As a country we badly miss leaders of the quality of Manmohan Singh and Narssimha Rao who spoke very little and when they spoke everyone listened. The truth is that they had the intellectual height to critically examine things and take appropriate decisions.

Actually USA's robust system of congress and supreme court makes things possible. In US again "roboustness" you serve only 2 terms so leaders try to write their legacy well.

@@nikitasingh3850 Do not mistake me as a supporter of the current govt either. I am student of personality and mental disorders, I am knowledgeable in this subject. Leaders like Erdogan, Trump, Modi, Indira, Hitler and countless others in History all have one thing in common - they are Narcissistic personalities, this is a mental disorder. Ofcourse, it does not negate the good they may have done for their country, however their personalities are dangerous because they do not think about others, even the good that they do, is because they identify some benefit in that for themselves. They are wired to be able to think only about themselves, which makes them dangerous. E.g. if they do charity, it is not to help others, it is to make them look good.
