You explained everything so well! Thanks so much! Going to try this weekend!
I love your teaching style. Thanks for walking us through the process.
@@denisemerriell5388 thank you so much!
What a gorgeous dragon!!! This is super awesome. Thank you for the tutorial.

I would like to see more of this Looks relatively easy
Love the bright colorful dragon. Great shirt!
It would be awesome to do it at home instead of ordering
I agree but the equipment is spendy and all the reviews I’ve read (and I’ve read a bunch) tells me I’m better off ordering transfers. The DTF printers require a LOT of maintenance (mostly daily) and it’s just not practical for most crafters.
I'm new to using dtf THANK YOUUUU so much for this video!
Definitely going to try this! Thank you so much. I am new and love your tutorials!!
Waiting for my design to come from 143vinyl , just ordered my design can’t wait to share the results so far everything has been great ! Thank you !!
Thank you for making this video. Very helpful and exactly what I was looking for. ❤
OMG, this utube video is right to the point and very easy to understand the process. I LOVE IT. You did an awesome job Corrine on illustrating the steps! I have been researching sublimation and DTF printers and unless you use them frequently, you wasted a lot of hard earned money!!! I love using DTF prints. I read all the reviews to make sure I didn't miss this question I have. If you need the same DTF design in multiple t-shirt sizes, would you have to make the design again for each size or is there a way you can order the same design in different t-shirt size?
So there is a thing called a gang sheet on the website. I would use that and you would just duplicate your design and resize it for each shirt size. I then cheat a little and put a small letter of what size it’s for next to the design and just cut it off before I press
@@CorinneBlackstone Thank you Corrine for that information. I will definitely give that a try!!
Thank you so much.... your explanation made it so easy for me😊
Thank youuu for this! So helpful, and straight to the point!
This is awesome!!! Can’t wait to try this out!
Love, Love, Love this method. I would like to try this. You explain every step so well. Thank you very much.
Amazing, but did you pre treat the shirt with some spray and use dtf powder ?
No. You don’t do that with these. These prints come ready to press. No need for useless sprays that wash out or messy powders
@@CorinneBlackstone thank you so much. What kind of paper did you use, and did it automatically come out like that on the paper by just using that paper only ?
@@Marvatate201 I’m not sure you fully understood this process. Nothing is done at home. Everything is sent to someone else to print.
Thats awesome. I love it.
Love it I need to get some of those! I wonder how much the printer would be! Lol
They can be quite pricey and you need a powder to cure the ink
Hi Corinne! Thank you for this video. Would I be able to use my cricut easy press to press the dtf transfer?
Yes
Thank you, You were straight to it , And yes I want to get started at home , So I need a certain software to create my images? Or can I create them form DT website
It really depends on what you want to create. You can use places like canva. Illustrator, silhouette studio and more to create your own designs. You can add elements to the designs on the 143 website but you can’t really easily build a full design
I'm looking to create at home, how can I find some good images to use and edit add-ons
This is the website I recommend it’s on special for just $3.99 a month right now www.creativefabrica.com/ref/236877/
Hi I'm wanting to create my own dtf designs and tees what the best website to be able to create your own designs
great video, just not a fan of the hard lines of the white dots all around the dragon. Wonder if there was a way to make them look more natural looking around the print. Thanks for showing us how this is done.
Same. I think it's because she used the square shapes for the pattern and lined them all up.
Hi Corinne, fantastic step-by-step video for ppl like myself new to this. What other options are there to create designs in order to upload to 143 Vinyl in addition to Cricut? I don’t own a Cricut and have no plans of purchasing one. I only have a HTVRONT heat press. Please let me know. Thank you!
I would not recommend using cricut to ever design anything for outside use. However I use canva, inkscape or illistrator to design in
Love ❤️ the rapid response. Your the best. Thank you soooo much!
@@CorinneBlackstonewhy do you not use cricut design space to create in??
@@jeangrandy8672 For many reasons but number one being that you cannot get a good quality image out of design space and these images need to be high quality so they look their best. Design space is not a program I recommend designing in for anything really. If you want to design your own you’re better off with canvas, illustrator, photoshop, inkscape or other design programs
Hi Corinne, thank you for another easy-to-follow, friendly tutorial! I am definitely going to try it. I REALLY want to invest in a good-quality heat press but the Starcraft ones 143 Vinyl sells always. seem to be out of stock. Are you using the Starcraft 15x15 or do you have a different one?
I use the StarCraft mint daily. Sadly it has been on back order for awhile. I would highly recommend checkout out the ones they sell here as well. These are awesome too!! shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=1137072&u=1872806&m=77504&urllink=&afftrack=
@@CorinneBlackstone thank you SO much!!! 🎉🤩
Thanks Corinne! Can't wait to try these. I have made a couple of designs and saved them...How do I go back and find the ones I saved and edit them if I need to ?
That’s a dang good question! Let me ask cause I have only ever just made them and added to cart
Make sure you’re signed in then at the top of the screen is a my projects button. Your saved projects should be there! :)
@@CorinneBlackstone I thought that might be the case...thanks for checking into it for us!!!
I just love it! What printer do your need to get?! I do have a sublimation printer but I think I’m go for dtf printer more colorful
As noted in this video these were not printed by me but by a company. I don’t feel comfortable putting a dtf printer into my home due to the curing and powder needed and the chemicals involved
Great video!!! Can you print these at home or do you have to have some big expensive equipment?
You must have a dtf printer which you can purchase but they are pricey
@@CorinneBlackstonethank you!!!
@@CorinneBlackstonedo you know of an app that can be used to identify a font that was used on a shirt???

