Hey Jperm, would you be interested in making a video showcasing the 14 PLLs you've changed and showing the finger tricks for them? and maybe a brief explanation as to why each algorithm is better for you? :)
@@JPerm Oh my bad! I thought you meant since you made the video showing all your PLLs you've changed 14 of those. I see what you're saying now ;) Thanks for the reply and all the awesome content
Wise words! I've been studying F2L for almost 3 years. My pb is 27secs and my average is still only around 40secs. I know intuetive f2l really well and should be way faster with the knowledge I have, but just cant seem to get it. I just have to remember that the journey is the actually THE BEST PART, because you're not only learning the skill, you're also learning to overcome (what at the time seems like) an impossible challenge. Once you've achieved your goal, THAT'S IT! You have to find the the next challenge. :0 Thanks, I've learned a lot from watching your videos. :)
Nah bruh averaging 40 secs after 3 years of cubing is too much of sucking, either change how you practice or give up all together. Ive been cubing for 3 months with non-optimal practice and I average 35secs and PB is 26secs, someone with optimal practice is capable of averaging around 25 in 3 months. You are taking waaaaaay too much of time, its just not for u
So I just finished learning all the PLL algs from J Perm's PLL vid pretty happy w/ myself, I can do PLL in (on average) less than 6 seconds then i come over here "okay"
I know this post is 2 years old, but I modded my wrm and it was better. I will say it is a risky operation that requires a magnet swap. If you’re able to live with either surgically removing some plastic that holds the magnets or remove the glue that houses the magnet. The process is simple just swap the corner magnets with stronger ones. Swapped it out with n45 2x4mm and it’s better then before.
Wooh PLL speed video! I really love seeing the old spreadsheet, I'm rather data focused in things so being able to see where you were at, at that 15 second average, with an idea of the relative speed between algs, is super awesome to me. (I'm the guy with dysgraphia from the Summer Open during the q&a btw, so this really interests me) The video, as well as having something nice to compare, inspired me to make a spreadsheet of my alg times today. There's a lot of interesting results about a bunch of things, and I'm happy to say that I have 8 algs that are sub 1 (with a hilariously close 1.002 z perm best), and with Nb being the only alg over 1.5 seconds. Anyway to cut it short, I'm quite satisfied with my results and looking at a lot of variables I think I'm doing well. A reassured confidence is a really great thing to have, and videos like these are greatly appreciated. ^w^ Ps- isn't Y supposed to be kinda good? xD The only algs slower than Y for me are n perms, and F basically tied but barely slower lol
That's awesome to hear! I remember you, and I'm glad you're more confident now. Those times are pretty solid, similar to mine from the spreadsheet. Y is great on big cubes because the finger tricks are simple, but on 3x3 I think anyone who says Y is very good is most likely either wrong, or needs to practice their other algs more. Move count and finger tricks wise, it's very similar to F perm.
I need to get back into this properly. I can't even remember all my PLLs and i haven't learnt G perms yet. I'm colour neutral, pb 47 seconds. Started this January.
