    I really wish there was a written tutorial for this. I've watched this video twice now and it's still a bit confusing for me. Must be the angle.

      +DeadOnArrival45 I was a little lost at first, too. I hope this helps anyone who isn't clear on how to do this nifty trick.
      1.) Remove the clear Warp GS asap. Since this causes everyone to teleport around randomly between turns, it just makes everything chaotic and annoying. Get this done in one turn if you can. Stack your guys and throw them over to the panel. Pick it up, and if possible toss it to a non-red tile; if you can't right away, just hold it until the next turn.
      2.) Kill all but one enemy and severely damage that enemy; this is so that you can force all of the clones to have equally low health. I suppose an alternative would be to just severely damage all existing enemies. Do this in one turn if possible.
      3.) Get everyone back to the entrance hall and place a mushroom (or thief box) as seen in the video. Place a blocking character just behind the mushroom. The elevation provided by the mushroom prevents your blocking character from auto-countering.
      4.) Start skipping turns (end turn, hold circle, repeat) to build up a sizeable army of low-health clones.
      5.) Pick them off with ranged attacks/spells. When clusters of them enter Revenge mode, blast them with area abilities for lots of shards.
      6.) Repeat steps 4 and 5 as desired.
      7.) Eliminate the rest of the enemies to end the round and collect your winnings.
      8.) Save. =P

      How do you Place the mushroom? The Thief box lets RM Counter and decreases the pop too much.
      Bit of an Edit: Had Red Magnus equipped with a bow (I'm still pretty low level), and THAT is what allowed him to counter. If you're going to do this trick I highly recommend the Thief's "create box" special. That way you're not relying on a mushroom to spawn where you need it to, you have the ability to create the box where ever you might need it.

      You just wait until one spawns in one of those spots, that's why you wanna keep the enemy lifted and just keep healing the one lifting it, if mushrooms stop spawning destroy some so they start spawning again.
      Also Red Magnus (Or whoever your tank is) might be better with a non-ranged weapon or no weapon at all, you don't want them to counter the enemies at all, they just need to be able to take damage, otherwise they might accidentally kill the last one(s) before you wanna leave.

    If anyone's still watching this, there's an overview of what's going on in one of the replies to DeadOnArrival45's post, hopefully that helps now that annotations are gone.

    there's one that's not as big (panel wise) that's easier to control and the enemies don't move granted its on a later part of the game

    I believe Item World is or is about to be unlocked by then so not a very efficient way IMO. That and 4-2 has lvl 99's available with a 50% xp boost. So run 1 character through IW til lvl 40-50, go to 4-2 at 17 stars (i think) with decent enough equip (enemies doesn't change) and the grind begins. Boot camp group jumped lvl 20's to 70 in a single clear on the 4-2 stage. By the time you can clear ordeal 1 the bonus items you can get with fillers makes money irrelevant.

    • @silverleon777
      @silverleon777  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Alexander Failoni True, but this is mainly for early game, aka before you finish the story, by the time you can efficiently do the lv 99 trick you will probably be done with the story or near to, and unlocked the Training stages anyways.
      This you can start doing by lv 20-ish.
      And as Robert Ackerman stated, this is all in one go, so any bills for "the next stage" will be applied without having to leave and pass them again and get into the map again and do the set up.
      I'm not saying 4-2 method or others are bad or that this is the ultimate/ best method, but this is a nice alternate with different benefits.
      Also Item World, well sure it's a nice way to level, but in here after the set up, this is nice easy simple and most importantly, safe to lower level units.
      Also allows to build up individual mana, level up skills (especially useful for quickly increase on range for magic), obtain shards, plus make a nice amount of HL early on, and yes later on you're gonna be making millions of HL and everything else with little to no effort, that's why I put "Early" in the title.
      Heck it can still be somewhat useful for a bit near the end/ early post-story if you make it 20 stars difficulty (lv125), Triple XP, and if your tank is sturdy enough, just giving stronger equipment to low level units can let you level classes and catch up left behind characters fairly easily by standing behind the tank, and again unlike the boot camp squad, each unit receives full XP, and Mana and you're also leveling the class itself, you can unlock rank 4 of each class every few mins with this method, tehn you can just make the higher level, higher rank versions, take them to Training stages and unlock the last two more easily.
      Remember, yes there might be easier ways to just level up your units, but this is not only for XP, but also all the other extra benefits you can get from it and the alternate convenience it might add to some.
      (Hm that post ended up being a lot longer than I expected...)
      TLDR: It has benefits other than just XP alone and not meant to be the very best like no one ever was, just an alternate method for early on in the game.

    yet another video that forgets this:
    Go to settings page 3
    turn "fast forward speed" to "on". this automatically holds "O" for you.
    set "skit fast forward speed" to "x4". this makes holding "O" go x4 faster instead of x2.
    The two settings combined save so much time when grinding.

