Mercedes is not friendly. Update to CarPlay should be very easy and not expensive. I have got the same issue. This is my last Mercedes car. I don’t know why Mercedes makes this problem to his customers.

At the time it was the best option price wise and bearing in mind it also included updating official Mercedes records to reflect the work being done and being genuine I think it was and still is a good price.
