Hope you enjoyed this look around the lovely West Bromwich, in the West Midlands - and as long as I keep surviving these ghetto and rough area tours, I'll keep bringing them to you.
As always, all comments, questions, and feedback are welcome - Thanks for tuning in! 😀👍

I lived on two estates in the 1970’s one being the Charlemont Farm Estate in West Bromwich and the other the Friar Park Estate, that was classed as being in Wednesbury, but all very close to each other, Friar Park was notorious back then but the people were good people who in many case had been let down by the system, all the people I knew worked, yes they were rough and ready but they would do anything for you.
A great video by the way, I suppose I just can’t believe how bad that great town has sunk to the level it’s at. Many questions need to be asked and answered why was this allowed to happen on such a scale, is it lack of funding and investment? Or is it as some have said on here due to multiculturalism, I don’t know? The decline has been rapid since I left 46 years ago, there are many towns in Missouri in the US that look very similar if not worse.

The whole country is being dragged down the sewer. I live in a relatively affluent, "middle class" town in the South East of England called Watford...it's not at the level of West Bromwich yet, but all the signs are pointing towards ongoing decline: everywhere you look there's homelessness; open drug and alcohol abuse; rapid increase in immigration; heart ripped out of the community; cheap low quality tower blocks springing up everywhere; shoplifting, theft and violent crime rising rapidly; fly tipping; untreated mentally ill roaming the streets.
I'm sure what's happening here is quite typical of the country as a whole.

What a horror story it is to view this TH-cam, and come to the realisation that West Brom, as it is with so many other places across the UK - PARTICULARLY with England - has transcended into a sociological sewer. In the US, a guy named Nick Johnson, covers the same scenarios there as this guy does.
But whether it’s Britain, or the US - and, not forgetting a comparable case with France, also: if you’ve ever travelled on the train from Gare du Nord, to Charles de Gaul airport, you’ll know what I mean - it’s abundantly evident that, both of these societies, are way past their points of no return.
I live in Sydney, Australia, but have travelled extensively (between 1984-2013) in both jurisdictions, but more so the in the US. But it’s abundantly clear that, in the 11 years since I’ve been to England, it has sunk into a sociological garbage heap.
As for the price of a property in the socio-economic climes you focus being around 200,000 pounds, is about $370AUS. Well, outside of a fairly isolated location from any city or town in this country, you’d be lucky to buy a garage for that amount.
With regards to drug abuse, no matter where it might be, there is ONLY one method needed to implement to solve that issue, and that’s to find the former president of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte, and get him to round up his hit- squad, and they’ll soon solve the problem. How cutting down drug problems were solved, was achieved by his lads utilising the DAF factor.
A former member of this squad told me that:
“When you find someone peddling dangerous substances you employ the DAF factor. And that is; DRAW, AIM and Fire.”
      He also said, that:
“Within 5 months of us implementing summary justice measures on drug dealers, there wasn’t too many people brave enough to keep dealing.”
, white-British are now the minorities of London and, Birmingham. Moreover, and most worrisome, is that under the current rate of immigration into Britain (the net-intake is around 800,000), that by 2034, White-British within England will be reduced to being just 45 percent of the country’s inhabitants.
But at that same point in time, non-whites will balloon to become 60 percent of London’s population: most of that increase will be drawn from the Subcontinent.