  • @KeJien

    I'm only on chapter 3 so far, so I can't try this yet, but how much defense do you need to be able to tank the attacks and block the way? Also, while it doesn't matter for you since the enemy was doing 0 damage, what were you using to recover hp every turn? Or is that the SP regen you mentioned at the beginning of the video?

    • @silverleon777
      @silverleon777  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +KeJien For SP I used curry, for HP regen on Red Magnus I gave him Auto-recovery for 5% regen per turn.
      Alternatively you can just bring an Alurane along, they auto-heal 20% HP of units within 2 squares, so even if you're taking a little bit of damage, if that auto-heal can bring it back to full health, it won't matter.
      As for Magnus' defense (it shows it a few times during ht video), it's 1392 but he's quite overleveled you probably don't need that much, plus I got the enemies to lv30 (attack 300) they are originally at like lv 19 so you won't need as much def.

    If you throw enemies on each other (which fuses them, and sums up their level), couldn't you do this with enemies at a much higher level than 125?

    • @TheElfolampo
      @TheElfolampo 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +TheElfolampo Just to be clear, I mean throwing the original ones into each others, as this won't work on clones. You can also summon your Netherworld if you find the mushrooms sprouting all over annoying, after you're done with the setup.

    • @silverleon777
      @silverleon777  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +TheElfolampo Yeah you definitely can, but by the time you have to grind and can defeat enemies lv 200+ you will probably have better farming methods, maybe the ramped up carnage version might be useful again for higher levels.

    • @TheElfolampo
      @TheElfolampo 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Silverleon I tested this today, it's definitely doable, although I had to knock down the SP of the mushrooms with a Skull draining them, since they kept killing each others. It helped me level from 500 to 1200, with triple exp this is rather convenient compared to stage 1 of Martial Training (the only one I have unlocked, I'm still on chapter 9), where enemies are only level 445 at best. Then I did something similar with stage 8-3, the one with the succubi and the professor. Threw all of them into a succubus (which had an AI which wouldn't make her move) and then leveled with the level 1700 clones that spawned. I'm sure there's better stuff later on, but this kind of strategy really helped me. IIRC in some of the past games clones gave really low experience, but that doesn't seem the case here.

      Cheat shop, or you can also try fusing originals (copies can't be fused) together, altho I wouldn't recommend it unless you wanted a higher level than what you can get with the cheat shop for this.

    Grinding level on disgaea is really pointless (the stats growth is really suck because the level cap is 9999 not 99)
    Better grinding/leveling your equipment, the stats growth is huge

    • @thelegacyofgaming2928
      @thelegacyofgaming2928 ปีที่แล้ว

      True. Always grind equipment levels since they have great bonuses, and it's otherwise difficult to get defensive equipment levels naturally.

  • @thedoge8651
    @thedoge8651 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    you're probably better off in martial training 1. go to the cheat shop and tick the enemy difficulty setting to max (20 stars) and farm martial training 1. the enemies are weak level 400+ monsters standing on a +50% attack and +100% exp geo panel. i already have a level 700 sage, 100 mil HL, overpowered gears (3x royal rings on all characters, etc) and i'm only in episode 11.

      Rikku Freak Yeah...that's why it says its for early grinding.
      I wish people would read the description before rushing to comment on how late or end-game grinding is better, I mean yeah obviously if you're at thay point you're better off doing that, but this is not meant to be late/ end-game grinding, it's even on the title!

    So the enemies keep destroying the boxes I put up and they instead do the "eryngie dance" instead of their normal attack :/ did this get patched?

    • @silverleon777
      @silverleon777  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think so, just make sure you're not 100% blocking their path in a way they can't reach you or they'll attack obstacles, they need to be able to jump on them.
      It works best if you manage to get a mushroom to spawn there, just the right height to allow the Eryngii to jump on them and avoid counterattacks.

    • @buttfuckit7144
      @buttfuckit7144 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Silverleon they destroy the boxes even when they're on top of them, I guess I gotta get lucky enough for a mushroom to spawn then
