They can breed with zero litter, too. Budgies breed in tree hollows and don't make or line their nests like other birds.

i dobt have a budgi but i had a beautiful bird that i raised for 2 years and yesterday he died of sickness
tge last moments of his life i still had hooe that he would survive and put him in a warm place but the unfortunate happened in front of me
befor he took his last breath he started to panic and move fast as if someone had hit him with a truck then he raised his head and stopped moving
it was the worst scene to watch
i just want to know why did he have this panic attack is it something i could have prevented was he in pain? it just keeps bothering me
ANY ADIVE ON BUDGIES NOT KILLING ALL OTHER YOUNG IN THE FLOCK??
I know I know, just sperate them! But they’re my grandpas and he won’t do that, as long as a couple survive each season he doesn’t care. So is there something that can be done to decrease the risk of budgies going in to boxes and killing all the babies??
And if anyone knows, how do they live in the wild if they’re so aggressive to others??
In the wild (I live in Australia where budgies are native), breeding pairs are well separated. They live in large flocks, but breed in separate roosts.
If a particular male kills babies, rehome that male or separate him, indeed. Otherwise, provide more nest boxes and a larger area for your breeding flock. Feed lots of boiled egg to the colony to distract from killing babies for protein.
Lastly, consider handraising your babies the moment eggs hatch to keep them safe.

How much land could they possibly have to each have a separate enough nest?? Mostly thinking out loud here but hey if u know the answer! XD
I’m pretty sure it’s MOSTLY this one grey female, probably a few others too, but this grey seems the most obvious. There’s also been a couple dead adults found in the boxes. I’ve tried to raise some chicks before that got kicked out, only saved 1 who died for unknown causes 6 months later while I was away, I loved that little bird so much, he was so gentle, I don’t regret it but I miss him so much.
Anyway, thank you very much for the advice!! I’ll see if grandpa takes it

Hello just recently my buggies layed eggs in that one hatched,so she is having her bady alone with her in the pot,is it okay or should I keep them separately
Guys I really need quick response my pigeons layed 2 eggs on 4th of November, the eggs hasn’t still hatched it’s been about 3 weeks now, my budgies, Ringnecks either me haven’t been disturbing them we provided them everything, the pigeons are still incubating the eggs daily and properly anybody know why is it unfertlized or taking more time etc.?

And I have 2 babies which I don't know what to name them depends on gender and color
