Great video. I was also worried that your visa was one day over due. I see the love you have for each other and the end was amazinf seeing you meet up with your kids again. This is best family channel in the Philippines by far!
So sad to hear about his luggage and ordeal he went through but main thing he is safe back home with his loving family, there is no price on that, it is priceless.....
@@ag3957 SFO is the major part of the problem, so often delays and poor traffic Departures / Arrivals flows due to fog and terrible Departure / Arrival Design effectiveness. Never again SFO... And then driving to and from the airport is an epic nightmare..Nothing good about it!
What a nice welcome home. Now you can relax. Flying can be so stressful and taxing to ones' patience. Had the lost luggage thing happen to my wife and I two weeks ago as well. It was Lufthansa that forgot to forward our luggage from Frankfort, Germany to Tampa after our connecting flight there. I never put valuables in checked luggage for just that reason. Luckily for us, United < the mothership of the trip> brought it to our house the next day. Thanks for the info on China. I'll think hard about that next time I vacation to PI
Glad to see you home and safe buddy ... I have heard many BAD stories from expats flying in and out of Shanghai ... I never would fly there ever ... a couple of times I flew into Hong Kong via Cathay Pacific with a 2 hour layover without any problems ...
United re-routed that horrible booking for me with no other alternatives. I should have somehow cancelled that entire leg of the trip and returned to Reno and re-booted. We have also travelled Cathay Pacific on your same route with no problems. Honestly Anthony I am traumatized by the entire experience, and for good measure they lost my 1-piece check in luggage with personal security docs from the sale of the Lexus, and so much more I need to have in my possession.. Thanks for your concern 👍 John
Welcome Home John!!! I flew United last year, and I won't do it again. I looked at the tropical storm, but to me it didn't look like they couldn't land.
I feel your frustration and upset John 😔 but at the same time I’m happy that you’re back with your family 🙏 now you can relax and enjoy and of course time to eat good food that your wife cooked for you all.. God bless 🙏🙏🙏❤️
Sorry, hope your luggage is found. What a nightmarish journey. Mine was flying back to CA in 5 days and getting food poisoning. I went to an emergency hospital, was treated ($400+} and when my plane departed back home I skipped my onboard meals to avoid using the restroom. Arrived in SFO, skinnier but in one piece.
Did you know they were rebooking your ticket before you left Japan or did they reroute inflight? If I'd have known, personally I'd have refused the flight and either gotten a different flight or if necessary canceled the last leg and bought a different ticket. You've got me a little concerned, we've got a flight on United to Cebu on Dec 10th. I've already discussed it with Cindy and she agrees, if United rerouted through China we will refuse and do what's needed to fly to Cebu. We're all US citizens with US passports so staying a few days in Japan isn't an issue, just an inconvenience. We've flown United multiple times in the past with no issues, but I've been hearing many reports lately that they've started to have problems. 🤔😮😢
You are right John. If you are in a commie country, the stoic faces can be scary intimidating. I'm pretty sure they can't crack a joke or laugh at one. I noticed that with some people out here. Dont even know how to sat thank you. You would wonder if they were never taught in school or its just the way they are. I am glad you made it home. File a complaint right away. It hapened to me last year on my flight from DFW to LAX. My flight was significantly delayed for 10 hrs. My luggage didnt fly with me. It wa still in LAX when my flight arrived iin LAX. So I came back the next day to pick it up. American Airlines gave me $75 travel credit. The flight delay caused me to miss my flight to Manila on a rescheduled flight the next day. The nightmare ot caused me going to the hotel without my luggage.
Me too Jack but remember Shanghai China has a horrifying political history of blood shed with the CPC.army and human rights atrocities, it's in their DNA.
Glad you're back to sanity & your beautiful family. I too would be terrified to be in China as I've been critical (but 100% honest) about that communist dungeon of human rights violations. Happy ending to a crazy & messy return trip due to negligence from a american airline & a far east dictatorship. We have hope once again here in the U.S. after a historic election Victory last Tuesday. What a devoted & lovely wife you have my Patriot brother. God has blessed you & your awesome family. Welcome Home John!
@@TH-rn8hf , LoL, it's Not paranoia. That's a real possibility, never getting anywhere near there again, plus; at that point I had no luggage and was traveling with only a back pack which can be very suspicious to them... John

A direct flight from LAX or SFO to Manila would prevent all these issues.
And fly MNL to DGT direct too. So much easier, all Phil Air.
