Hi Morgan, I've been on the QB website trying to find training for learning the software, but I havent had much luck. Where exactly do I find the training. Thanks
Hi Paul! Check out this blog post from Morgan that explains how to find the QBO training. www.finepoints.biz/blog/how-to-access-the-quickbooks-free-proadvisor-certification-for-bookkeepers Krista (FinePoints Assistant)
The training has moved since Morgan's blog post linked above. You still go to ProAdvisor > Training, but now. you can either get a personalized path of modules based on what you want to learn, or access the training library for each of the products.
Through watching a lot of your videos I was convinced and am pursuing having a bookkeeping business! Started about a month ago with Bookkeeper Launch, thank you for all your videos and knowledge, Morgan : )
That's great! Morgan has several videos on finding clients. You can find a couple of them here: th-cam.com/video/9JckjHJREFA/w-d-xo.html, th-cam.com/video/v92DBK9dbLA/w-d-xo.html Good luck! Krista (FinePoints Assistant)
From your vast amount if knowledge, would you please share other certificates that can boost my chances of securing remote bookkeeping positions other then QBO advisor certification. Would be very grateful for your kind words. Thanks!
I'm in a class that is telling us to take this test at the end of the class -> Intuit has partnered with Certiport to create certifications - 3 certifications: Intuit QuickBooks Certified User - Intuit Certified Bookkeeping Professional -and Intuit Design for Delight. It's $150. I'd rather do the proadvisor route, but didn't know if this Certiport/Intuit certification would be worth it? It didn't look like it. Professor is only familiar with the Certiport/Intuit option. Do you know how these two are different?
Hi Heather. Morgan does not have info on the Certiport/Intuit option, but she does recommend the QBO ProAdvisor course (plus it's free!). Krista (FinePoints Admin)
Hi Morgan.. I did an online training through the local community college, took an exam through Certiport and got certified as Intuit QuickBooks Certified User Online. I am confused about the difference between this certification and the Pro advisor one. I am trying to get a job after 10 years career break and I dont have an accounting background. It would be really helpful if you could explain the difference. Thank you in advance!
I recently found your channel and you’ve inspired me to look into my own bookkeeping business! One question, however. Aside from the QB certification (since it’s free), your course or the other courses you’ve talked about in previous videos are those eligible for an education business deduction if I form my llc before signing up?
Hi Shane! I'm not sure how to answer your question, but please check out this video that Morgan created on how to get your questions answered! th-cam.com/video/On2KWzGX6zw/w-d-xo.html Krista (FinePoints Assistant)
@@FinePointsBookkeeping Thanks!! Would you please let me know about the difficulty level of the exam. I have went through the initial training videos on QuickBooks. Are the questions answerable enough to score above 80%.?
Hi Sarah! You can certainly be a virtual assistant that offers bookkeeping services. That's the nice things about having your own business, you have the freedom to offer whatever services you are skilled in! Krista (FinePoints Admin)
HI Morgan, thank you for the video. I have a question. I just graduated with an accounting degree. Do you think I would need to take all the training courses to pass the exam or should I skip some of them to save some time?
Hi Mohamed. It's really up to you and how comfortable you are with QBO. You could certainly go quickly through the portions that you know and spend more time on the areas that you feel you want more training/practice in. Krista (FinePoints Admin)
Hello Morgan. Do you think I should do the Quick books Proadvisor Certification first or the Intuit Bookkeeping Professional Certification first? Thanks 😊.
Hey! After completing the ProAdvisor exam QBO will provide you with a profile on their website that businesses can access when looking for a bookkeeper. Other options are networking in your community to find small businesses who might need a bookkeeper or looking on social media (facebook, indeed, linkedin) Krista (FinePoints Admin)
