Im really thrilled with Renee Rapp to come back! I truly think no one would play it better than her. Auli’i is a vocal beast and I have no doubt she’ll be fantastic! I don’t really know the rest of the people except for Jenna Fischer who I love! This is gonna be great!
I honestly think on Renee Rapp or Mariah Rose Faith would have done it justice, I’m glad they were able to get one of them
I prefer Taylor Louderman as Regina, but Renne is definitely my second best

Really? I admit I've never explored her work beyond Moana, so I find it hard to picture the Princess of Motunui as a hardened 2000's gay-coded goth. What roles of her were similar to Janis?

When I heard auli cravahlo was Cast I thought she would play Gretchen. That’s so cool that she is playing Janice! I’m so excited to see her take on the role ✨🙌

Renee Rapp, heck yes! 😁 I still go back and watch that World Burn music video with her in from 3 years ago from time to time (and some sneaky bootlegs). Looking forward to seeing the rest of the cast too, I'm not familiar with them. Thanks for the vid, you guys are a vibe.
Okay, but Gretchen has a pretty epic solo, "What's Wrong With Me" so I'm looking forward to seeing how the little girl from The New Normal does with that.
Also, Apex Predator is a gem from this musical. It's where Janis is warning Cady that Regina isnt just pretty, she's like a predator (this was how they referenced the mall wild animal scene from the movie). "Will she braid your hair? Will she eat your heart?"
Fun fact: Renee Rapp is my best friend's cousin. I've met her and she is a sweet heart. Saw her perform live at 54 Below. She's amazing live.
I love Angourie Rice, especially in Honor Society (If y'all haven't seen that, please check it out) so I'm so glad to see her get more leading roles

They wrote in the article that id didn't make a lot of sense to replace the teachers as "they never really age out, they work forever" - which I think is meta hilarious. But that explains why Tina Fey is coming back and Amy Pohler is not.

I’m so excited about Karen!! As an Indian musical theatre girl, seeing other strong Indian women in theater isn’t something you see everyday. I’m very excited for us Asians to be seen as a character outside of “the smart side character” as seen in other 2000’s teen classics

I’ve been following Angourie (pronounced “An-gow-ree”) for a while and she’s posted some singing clips before. I think her voice is lovely and she has great Cady energy so I’m excited to see how she does! I can totally see it! I’m super excited to see Renee too, of COURSE.

Now they should split it into two movies. If Wicked is getting a Two-Movie Adaptation then in the interest of full equality for all Musicals-to-Movies Adaptations going forward, they should all be two movies. If it's good for one, it's good for all.

I mean I'm optimistic about all the casting of this movie but I kinda wish they put Sabrina Carpenter in it - she was Cady on Broadway for a few days right before Covid hit and she would've absolutely killed the role in the movie. Oh well. I'm sure Angourie will do great too.

I think the cast is going to be amazing but I am worried because they said that the soundtrack will have a more "pop" sound and I really hate that. I feel like they are putting theatre kids who will be the ones to see the film second after non-theatre kids who will probably not go to the cinema and pay money to see the film. It just feels strange. :/
