@huntercleveland7950 I disagree...revolver is the handgun whose cylinder revolves while fired or the hammer is cocked back again to bring a new chamber round...pistols have attached magazines which hold rounds which are chambered by the top slides...pistols and revolvers have very different built structures and mechanisms...hence revolvers and pistols are never same but very different...well you can say both are handguns or sidearms

Depending on who or what I'm hunting I'll use various setups, rolling block and varmint for trader roles, Evans and pump for wagon mission or bounty hunting, and the Lancaster with explo rounds and the pump for players
I prefer the ol' Model 1887 (repeating shotgun) over the pump action, especially when combined with the Lancaster repeater and dual Cattlemans or Double Actions. Gotta go full cowboy
Side note in real life the volcanic pistol shot a super weak round and never really caught on.. but actually paved the way for repeaters like the litchfield (Henry rifle) and then from that to Lancaster (Winchester 1866)

The schofield revolver is my favorite handgun. Quick reload and good damage makes up for 6 rounds (in the early game too without much progression if you get it from the valentine doctor)
Surprisingly the cattlemans revolver shot from the hip and NOT aiming is so bad ass. If u aim and then shoot its SOOO SLOW, but if u just aim from the hip (no left trigger / no L2) that shit shoots so fast with him bouncing the hammer so fast. It looks bad ass and just rains down bullets
