The only problem I have with the PlayStation version is that the buttons don’t match when you’re not playing ps remote play. Try playing a mobile game and the buttons still show up like you’re using an Xbox controller(ABXY).

It's not too hard to figure out the corresponding button translations though. It becomes muscle memory after a while.
Here’s the thing if you buy the one for the PlayStation and you get the buttons all set up like the PlayStation controller but you’re playing the game and tells you to push the X button the X button is for the Xbox the y button is for the Xbox the a button is for the Xbox the b button is for the Xbox it does not tell you to put a square triangle circle or X
you can hide the on screen controls in PS Remote Play since you have all the hardware buttons
Actually if u have the android version of the controller only the PlayStation version will actually work with ps remote play. Maybe thats not the case with the iPhone version but if u have the android version u need white PlayStation version to be able to play ps remote play

@@CoZChristopher no worries at all it's useful info could save someone some $ and the hassles of getting one and not being able to use it with PlayStation. Only the PlayStation one is really worth buying for android users

I always push my in the other side first then port in

Biggest problem with the backbone is that it requires a subscription in order to use all its features. The backbone app and even being able to connect to iPad and Mac requires a $50/year subscription. Meanwhile you can get the same thing with Razer Kishi V2 and it doesn't have a subscription requirement to use fully.
Bro what the subscription does literally nothing good so honestly I could care less and it’s a year free

I have a bad experience with backbone it inquires a lot of internet service. It tends to lag or boot off game if the internet isn’t strong enough to make matters worst it does not run on phone Wi-Fi! I have a 1 terabyte internet service by Verizon so games on the backbone should run with ease, I guess not! I would not recommend you purchase the backbone if you don’t already own games on the cloud for PlayStation or Xbox. The system doesn’t not act like a self handheld system you can sink your preexisting controllers and download the remote play on your phone, for free! I am returning my backbone after being disappointed for week.

The BIGGEST BUMMER is that the PS version still shows the Y, X, A,B from Xbox so it’s the same soft hardware.

I don’t have a backbone system at all but I heard you can only use ps plus and backbone app on the PlayStation edition whereas the standard black one you can play Xbox, y, steam and backbone. Is this difference true? If contact a major factor
That’s not true and a great question. The PlayStation and Xbox versions are just branding and button labels on the main four buttons. The Xbox version has the Xbox controls labeled and the PS version has the PS buttons labeled, but device overall is the same 🙏🏾 I just did an updated video on the Generation 2 version! Buy the Backbone 2nd Gen Instead!

@@tyrarobinson6038 😔😔🤦🏽♂️ yep identical minus the design. The newer ones ship with inserts to allow you to use phones with cases and they upgraded Gen 2 for the USB-C version to be compatible with Android and iOS.

Hi 😊 , i have been watching videos on this device to know if it would be an interesting device to own since i have always enjoyed handheld Gaming more and your video made me buy it ! ( I was interested into Remote Play , i have a very good internet connexion and intend to play only at my Grandma's and Mom's houses 😊 ).
I am currently waiting for it , But i wondered if Remote Play on this device was more solid than the Ps Vita since it is a new handheld/accessory ? 🙂

I bought this Black version although i play on Playstation because i think it looks way better in black and for some reason i always prefered the XBOX buttons 😜

For Xbox cloud you don’t need an Xbox but you do need a ps5 for remote play. The backbone has several services you can play without owning a console, Game Pass/Xbox Cloud and GeForce by Nvidia may be the most popular right now!
You can also use steam link and play your steam games from your phone as well. Which also opens the door to playing emulator’s like dolphin on your phone!
I’m gonna have both lol PlayStation Backbone controller for PS Remote Play and for mobile games that can you show PS buttons, and then the regular Backbone for other games

What mobile games can show ps buttons?
Don’t the sticks have a better range on the newer one though? Idk how to explain this but as you slowly move the stick it has like gaps in the reactions versus say a ps5 controller, for example if you’re aiming in a shooter and slowly moving around it has a few speeds where as in the ps5 controller is gets fast with more movement consistently… if that makes sense haha
Also will I be able to play PS4 games like COD multiplayer, WZ or Knockout.

The only thing that would make the backbone even better is if it folded up like the original v1 razer kishi. But shit even the new razer kishi doesn’t do that anymore with their new v2 version of the kishi. So how is the s95b holding up for us since the video??
It’s holding up pretty good man! But I really hate the UI! It’s so clunky, but the picture still looks good and it games really well of course! Haven’t been able to spend as much time as I want with it! I’ve been playing Stray on it to put on my Gameplay channel! But that game kills great but doesn’t push the panel.

I bought the backbone PlayStation version because I thought it was just cosmetic. But does the backbone app configure to PS if you buy that version? Because I normally play Xbox. Should I have bought the Xbox version? I thought it was a just for look preference.
Hey should be the exact same experience just different cosmetically :) I can play both services from my Xbox version. But the button layout shows Xbox configuration :)

Yes! Although both units have to be connected to a network and you have to enable “remote play” inside of time console settings :)

@@joshuadicken680 Hey brother! Once you connect this device to your PS and enable Remote Play, the connection will turn on your PS when not there through the network. So you can leave in rest mode and then when you engage it through the Backbone it will power on, as long as remote connection is enabled and paired and connected to the network back home :)
I agree if you got the original backbone one don't buy the playstation edition it's just cosmetics everything is the same. Now I ordered the backbone one playstation edition because I don't have a backbone one i'm just a casual mobile gamer i'm mostly a console gamer.🥂😎
I play mine all the time lol! Xbox cloud is the real deal on there especially if playing like an RPG instead of an FPS game it’s perfect and you’d be surprised how well it looks on the iPhone

What happens when the iPhone 14 comes out and no lightening connector, usbc
I think they will need to have a piece that converts it at the connector. Maybe it plugs into bottom of phone or controller as there's enough clearance for one. Also, since the connection is more or less not carrying anything serious(data) it should be playable with miniscule if any impact to the gaming experience

This thing is trash, especially since they charge a subscription..no one should buy this, force Sony to make the VITA 2 ( with what people want, L2, L3 , R2 , R3 buttons and no stupid rear touch gimmicks and AAA games) they killed it off to make this garbage. Remote play will start your pc for you through the network connection! They will operate independently of each other if you’re on different networks! When there’s a connection issue the game will automatically pause! I am not sure how that will work with an online game like CoD, I’d imagine it would just stand their idle. I hope that I do helps
Make sure your PS5 is remote play enabled on console & put it on rest mode to remote play with backbone one also same wifi connection.
