Thanks for the list. The super console X supreme PC looks cool, but for that price, you can probably get a prebuilt desktop pc with an actual gpu, the only downside is you would have to set up and download all the emulators and games yourself.
pc builds are easy now that libretro simplified Retroarch. 1. download and unpack retroarch 2. download cores, add games and configure controllers / settings 3. install launchbox and point systems you want to emulate to the retroarch cores

I have the 256gb Super Console X, I absolutely love it, esp right now with a pandemic and lots of free time on my hands. I havn't had an issue with it at all and even added some games to it myself.
I had to return the Super Console X Pro, due to having issues with the Junk SD card that came included. I got the Pawky Box & had better luck/ it's been fun. Though the controllers are also pretty cheap, as is the included SD card... which you wanna back up the image on PC/ to a better quality Micro SD card right away.

Looks nice...but a 3 year old USFF PC (Prodesk, Elitedesk or Optiplex, to name three) would cost £150...£50 for additional storage and it would do better than this Console X Supreme.
@@iLouieTube Whilst on your Shield, download the Android apps for your emulators from the Google play store, load your ROM game files on a micro SD card and plug into shield then enjoy retro fun. On the Shield, it pretty much works out of the box in most cases although some small configuration maybe required for optimum play it directing the emulation apps to your ROM files that are conveniently on the SD card that you've already plugged into your Shield.

My biggest concern with theese kind of softwares is the delay from the controllers. If you press the button the action comes like 1 sec after, makes it unplayable for me.. to bad you didnt mention anything about it in the reveiew...

Trouble with retro gaming is they are either cheap or very expensive so never a middle ground for those wanting a plug and play system. Still there is a demand for them, and pandoras box are not really much better either

I ordered a super console x pro off of Amazon and they put a junk SD card in there. It worked for 2 or 3 times then the whole unit stopped working. Had to get a refund/return. It wasn't a good experience. At that point I was skeptical about getting a replacement sent, the whole product didn't seem put together well at all. Which made me sad as I'd watched many videos before deciding to purchase, and was really looking foward to it. The product seemed like it was a more budget friendly unit & less time consuming process than doing a Raspberry Pi build from scratch, which i haven't done yet myself. ....and if you get a PI 4 pre built, ready to go out of the box, seller's are charging like $200 - 330 or so around the internet, which is ridiculous, as is almost the cost of a PS5, Xbox Series X. .....& is more/ or about as much (Depending on which site you buy it from) as a Nintendo Switch. I understand making a profit, but that kinda price point is ridiculous. The Super Console X Pro 256gb, or whatever is the option for the larger SD card included is about $130 on Amazon, where on A.E. it's $60-70, or was.
For me emulation is still best done on a PC, I've always used a pc with say, project 64 for N64 emulation, epsxe for PlayStation, SNES 9x for the SNES etc and on Mac I use openemu as a Swiss army knife for emulation, all of these run games pretty much perfectly but I understand the appeal of wanting something plug and play for those not into finding the best emulators, PS2 emulators are notoriously annoying on a pc/Mac so the free mcboot solution is a game changer

A pc that has been prebuilt and preinstalled yeah a console lol 😂… you can’t go wrong even with the cheaper naff devices…. You’re getting I don’t know 50,000 roms…. Back it all up and get another more powerful but cheap throw away device next Xmas and you build up a collection of roms without having to go to all the hassle of going to delisted places to source your games or waste time and internet bandwidth… I’m glad the Chinese companies are doing this otherwise none of this retro stuff would be wide spread! We would all be buying the ps1 classic or the snes classic with 20 games lol vs 50,000… anyway my thinking is anyone fearful about getting a cheap £60+ device…. This not like those devices from 20 yrs ago wit 500 games in 1 type carts where 450 games were clones lol… these modern devices allow you to build your collection of roms….. say you bought one of the cheap devices at the beginning of the vid out of curiosity but then 2 years later you migrate your collection of cheaply acquired handpicked roms to the pc beast! At a lower price! I’m considering doing this as there’s just so much you can do…. I’m sure people have made backups of these rom collections and put them on the internet as one file…. 4gb or 8gb edition does not matter for emulation 🤗

At ali express if you type sd card for pi 4 you will see 128 gb or 256 gb cards with pre load games. You can do it by yourself with less money.