I have traveled extensively all around the country over the last few years and can assure you that West Bromwich is no better or worse than a lot of deprived post industrial towns and cities across the country right now.
People have an assumption that all these declining areas problems are due to immigration that may be the case in certain towns but whose to say that parts of Grimsby , Blackpool or MIddlesbrough are equally as run down and depressing and they are primarily indigenous.
The real issue in my opinion is the chronic lack of investment in post industrial towns and cities across the nation by this government , there seems to be no political will or determination to address the huge social and economic inequalities that exist within this country , its just all hot air and promises and when you consider how much of these areas backed the Tories at the last election and their so called Brexit pledges its now being delivered to them on a daily basis whenever they walk around their towns and cities , full of deprivation , poverty , homelessness , increased immigration , no decent jobs , surging crime and anti social behaviour , working families at breaking point and i am NOT a fan of Labour they are equally as useless and corrupt and not a remainer before you think , in fact i remained neutral on the issue even though i dislike the EU.
What really frustrates me is the level of investment this government and many organisations channel into wealthier parts of the country in places like Oxford , Cambridge , Bath , London etc yet stick two fingers at the Midlands and the North in towns like this , they just let the rest of the country rot and decline while keeping the wealthy areas nice and safe , look at the police funding cuts for example , slashed in the West Midlands , one of the most crime ridden and deprived parts of the country yet increased in wealthier southern counties.
The UK is becoming a two tier nation with all the investment , jobs , public funding , money etc all concentrated into the nations capital and affluent cities and towns instead of being more fairly distributed.
West Bromwich might as well be in another country in comparison to say Guildford and Grimsby or Blackpool are also worlds away from Tunbridge Wells or Norwich its so depressing.
People need to open their eyes and stop buying the all the lies these politicians sell you to keep your attention focused away from their systematic social and economic destruction of this country.

Problem is we haven't got enough space anymore for everyone to have their own two up two down with a garden round it, unless people specifically want to live in a continuous urban sprawl.Building up instead of out gives more green space.Britain doesn't know how to build apartments that people aspire to live in with generous balcony's and subterainian parking so that areas where cars would normally be parked can be greened over.Singapore build great apartments, but we don't need to go that high to get a better return on the space we have.I reckon the Singapore Housing Board should give British architects some advice if they can't hack it,but developers here wouldn't have that because they make more profit building three or four bedroomed luxury houses on the edges of our towns and villages thereby spreading out even further.I guess the politians are in the developers pockets so we're stuffed.Young folks will become accustomed to a tarmac environment and will pay to visit national parks so they can queue to stand on top of yr Wyddfa in Wales. If we are allowed that is.tw.uk

Fewer people live in a flat or apartment in the UK and Ireland than anywhere else in Europe. Most people in Spain and Germany live in purpose built blocks of flats. You could still live a good life if you live in a flat. It depends on your location, how much living space you have and who you live with if anyone at all. I have been miserable living in a house with the wrong people who were resentful that I was doing things and going places they weren't. We aren't all in high rise tower blocks.

@5:15 those high-rise blocks are a bit of a local landmark, easily visible as you're approaching the M5 Junction 1 northbound (almost a bit of a "Warning: you're approaching West Bromwich!" sign as you drive towards there).
They would just fall within the area of Spon Lane Junction (so called as it's a junction of a few canals that converge nearby, although it's probably not referred to in that way very much).
Technically, that area is the most south-easterly part of West Bromwich proper (head further south and you're entering Smethwick, any further east and you're into the Handsworth part of Birmingham).
Another good video, thank you for sharing.
I grew up around there and although it's sad to see the decline in the area, it's been on a gradual slide for the past 35+ years.
West Bromwich used to be a great place to shop (an easier local alternative to go to instead of the slog into Birmingham city centre).
Not too difficult to figure out the cause for the decline. The native working-class population has changed and combine that with inbound visitors who have no history, connection or any real care about an area and it's obvious to see why it's allowed to decay the way it has.
Pretty representative of larges areas of the country as a whole, unfortunately 😪
EDIT: I was in the area today and decided to park up and go for a quick walk around the old shopping area along the West Bromwich High Street (the first time I've been there in around 25 years).
It's truly shocking. The heaving shopping area I remember from my youth has turned into row after row of empty commercial units, with the occasional Asian grocers/pawnbrokers/charity shops/vape sellers. The place really felt like a ghost town with very few people just ambling around. Even the old market place was dead (probably 3/4 units empty or closed).
So sad to see the old place like this. You've got nobody that wants to buy anything from around there and with so few people visiting, businesses won't bother to set up there.
Doesn't exactly help that the old free car parks are now charging to park there, so that's not exactly encouraging people to visit the area.

