  • Buzz marketing has been used and is still used around the world because it has many benefits. It can reach every part of the world, especially rural areas, because it uses the mouth-to-ear method. Here are some examples to get you going:
    1. The Old Spice
Most of the people who buy Old Spice today don't know that it wasn't always so popular.
It was an industry leader at first, but when other brands came along, it got lost in all the noise. In 2010, the brand is shown in a completely different way, some of which have been used as memes since then. The video for its first buzz marketing campaign, "The Man, Your Man Might Smell Like," was a cacophony of buttons, some of which were funny, strange, and unique.
The trouble it caused kept spreading week after week, which got more people interested.
    2. Uber
Uber has had more than 103 million active users in more than 700 cities since it started in 2009. Their new software was easy to use and didn't cost a lot to market. Users were quick to tell coworkers and friends about their experiences because they were so great.
Uber started giving free rides, sponsoring events, and giving discount vouchers to people who told their friends about the service. Users reacted as expected to this two-way incentive, since it was given to both sides and made sense to share.
This just goes to show that marketing doesn't always have to cost a lot of money. Users will come to you if your marketing is interesting and shows off your USP.
    3. Apple
Apple does a great job of getting people excited about its products. As they tried out different ways to market, like advertising, their Macintosh efforts were the most successful. Apple stands out from other companies in its field by being a synonym for innovation.
"One more thing" was one of their most well-known triggers. It was used to let people know that a big event was coming up after business presentations. It was used many times to show off things like the iPod Mini, the iMac G4, and the MacBook Pro.
    4. Starbucks
Starbucks has known for a long time that word-of-mouth is their best way to get new customers. But they have always made sure the quality is high so that the hype doesn't just stay the same, but grows.
It's interesting to see how buzz marketing has been used by Starbucks. The most important parts of a brand's good reputation have always been its personalized products and friendly atmosphere.
