- Hey guy's, its me again, and if you don't know who I am, or you're new to my channel my name is Troy, I'm bald and I collect watches.
I was very fortunate to get hands on and give my opinions on a brand new and exciting UK based watch brand.
The Commander from Sherwood, is a stylish desk diver that also has some cool design quirks and what is even better is that you can get in early and get yourself a discount if you back it on Kickstarter.

Thank you to Glynn for loaning the watch into the channel (paid promotion tab), a few amendments to my review, the second hand tip and automatic text is more of a dark orange not red. Also the lug width is 20mm and not the measurement in the video. Nice review buddy. I like what Glen did with the bezel and the color schemes. Plus integrating the arrow and shield looks great. I agree a dive watch seems a little off with the name Sherwood, but I’m fine with it. As I don’t think a brand needs to limit themselves to one style. The crown looks large to me and the overall thickness as well, but it is a diver so I can let it slide. Keep up the good work. 👍

This is a very good first offering definitely lots to like, great choice of movement, that seconds hand is really cool, the overall aesthetic is great, the small touches of detail that you've mentioned all add up to make this a winner.
The only negative for me & I'm going to sound like a broken record & I'm sure Glynn is sick of hearing it but that branding is just too big, I do love the shield logo at 12 though looks very neat.

Thank you mate, it does seem the logo is the Achilles heel for this watch, the size has grown on me, but left with a "what if scenario". The small touches is what makes this watch great, far removed and with its own identity in what is a very cluttered dive watch market.
I like Glynn came up with looks great.I see the package looking like an arrow to go with the theme

You keep referring to the "Sherwood shield", but the 12 o'clock index and the crown have an arrowhead, not a shield. I managed to get the super-early bird price for the blue dial version!
Ahhh amazing I didn't see it as an arrow head, I totally can now. You managed to snag a great price. I don't think I did say but I would choose the green, I think that's my fave. Thank you for watching.
@@thebaldwatchcollector Yes, green is the natural colour for a "Sherwood Forest / Robin Hood" watch. The greens were all gone for the £325 price, but I managed to get in in time for the blue.
It’s a sharp watch, I myself don’t do the kickstarter thing though.
I have only had one on Kickstarter and it get funded successfully, I understand the risk but like the potential reward of bagging a smashing watch at a good price. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂

The black one is boring in my opinion. I bought the green one and I am super Happy with it. I would buy a second one in purple. I bought it because I like the design and it has no Date. I don't like the date complication.

great review, i think i can agree with you on almost every point. as for 'sherwood' logo, i think the size is spot on. the size of the dial, in my opinion, makes it look very good. if the logo was smaller, then the writings on the bottom would have to be super small. anyways, i think this watch is super sexy :D
and i wanted to mention that i pledged to kickstarter on day one, and i cannot wait for my sexy green commander :)
