- In this video, I am using some late summer tactics to catch some GIANT bluegill! The fish are ALMOST done spawning and I enjoyed this last attempt at catching them shallow!
there are so many different hybrids and different colors of bluegill caught in this video, I had a blast making this one!

Dude you kill me with these panfish videos. Our of all your big fish videos, these are the ones that make me envious. I just missed the state record channel cat a month and a half ago but would still rather catch a 2lb bluegill. Or those sunfish you catch in the clear water.

Wife and I used crawlers for those size Gills, When we switched to live crickets the gills got much larger. They are larger and faster than the rest

Ty, you have much more boldness than me, walking through the brush to get to the water. Here in the Southern Swamp, you have to be careful on who you disturb. Lots of ponds and lakes I won't even try because as Jim sang,, I don't like spiders and snakes, and I'll add alligators 😂

I love fishing for panfish, especially bluegill. They're so aggressive and so much fun, and my kids can catch them and have fun so I get to go fishing more!

Those fish are beautiful and I don’t mind catching them either. I caught a few on your new lures but they weren’t as big or as colorful and they never are. The only time I hated them is when my little sister went fishing with me and she caught 72 of them. People feed them at this pond right off a wall and I knew that would give her a chance to catch something. You can guess who spent the day taking them off the hook instead of fishing. Hey I watched you in 4K on a 55” screen so the colors were awesome!!

Usually, with other sunfish (considering Bluegills are a subspecies of sunfish, so its no surprise they can mate with green sunfish for example!)
