Ive spoken with both individuals and can say Jahlon should find a different profession, because any human interaction he has typically ends in him degrading others and treating them like shit. Narc has been grinding hard on his channel, putting in the work. He's an oddball, but he doesn't deserve a strike. Jahlon on the other hand could have his channel wiped and I'd be perfectly content.

He used to think he had a position of privilege (I believe he was in a rival guild to Steven in Archeage so knew him before) and would critique Ashes on a personal level. Although some of his points are valid, his arguments for; and his attitude make it impossible to be considered credible. He's riding down the same river as Gigabear. If he does end up playing, I'd be more than willing to earn some karma by PKing him
I actually got in a argument once in a video comment with Jahlon for defending FOMO. While I am glad he agrees with me finally, copyright striking innocent bystander Narc is childish.
In the most respectful way I can say this. Both of these guys are very poorly socially adjusted, and very degenerate in either picking fights, or attacking disagreeing people. I’ve also interacted with both, it’s jarring to a normie I guess you could call me. Idk maybe this just ain’t my crowd, they both just come off as assholes if you talk to them.

While that would be nice, an IP ban doesn't mean anything, since most IPs are dynamic and change literally every day, and even if not, can be easily changed.

Death threats are no way to go. Whilst I don't condone them AT ALL there is a sense of irony in that one ill conceived emotional response will lead to further ill conceived emotional responses. I just wish this didn't have to happen in the first place cause ultimately at least one creator is going to be harmed long-term.

Narc seems to genuinely like the game, and this false copyright claim seems to be totally BS. I still think AoC will bleed players pretty fast once the casuals figure out its not designed for them. If the world PvP isn't neutered in some way, the playerbase will cannibalize itself.
But good for those who want that type of game. They're just in the minority, and the vast majority of those raving about AoC either don't understand the type of game it is, or just ignore the facts in the hopes that it will be the 'next big MMO'.
There are no successful pvepvp games, they will all be ruined by RMT , boosters , cheaters, hackers , and finally the low life sweaties on disability.

Paradox has already submitted a retraction for the copyright strike, which twitch has apparently already approved, according to paradox in his youtube comments. Hopefully the issue is resolved

Just recently GSC gave a strike to Belarusian youtubers for using footage from official STALKER 2 trailer and talking parcially negative about the game development stage and discussed content leaks(no actual leaks were shown). TH-camrs sent a letter to the studio saying that they'd be happy to see the game thriving and got basically a "Fuck you" response from official representative. Now they're trying to delete their channel
They put few strikes on belorusian (but they speak in russian) YT gaming channel. Those bloggers acting as the victims but in reality they leaked everything about what was going on with STALKER 2 (leaked game on torrents way before the official release) and pushed its auditory to download it from torrent because this Ukrainian studio (GSC) supported Ukrainian army.
No reason to pretend as they did not pushed their auditory to not support GSC and download the game from torrents just because this studio supported Ukrainian army. You are full of bullshit and now you lying to non-russian speaking auditory

Unless what you're saying happened out of YT scope (im not subbed to their socials) you can't say they leaked something or pushed somebody to download it.

From what I remember, what they implied is that the development stage is in such an weird stage and there's not much interesting going on in the leaks and that the company gladly took money from pre-orders and used it to support the war which is not really what customers are expecting when they're paying for a GAME, so they kinda have a point IMHO

The long answer is that because of a law put in place in america when the internet was just starting to exist, it is assumed - legally speaking - that if a platform is moderating any content, then it is moderating all content. As such, if they decide to moderate which copyright strikes are considered to be valid, then they're taking responsibility for any copyright infringements that happen on their site. That would allow any company that had ever had any copyrighted material uploaded to youtube to sue them.
My knowledge on the exact reasoning and how it works legally might be inaccurate, but I remember having known it at one point, and I remember understanding why they can't implement moderation.

I followed J for almost 3 years and used to enjoy his views because they were different and made you think. After this happened I stopped following him on twitch. I can't believe someone who is all about free use and none DMCA music would strike another youtuber for having an opinion when his entire channel is centered around the same concept. Very sad plus he is a retired Military so as he has said his income from his channel is not even needed so he wouldn't understand how getting strikes and your accounts removed could be determental to someones life.

Not sure why a pre-aphla game can't ban the person making false claims they literally hold the keys to him creating content in the first place. CEO responds but takes no action that is an L in my book.
