's so useful in a lot of matchups
For the most budget players, you can have this really strong deck without the big Centur Ion synchro, without Dis Pater and Crossout with ease, the red dragon that destroy special summon monsters + burn is a nice budget alternative.
