That 56 Olds, is my almost favourite car. In 1959, I pulled the engine from one that had been rolled, for my first swap into a chopped and channeled 34 Ford pickup. I used the hydramatic, and it made a wicked street rod.
Excellent and relaxing video Tim. The white 1974 C20 is very similar to my 1973 C30. It is badged C30 but the VIN reads C2O. Same wheels but very heavy suspension with a Stahl work body, Sport Silver paint and Slate Blue interior. I’m retired and so is the truck but it remains handy for the gear head life. That 1974 needs a good home. Powers body, never seen one
I thought it sold under market for as straight and clean as it was. I show a neat single wheel C30 in the "Barn find big block" video. Silver over blue is one of the most attractive color configurations. You've taken care of that truck, and it has taken care of you.
Thanks you man for letting me see those car and truck with you I am looking for a frame for a 1946poniat and I need a lot of parts off that 190mec r a ate you have a safe trip back home
So many nice barn find cars & trucks in the video, your a lucky man to have so many estate auctions near you -- nothing like this out here in the Northwest.Your play by play great again, looking forward to part 2.
Being from Tennessee these auctions are amazing to me There ain’t nothing like this here in the last 40 years Wish shipping was cheaper and I would buy a lot of these!!
45:19...that black & white is actually a good color combination on that '55 4 door sedan...it kind of de-emphasizes the fact it is a 4 door...hopefully it will find a good home which appreciates it as a survivor, not wind up butchered in a "turn a 4 door into a 2 door" fanatic like that deedee speedshop outfit or something like that...
A good friend in HS got a 1940 Mercury Coupe and installed a 57 Pontiac tri power engine in it. It was fast for the time period. Surprisingly, his was one of two in our small town of 3,000 people, the other one was a parts car that probably rusted away.
28:46...that Ford 9N with the missing sheet metal..looks to be a 39/40 model..definitely an early one...32" wheels with smooth hubs, and, are those dog legs and hood on the ground in front of it aluminum?...if so, definitely more than "$1500 running"!..the early serial numbers with aluminum parts and early features are very collectible! ..BTW, thanks for showing the tractors...I wish someone did a video series like this focusing on old tractors....
A friend of mine fell out of one of those Studebakers when he was a kid. Grandma took a corner too fast, and the door popped open. Hit the curb hard. Explains his later behavior.
Amazing that the car that fascinated me most was the 1930 Chevy. It is normally not the aera of cars I love. I am a Fifties and Sixties car guy. But this one called: Save me please! I loved the red Diamond T truck as well. And of course watching on there was this gorgeous 46 Hudson Coupe. I would have probably saved tht one.
Mercedes Benz were Dualled with Rambler Dealers in the early 60's when they were developing thier Dealer nextwork. Buxton Motors in Portland Oregon was a dual Dealer in 1962. They also sold Berkley Bandits, the English Fiberglass Sportscar with an Excelsior Motorcycle engine.
Great video as always. Sad when you think about all the farm auctions happening. Once their gone their gone. Great job on the video. Your knowledge is amazing.
Around here (SC Nebraska) they were commonly called “Oneways” as you had to work a field in one direction like a plow vs a tandem disc. Disc plow is likely the correct nomenclature. Memories.
43:52..says:"1954 Chevy" on the windshield..clearly, as you have noticed, it's a '53..that "67" Ford F-100 was clearly a 68 or 69 as well...always amazing how little about identifying old cars correctly these auctions seem to know(or care)...you'd think they would get somebody knowledgeable to mark them before sale....
No matter where I have been, either by auto, train, plane, or even ship... I forgot one... motorcycles as in more than one of those gave me a nice ride...... they took me across america to places where a vehicle couldn't go. I mentioned other ways as I also drove a truck for a short while... about fifteen years of my life in some kind of big rig was unique to areas you never see from a car seat. What they all had in common was meeting people who lived there and it was the only place on earth that they wanted to live. I live in alaska now but remember using horses for packing supplies for the U.S. Government survey teams that were finding which was the best place to build a dam. I looked at the land to be flooded and nearly cried as it was so pretty. I am a mans man and so pretty doesn't come easy for me to say. I will call some women pretty or maybe a painting is pretty but otherwise, men called in nice or great as pretty sounded like alphabet folks who claim to be women or worse. I guess what you would call me is homophobic as I was raised by men who made it very clear to me what was what and sent fear down my spine. I am seventy five come tuesday and looking forwards to this birthday for some reason. Usually its just another day and like last year someone said to me as I was at a doctors meeting... hey happy birthday! I looked at them kind of surprised because I had forgotten my own birthday but remembered kids and grandkids, and my ex's birthdays. I hope she survived the N. Carolina floods as its tough not knowing how someone you loved deeply. The car that sticks out as one I would love to own was the 59 Edsel. As a kid tho, my first love was any ford of the start like the T's and all the way up to nineteen fifty nine with the "Jelly Bean" as mentioned as my early favorites. At that time I was in wish mode at around nine or ten. A ton of forty fords with flames and side pipes, open front tires with zoomies coming out and blowing flames. My first really decent rig was when I was fourteen I made the deal to get a 3/4 ton Chevy truck. I made a ton of money with that truck and put thousands of mile on it. I do believe if possible, I would of drove from my bed to the table in it when first driving my own rig. Okay, my comment is too long and I apologize for it
The disc you are looking at are not disc at all they are what we in the South East call turning plows, similar to breaking plows, basicly does the same job!!!!!
Super heavy duty weather beating diamond plate steel or aluminum triple bike trailer,if homemade a fabulous job & should have went into rat race trailer Industry manufacturing see little to no tie downs straps, just pushed on & one is side stand down with the other two being held up leaning on the one. But I think a precarious stack job once the poor side stand gives out all will flop over and damage each other.
HOW DO YOU FIND OUT ABOUT THESE AUCTIONS IN MY AREA ? I LIVE IN THE NORTHWEST AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW I CAN BE APART OF BIDING ON OLDER CARS AND TRUCKS.
You always post these auctions too late for anyone to go and buy from !!! That's a shame !!! If you would let some of us serious guys know before the auction , that would be great !!! I'm not a damn tired kicker , I'm very interested in auctions like this and parts !! So it would really be great if you can give a few of us serious guys advance notice of auctions like this !!! How do we communicate with each other ?? ZAK .
Super amateur pig socalled roofers dumping tar on the windshield and engine cowl vents and wipers. Amazing how stupid grunts can get & didn't even think of simply cleaning their pig mess.
hey dude where did you get ur car/ truck knowledge from? just curious/ as a muscle / antique car restorer fort 40 years im impressed with ur knowledge!

