Also check out the "wsiu" performance. Look up "fanny wsiu", its a 30min show and theyre on fire. Bad recorded-audio, but the fire compensate enough for that.
Nah, they were just average, you obviously watched their bio which hyped them up. Truth is if it weren't for the attractive asian girls in the band nobody would have noticed or remembered them. It's very generic rock, nothing special.
It's a real privilege to see such a killer performance in such awesome quality, especially for a group as criminally underrated as Fanny. These uploads of y'all's are a gift to music history.
Nicky Barcley had such a powerful voice I love how tight the band was not even a single error in ther perfomance they played like a complete unity of pure rock of the best ❤
Alice de Buhr said that they always thought that everyone is a shitty singer in the band. Apparently they werent popular enough for someone to tell them to STFU and keep on singing. Fanny had a super discouraging story unfortunately. Like, noone had the common sense to put them on tour with Peter Greenes Fleetwood Mac? Why

They all could sing, every one of them had lead singing roles except for the drummer. This band is awsome but is little known. They REALLY rock as hell.

I am so happy to watch these wonderful musicians presently get their recognition in the present times. Always loved them and the music industry can go fuck itself for not headlighting these wonderful women.
It is just a crying shame that Fanny did not become huge in the 1970's. I am just thankful I have all their albums (well CD's actually) that I still listen to this day. Now if I could only find some concert bootlegs...
They're actually selling a concert CD now on the official Fanny band site. I can't link to it here in the comments, because TH-cam deletes comments with links now, but search for Fanny's site, and look for the live CD. They were great in the studio, but they always rocked much harder, and played together as a band better, in concert!
Plays well today, 50 years later! Another perfect example proving out that the music from our past is still relevant & needs to be cherished! Living my best La Vida Loca here in southeastern Arizona
I grew up in the 60's and 70's but somehow missed this band. Discovered Fanny in just the last few months. What a fantastic band they were. All great singers and players.
Growing up in the 70s, we used to follow an all girls band called "The Fairer Sex." They were relation to us on my dad's side of the family. At the time, they were one of the best girl bands in the area. I can really appreciate the musical talent these girl have. Happy Thursday... thank you for sharing! 💖
I'm a rocker from back in the 60s & 70s, and never heard about them until my YT feed started to explode with Fanny vids. They are fantastic! I read some articles and interviews to learn more about them, and was saddened to learn about the issues they had. They should have been HUGE! Too bad a major band couldn't have taken them under their wing and toured with them to get them more exposure and radio airplay. Maybe a case they were ahead if their time?
THE ORIGINALS......Everyone of them just Killing it! Now that's how you ROCK! BIG LOVE FOR FANNY, loved them back in the day.....Still Love them Today, Great Musicians. 🎸🎸🎸♥️
Really good! I just heard about Fanny through a Shirley Manson interview from 2018 where she was saying she had never heard about them. It's really weird, considering I know a lot of rock history,, but then again, they are women playing rock and that seamed a little outrageous, I think.
It's crazy how good they are. Pure, honest, powerful, musically accomplished. I bow in reverence and vow to build them an altar in the temple of humanity.
Growing up in the 70s my interest in music was later in the decade and somehow I completely missed Fanny until very recently. They rocked! Studio albums are good but they really shined as a live band.

Cannot understand how I have no memory of this band. This was telecast my senior year of high school. All we had was Top 40, no FM Rock then but only found out about them a few months ago.
Am I the only one that thinks that this kind of performance it's enough to win inductment to the RnR hall of Fame? I know it's a little late now, and no one can give them back the succes they should have had, but it would be very very beautiful
Fanny rocked! I've heard some of the material that June released as a solo artist in the late 70's and early 80's, but sadly she wasn't really rocking anymore.
These women never got the respect and recognition they deserved!!👏👏👏👏
I had never heard of Fanny until I recently read an article about them and I had never heard them until now. Holy smokes! They rock!

I’ve only discovered them recently and I’ve found their live stuff is outstanding, but recorded albums are not nearly as good, tame in comparison.
@@silentlou4375 Agree. Ironically, it's always the contrary, isn't it? Bands that sound amazing on albums, only to suck badly in reality.
If I could travel back in time to see just one band perform live at their peak, it’d be Fanny.
Well if we stayed a week we could probably catch Laura Nyro and The Doors too
Hear hear!

Joy of Cooking was another such band then. They have had a sort of reunion, but the piano player doesn't like what she played then.