@@VR_248 No. A lot of the UK has always been poor. There was so much homelessness during the Victorian Era (pretty much the peak of the British Empire) that they had what was called a 'two penny hangover', where homeless people could pay 2 pennies to sleep with their bodies slumped over a rope, allowing for more people to sleep in the small space. I had a great grandfather who was so poor that the family had to burn everything they had to stay warm during the winter, even their doors as ridiculous as that sounds; another was killed pushing another man out of the way of a boulder in the mines, with another dying during world war 1 leaving both my grandparents on my father's side as orphans. The one other on my mother's side was doing pretty well with his own dairy business until the government destroyed his business when rationing was implemented during WW2 (the government put a limit on how far he was allowed to sell and distribute his products, and the new limit made the business unsustainable and ultimately destroyed it, forcing him to have to move to one of the poorest areas of London, and then after that he got tuberculosis when his son returned from the war [my grandmother's brother] as the son caught it like many others while serving in the navy [no reparations or apologies by the way]).
Despite all of this poverty, all of this homelessness, all of the orphans; it was Britain. Sure there was crime, but it was nothing like today. There was still hope for the future. There was still a sense of pride, and a sense of duty, and everyone sought to make their homes and their local areas look nice. Working class areas were safe and prosperous, middle class areas were the ones that truly brought the idea of a well mannered, polite and civilised society to the world; the supposed 'plundered wealth' that belonged to a few dozen aristocrats had nothing to do with Britain being great, little if any of that wealth was ever given to uplift the nation, rather that was down to the culture and hard work of the working and middle class. The damage that multiculturalism has done is hard to fathom. It is not just the graffiti and the drugs and the petty crime; it is not just the abused little girls, and the young English boys who are forced to endure endless mental trauma, not just from listening to their 'teachers' and 'media' insult their ancestors, but also from the fact that where once they could have had relatively peaceful childhoods, now they have to be constantly on guard due to the threat of foreign gangs attacking them. We have been robbed of a home, of being able to call something 'ours', and without that we have lost any sense of purpose; if it is not ours, then it is not ours to protect, or to make look nice, or to have a sense of duty to. For those vulnerable enough to have been brainwashed by the 'authorities' here, they have been robbed of even having a sense of identity let alone a community. The whole thing is horrific.

What a horror story it is to view this TH-cam, and come to the realisation that West Brom, as it is with so many other places across the UK - PARTICULARLY with England - has transcended into a sociological sewer. In the US, a guy named Nick Johnson, covers the same scenarios there as this guy does.

This video saddens and sickens me….. there are lies being told……by all political parties….the country seems to have gone past the point of return…. It is stuck in a litter scattered , downbeat, never to recover mode. …. Even in the so called bad old , Black Country days, the poorest of housewives kept their front steps gleaming, streets were swept by men with brooms and a tittle cart…. Even during the war, local parks might be overgrown, but were totally safe for local children to play in…. It is worse now than before the slum clearances of the 1950s and 1960s….

It’s the same in most of the towns and cities in Britain, where every they go they turn into dumps. Knife crime, muggings, shop lifting increases, no one dare venture out after dark. No government have got the guts to say it’s mass immigration thats caused the increase in crime. A work colleague of mine (who is a black guy) once said if I dare pin a Union Jack on my back and walk along a particular street in Bradford if I got to the other side alive he would give me £10,000 thats how confident he was I wouldn’t make it

Most of my neighbours keep our houses nice and tidy, but the black community don't seem to care about where they live. There are a few near us and it stinks of weed when you get near their houses. Their gardens are full of junk, their kids hanging around on the street corner at night. The Sikhs are lovely people to live near to, very kind and friendly, their kids are taught good manners and are never seen hanging around unattended. The high street is actually not bad in the day, me and my wife shop there often and rarely see any trouble. There are just 2 demographics which ruin multiculturalism, the grooming variety and the weed-smoking variety.

