    I know this might sound irrelevant but I was born in 2001 and wished i was in the 90s but after watching some of these commercials it brought back the nostalgia back when I used to race to any toy store just to buy mad balls or mutant ninja turtles but now as if 2021 once you try to watch commercials of the 2000s it would make you feel like it's the 90s all over again

    • @ThatWasRad

    Help me out,
    I'm trying to remember some old monster/creature toys from the 90s (or late 80s). One of them is like a big-nosed red monster (and buy the snot jar separately), and there was also a small blue & fat monster that squirts water out of its belly button. And another one is like a trash can-liked monster with a huge mouth (I think) and large hands. I don't remember the names or brand of those toys from my childhood.
    I need help remembering the name of those toys.

  • @theblackgoatofthewoods
    @theblackgoatofthewoods 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I know it's most likly a rights issue but many toys based on tv-shows are so out of sync or character it makes you wonder if they know anything about the products

    • @ThatWasRad
      @ThatWasRad  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Weird right! I'm sure there's some stories behind why that is that we'll try and do a video about at a later date.

    • @theblackgoatofthewoods
      @theblackgoatofthewoods 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ThatWasRad A good show that shines some light over that are The Toys That Made Us.
      They talk to old toymakers of the 80's/90's and most say that either they didn't have much time to produce so they used old toysets to make "new stuff".
      Also the rights seem to be a big problem.... (like the Shredder allways have the wrong voice)

    • @ThatWasRad
      @ThatWasRad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@theblackgoatofthewoods Yeah I've seen that. Another reason is they often made the toys before they cast the shows. Plus they shared molds quite a lot of the time with other toy lines.