Corrine, thanks for showing how to design at 143 Vinyl. I really wanted to learn, but my concern is how do I upload or transfer my designs I've created in Design Space to DTF. I have a lot that I need to print and don't want to weed all these shirts. HELP
@@cherylmckeever6969 this is one of the major reasons I say not to design in cricut design space. The images are not easy to get out keep your eyes peeled for todays short where I give another way to get designs out of design space
Thank you for the video! Where do you buy your sweatshirts from?
Shirtspace mostly but jiffyshirts if shirtspace is out of stock
I'm trying to order dtf prints but they keep telling me I need to turn the white background to translucent. Does anyone know how the hell I go this? I'm an indie motorcycle shop trying to make my own shirts to save money
You need to have a transparent background on your image. You can use remove.bg or canva to remove the background
@@CorinneBlackstone thank you soooooo much
Corinne this is an awesome video! I have a question, can you only use the dtf transfer once? I didn't hear you speak on that so just a question because I'm wanting to get into my own shirt creations
Yes just once. DTF transfers are printed onto the film and then when you press them the entire image will remain on the fabric
@@CorinneBlackstone wow!! You got back to me so fast! Thank you so much! That's grade A service!
Could you apply this dtf image to a tie dye hoodie of any color ? Is the dragon image opaque enough to cover the tie dye - so you only see the tie dye in the empty areas ?
Yes. These can go on any color shirt and hold their color. They are backed with white ink to maintain color
@@CorinneBlackstone thank you so much !! Also, your video was super helpful and inspiring. I am brand new to this.
Where did you get the dragon or how to you get your items? Am I just going to type into What I want to Google and take that? Also, I wanted to print this onto the paper myself?
Everything including the design for the dragon is linked in the video description
I usually just order DTF’s from ninja transfers by sending my design but do you need a specific printer if I wanted to do them at home?
@@gina248 yes
Hi, Thank you for your video. Do you have a video of where and how you made the design??
As I believe is stated in the video I did not create the dragon design he can be found here www.creativefabrica.com/product/colorful-dragon-sublimation-clipart/ref/236877/
Everything else in the design I added using the 143vinyl website also linked in the video description
I have used DTF transfers that I have bought, so I have just pressed them on a shirt. But I am wanting to make my own for my own use. So I am trying to figure out if it is possible to print these at home for myself and I do not want to do sublimation.
You have to have a DTF printer and lots of other things like the powder. It also requires PPE. It’s honestly not something I would personally probably bring into my home
Is it smooth like sublimation?
It is smooth but as noted in the video it is still a product that sits on the shirt so it does have an edge to it but it’s not as thick as htv
What type of image are you using and where do you get them
It’s best to use png or SVG images. I have a whole list of great places to get these images here www.corinneblackstone.com/svgsites
Can you use this on sublimation tiles, coasters etc?
No this is for fabrics only you need uv dtf for hard surfaces
Thank you. Do you have a video using uv?

