I loved the soft tabby in the denim - I had it and sold it. It is much more comfortable to wear than this one… This one is just a bit more girly and so I'm willing to sacrifice for it :-). I also absolutely love quilted bags if you couldn't tell ha ha :-). Ty so much for watching and commenting!

I just grabbed the denim quilted Tabby in the 20 size for travel. Wore it all day today and love it! I’m a denim girl and this is so easy to throw in my backpack for work trips. Glad the leather on my C looks really good. I looked over several in the store. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the informative deep dive! All I can think of is, Coach is going to get that return back, they'll likely not inspect it, will turn around and sell it online as a new bag, even though it has a defect, is now used, and no longer factory wrapped. It'll probably be shipped haphazardly and unprotected to the next consumer, and may suffer further damage in shipping as a result. Coach really needs to have different price breakouts for their bags based on whether they are brand new factory sealed, a return, slightly irregular, slightly used, etc. I don't think it's right for people to buy up multiples of the same bags in anticipation of this, but I also don't blame them because I think this is a problem Coach has created by not fully disclosing the condition of bags for purchase online. It is the exception to the rule if I get an actual new bag from them anymore and so many others experience the same. I am currently trying to get a new/undamaged Bandit and I'm on my 3rd try. Feel bad for the next customer who gets this bag, expecting that new pristine bag feel/experience.
It's my pleasure. Just to be clear, I didn't take this bag out of my closet, and only put my things in it and showed it like I did because it shouldn't be resold with the clasp looking like it does...I will put all the original packing back inside, tuck the chains in and of course the tags are still on the bag as well. The condition they receive it in will be as good as they sent it minus the wrapping on the chains and hang tag...as it was not fully factory wrapped upon receipt (in the plastic with padding all around - it was just in the dust bag put in the box with one circle of paper around it). I did indicate on the return form the "damage" to the clasp, so what they do with it upon receipt is out of my hands:(...it is extremely frustrating that no matter what brand we buy from these days there are defects - whether luxury or contemporary. This is why buying online sucks!). Good luck with your Bandit - I know how frustrating it can be from many experiences of my own😢...
@thehandbaghousewife I do the same when I get a defect - write a note with the return, pointing out the damage/defect in the hopes that Coach won't resell it as new. It's all we can do, really. 😊

Hello and thank you for the review. I got my denim tabby 26 today . It’s beautiful in perfect condition but I haven’t took off all the packaging yet because I’m worried about the closure. Do you think it will eventually just pop open on its own??? I’ve never had a bag with a closure like this 😊
I always prefer bags with some divisions and pockets so that things are not floating around within the bag. I love this new quilted tabby but not in the jean material. I still love the leather ones. I have the 26 in moss green.
Thanks for the heads up about the Collonil Carbon. I got (what the folks at the Coach store told me might be) the last denim Cassie 19 in the state last night, so I grabbed a can. Should I cover up the turn lock when I apply it?
I like the look of denim bags but won’t buy them because I wear a lot of denim and I think it can look overdone - plus there’s no way the denim Tabby should cost the same as the leather Tabby. Their leather is so much nicer.
I agree that the leather is nicer… But a $50 price difference would probably cover the difference in price of materials… With all that said, Louis Vuitton is charging actually more for their denim pieces than a lot of their leather! There seems to be no rhyme or reason besides supply & demand😩♥️🥰.
I agree with you about not paying this exorbitant price for a denim bag no matter how beautiful the design may be. Now this may not be very popular, however found a beautiful dupe for a LV denim bag that was recently released. I popped in a insert and switched out the strap for a chain strap and Presto it’s gorgeous. I may eventually buy.Angulas paint and do something nice on it since I am an artist. Why not, right? I was at the Coach store today here in Montreal Quebec. Canada. I was lucky enough that they actually had one of the few tabby 26 quilted denim bags here in Canada in their store. So I got to try it on and check it out. I also checked out their leather 26 quilted tabby bag, and compared them. I must say I personally prefer the leather bag. Now I’m not sure they’re going to market an exclusivity on this bag yet? Although the sales girl tells me that they will. At least here in Montreal Canada. I decided I am still waiting for a sale on them no matter how small so if I’m thinking that there must be other people thinking that? Anyways, thank you for your blog. It was very interesting. Thanks for always giving your honest review! Not only do we get an update to the denim quitted tabby, but you also get a comparison to the Gucci bag. Of course, the advantage of the Gucci bag is that it’s one open hole. An excellent point you brought out about the cost of leather versus denim. My only issue with denim is if I accidentally spill something on the denim, it is going to soak through. If I spill something on the leather, I can wipe it up from the surface. But I love what you said about the leather versus denim cost. We often think leather is much expensive than denim. 😊

If I get a scuff on the denim, it looks like distressing, which people actually pay more for in terms of jeans anyway, ha ha. If I scuff the corner of a leather bag, I am extremely unhappy… That's something to consider, at least for me :-).
Enjoyed the video a lot , i also love to see all the pros and cons before keeping a bag 😊 , in fact i do think that handling a denim would be difficult than a leather one , i cant imagine myself at mcdonalds for example drinking or eating something and found that this 595 bag has a nasty spot , ketchup or coca cola spot 😂😂😂 omg the horror , i mean anything can happen , leather cant get that much dirty than a textile bag i believe.

It's a matter of whether I sell something I'm not going to miss 😁.
I've heard the black is softer than the other colors and may be less likely to peel if that helps at all:). I think it might be worth a try and ordering a couple to be able to pick the perfect one💙
See, I own 3 variations of the now discontinued coach Madison, in both sizes. I'm tired of coach putting such a buttery leather on the clasp/C hardware. As the clasps can be tight at times, I've found the friction from opening and closing said clasp puts a lotttt of wear and tear! They used to only be metal and I miss this factor. An enamel would be nicer!

I think it will prob be fine for a long time. I think the mechanism is basically an enlarged snap...just my opinion though!

I am the opposite. I rarely wear denim. So I have nothing to wear it with. Not even a denim jacket.😪

That was my thoughts as well of why I wouldn’t pay the same premium. Denim wears differently altogether and is less “all weather”

I have an old Michael Kors denim bag. I don’t think I could ever get another one. I don’t wear a lot of denim and for me a denim bag isn’t my style.