A Mr Goodpliers video, perfect for a Friday afternoon, lots of farm gear there, thumbs up great video
That's cool they spent some time and money to get some of them running. That's a lot of vehicles!
That 56 Olds, is my almost favourite car. In 1959, I pulled the engine from one that had been rolled, for my first swap into a chopped and channeled 34 Ford pickup. I used the hydramatic, and it made a wicked street rod.
As always, thanks for the tour and for you sharing your knowledge.

Another good one Tim, thanks for posting.

The 39 Mercury was last licensed in 1953 in California. Off the road in a field for over 70 years!
Thanks you man for letting me see those car and truck with you I am looking for a frame for a 1946poniat and I need a lot of parts off that 190mec r a ate you have a safe trip back home

Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific logo (CRIP) on that scale truck.
Vintage Vega should be put as is into a museum. huge rust holes in the front fenders is how I remember them.
Cool, running always means money.
Awesome. Thanks for the video.

Nice video- you are very knowledgeable about these ole cars and trucks
I appreciate the knowledge as you walk around
Thanks for sharing 😀
Can't wait till auction !!! Great video Mr. G !!!
The hot rod is too cool !
It’s the kind of thing I would build. Actually I do build stuff like that. Plus it’s a runner!
Amazing that the car that fascinated me most was the 1930 Chevy. It is normally not the aera of cars I love. I am a Fifties and Sixties car guy. But this one called: Save me please! Very interesting Mr G. You are a font on knowledge on automotive trivia. Thanks

That stud had the body shell needing only two door frames since the left front was same as right rear and visa versa. Only difference was vent glass.
Great video as always. Sad when you think about all the farm auctions happening. Once their gone their gone. Great job on the video. Your knowledge is amazing.
Your big heavy disc are actually plows. Disc plow as they are known as 😊
Around here (SC Nebraska) they were commonly called “Oneways” as you had to work a field in one direction like a plow vs a tandem disc. Disc plow is likely the correct nomenclature. Memories.
Vega was "fixed" when they dropped the AL engine for the Iron Duke, and dropped the name for all Monzas in 1978,
My brother had vagabond wagon it head and block warped he had jack keyboard fixed and told him to put electric fan no it keep vary cool 😊.

Thank you for the video
7:41 Someone save that Ford!🙏
Let’s Roll
👍💯😎👌
They are called one ways
Some old farmer paid a pretty penny for those tractors when new. They were rode hard and hung up wet.
That old gmc 3/4 ton would be a good buy.
Wished I was close to there
That was great just the right amount of flibidy ,flabidy
The 56 Thunderbird had both the 292 and 312 the vin tag may tell the story
The old blue Chevy next to the bonanza is nice
The red " 36 Ford " is actually a 35. Thinner radiator shell , different hood sides and beltline below the windshield.
Rock island is the railroad logo on the panel van
At 15:40 I believe the logo on the yellow truck is Rock Island Railroad
Those are disc plows a western plains thing.
Blue power unit is GM Detroit 2 or 3 banger 353.AL.

That was a plow, a disk plow.
FYI 261 have two hash marks behind the starter on the block

What Aution Site do you go on to find Lists of upcoming Auctions in different States. What’s the best site ?
Internet searches and Facebook. Hibid, Proxibid, and Kansasauctions.net
Railroad is Rock Island
Do you still have that 1972 dodge polara? I’m looking for one.
I'd like to find it a good home. Email me mrgoodpliers1985@gmail.com
I sent you a message, did you see it yet?
HOW DO YOU FIND OUT ABOUT THESE AUCTIONS IN MY AREA ? I LIVE IN THE NORTHWEST AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW I CAN BE APART OF BIDING ON OLDER CARS AND TRUCKS.
Ten grand plus labour :)
Mr. Good Pliers, I believe the rail road logo is Rock Island. Neat find!
Idk man you don't like what I do. Guess we would be good together at the auctions lol.
Why did you go quiet at the end there?

I made a community post about it beforehand. Most auctions are scheduled about a month before they happen
Super amateur pig socalled roofers dumping tar on the windshield and engine cowl vents and wipers. Amazing how stupid grunts can get & didn't even think of simply cleaning their pig mess.
Again stupidly skipped over a early 1980's red/grey z28 at 45 minutes, show's your lake of normalcy. Period typical self loathing yt goons again.
hey dude where did you get ur car/ truck knowledge from? just curious/ as a muscle / antique car restorer fort 40 years im impressed with ur knowledge!
His father owned a scrap yard that he grew up helping on if im not mistaken.