This is where I order from all pricing is on the site use code CORINNE to save 5% anytime you order www.143vinyl.com/custom-dtf-prints.html?partner=196113
Is it safe around children? Yes I mean obviously you want to watch them near the heat press cause that’s hot as heck but like to press with them in the room is fine
I'm looking to start a t-shirt business with dtf, my questions is where do you get your images from? To print on garment. Do you need to have a computer to create the images? Can you get images from using a tablet or what ever internet source you are using?
Most of my images come from here www.creativefabrica.com/ref/236877/
This site is amazing with millions of design options. It’s $3.99 a month right now and everything includes a commercial use license which means it will be legal to sell your designs. You can use a tablet or phone but a computer truly is best and easiest. The site I use is amazing with the best prices around and the best quality. They have an entire team who checks every single image before it is printed to make sure that it is high quality and will come out perfect.
Can you print it from website at home like a download yhen print? Or do you have to wait for shipping from 143vinyl? I would like to use dtf because I do all my stuff with vinyl and it's getting to be too time consuming and costly as well? Please help me lol
@@nicoleswan4797 you can purchase a DTF printer but they are large and expensive and very finicky. DTF is way less expensive than vinyl and way less time consuming you can see a comparison video here th-cam.com/video/TVVM-6hZNT0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aGwrlNqRYuW3m32N
What printer did you use
I don’t print these. As noted in the video all images are printed by 143vinyl
Where did you get the hoodie from? 3:34pm
Shirtspace! :) I order most of my blanks from there
Hi! Can these be done with a Cricut machine?
No
If I purchase an image from Etsy am I allowed to use it to make a DTF?
Yes!
I would like to print some t shirts for my grandparents memorial with their pictures on them how can I get that patterns
As I have explained this process is completely shown here. DTF printing is something I recommend being done by this company. If you want to print at home I recommend you check out www.143vinyl.com/inkjet-printable-htv-transfers/?partner=196113 or this video th-cam.com/video/WBBatYEu01w/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_kZOWHiCfg7wySqW
Is the pattern just a 1 time use? Thanks
The DTF print? Yes you can only press it one time
@@CorinneBlackstone Thanks
Brand new to DTF
If I want to make my own pattern do I need a computer to make the pattern so that the dtf machine can print it
As I do not have a DTF printer I can’t tell you how you would need to do them. I wouldn’t want one in my home due to the chemicals used not being safe around children and small pets. I would recommend ordering them from the company I highlight in this video
where do you get you designs?

I have a full video about starting a business with DTF th-cam.com/video/CsJWH4d9TfU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vbxLDlK5qM2R1Ynw
I would not recommend etsy but instead building your own brand and website. Shopify is great
what are the washing instructions and how many washes can you get and can u hand wash with dawn dish soap
: Wait 24 hours before first washing. Turn the garment inside out. Machine wash with mild detergent. NO bleach. Dry at a normal dryer setting on household machines. Do not dry clean. Do not use fabric softener.
Wouldn’t waste your time hand washing in Dawn it’s not needed

if you get a warning for size how do you fix that?
Typically it’s fine and that warning will resolve itself when they go to print but I would call 143 and discuss the issue with them
Is this the same as dev? I am somewhat confused with the two. I would like to learn more about it. Does this feel like vinyl or more like sublimation. I like sublimation because it feels like the shirt and not vinyl.
It’s not like dtv. As I talk about in the video at the beginning it is between htv and sublimation. It’s still sitting on the fabric but it’s thinner than htv but doesn’t dye the fabric like sublimation
But where did you get that image in your desktop ? I mean dragon

Can you arc the text? Can you use a Cricut hand press? Can you create designs in Cricut Design space before uploading to a DTF Site?
@@theheartieanalyzers9371 I don’t think curve text is an option. You can use a cricut easy press but you will need to use heavy pressure I wouldn’t personally design with cricut for these as taking the design out of design space will ruin the quality of the image

No this is absolutely not for you to sell the digital files. If you’re looking to create digital files for sale check out my canva and inkscape tutorials.
My 2760 Epson converted to sublimation does not want to print on DTF Transfer.
It may not. Not all printers do. I would recommend watching the video on the dtv hack for some tips to printing on it

I’m curious about it.
My dtf prints peel and have a cracked appearance, do you know what cause that? Any one?
You may be not pressing them correctly. Is this happening after you wash them? It so make sure you wash in cold water and line dry