They not only make money from cheap labour ,more people means more customers ,higher house prices ,higher rents ,, higher hotel prices , all giving the money people more profits ,
They have a better quality of life ,while our quality of life is becoming unbearable ,this mass importation does nothing for us only makes us depressed
While the rich get richer ,because of the consequences that come to the working class when this happens ,
Sit down and have a think of who benefits from this insane situation , it's not us unless you own alot of houses or hotels ,or you own a factory ,or a shop that carers for these people, or your a landlord
The powerful rich want more and more and more and their not bothered where they come from or what RELIGEON they are ,they want them here
THEY ARE NOT BOTHERED HOW IT AFFECTS OUR QUALITY OF LIFE OR SAFETY OR OUR CHILDREN'S EDUCATION OR HEALTHCARE ,
    ETC
THEY ARE ONLY INTERESTED WHAT'S IN IT FOR THEM ,YOU WONT SEE ANY DUMPED WHERE THEY LIVE

A lot of that is down to the people that live there for example if you come to northern Ireland! Say to the estates and areas around Belfast you will see that they are generally decent well kept areas. But that is because of the people that live in them. It has nothing to do with how much money they have because the unemployment rate is high in some of the areas but they are well kept people are clean and don't make not having money an excuse not to be.

@@ukexplored when I lived on the Charlemont Farm Estate in the 1970’s there were two of those blocks, they were known as the prison blocks, horrible places to live, I see there is only one block left, they were called Marshall & Kennedy House in those days, 14 floors of hell, they were maisonettes, if you lived on the 14h Floor your bedrooms were on the 13th floor and so on. I lived in the 20 storey block near the then riding school near Meadow Avenue, I see on Google Maps that has now been demolished. Those blocks were a planners dream but a living nightmare to live in. There was a comment about segregation in those days, I must admit when I lived there you did not see anyone on the estate of a different culture, I remember the caretakers daughter in the block near us started dating a West Indian boy, women at the bus stop turn their backs on her and I saw one spit on the ground near her, hopefully we have moved on from those days. A great video it’s just such a shame West Bromwich is just one of many towns up and down the country who’s decline is now accelerating beyond any chance of recovering, maybe as some have said on here this is how the UK in the future will look, sad so very sad.

Many on here say diversity and inclusion are possibly the main problem, I think it’s lack of a strong leadership and direction, I remember Handsworth in Birmingham looking like that in the 70’s, never thought West Bromwich would, I don’t think I will be returning for a visit anytime soon to see the destruction of what was once a thriving town. The Red Road flats in Glasgow were a typical example of planners living their dream of high rise living but in reality it was a living nightmare for the good people of Glasgow who had to live in them. I sometimes think we are guinea pigs for our elected elite, the human misery caused by their bad planning is not measurable other than the financial cost to local taxpayers.
We have made a good life away from the West Midlands and I think as time goes by more people who can leave will, to start again, this happened in the US after segregation ended in the early 70’s, many towns eventually ended up becoming derelict, Baltimore became a hell hole and still is, just like many inner city areas both sides of the Atlantic there are good and bad in all towns, let’s hope good will prevail and get these places cleaned up, I am not holding my breath though.

There seem to be a lot of people blaming the Tories for this, as if it would somehow have been better under Labour.
The truth is that it was Tony Blair and "New Labour" who started this.
Are the Tories to blame too?
Yes, of course they are. The problem in the UK now is that the two main parties are far-left (Labour) and Left (Conservative).
The problem is bad under the Tories, but it would have been exponentially worse under Labor.
Labor turned its back on the working class in favour of third-world immigrants.
There has not been a true right-wing (ie actually conservative) government for decades.
People voted for Brexit because they believed it would stop the insane amount of third-world immigration, but they were betrayed.
The only hope for Britain is a viable right-wing party to challenge this left-wing extremism.
