As weissbier fans those 2 beers are an ocean away from the top brews we've tasted over the years and for me, once your palette is finer tuned it's difficult to go back to cheap supermarket value bottles. They're not terrible but just have'nt got the famous flavours we'd expect. Good honest review cheers.
the aldi weissbier is £1.69 last time i checked its a rip off at that price imo, back when it was £1.25 a bottle it was a great buy, wasnt a fan of the patronus either im pretty sure that price must of gone up also.
Preferred the Lidl version if I’m honest but not had it for a while, it couldn’t lace the boots of Franziskaner or Weinstephaner they are up there top quality stuff.

You can get 12 Paulaners for 21 quid in majestic wine. 1.75 a bottle. Bargain.

I always thought the Patronus was better of the two, that said I haven’t had the newer (no doubt inferior) 5% variant.
