She spoke candidly about her career, influences and relationships, including a rumored marriage to R. Kelly. Technically, she could have said "I've never been married" and it would not have been a lie, either. "Annulled" means it's like they went back in time and erased the marriage; her parents were easily able to do this bc he married her under false pretenses (she was underage & he had a forged birth certificate made to try to make it look like she was 18, not 15).

What she says in EVERY interview I have seen is "I am not married." She never says, "I was never married." She also never talks down about R. Kelly. She doesn't even flinch or appear frustrated. She was definitely prepared for that question. No matter what, I love her and always will. She overcame something that most young women would have never overcome. Truly a survivor and fighter. Love and truly missed. :)
She does a micro expression to brace herself for the question in every interview I’ve seen where she is asked about her past relationship with RKelly. She’s very good at masking her emotion. She uses her smooth calm song voice to redirect the conversation. Very smart and well groomed.
In one of her other interviews she mentioned that she's been singing for a long time and even though she was young she said she felt like a veteran. Which makes sense if you've been doing something for a while and then you gain experience and knowledge on how well to do your craft.

@@tysilents9143 Agree! I thought she was so beautiful in Romeo Must Die and she was one of my first celeb crushes. Her sudden and premature death is very traumatizing to me and something that's very hard to get over.
Her soft tone voice and innocence made people love her. It’s really sad she passed at her prime. The whole story behind her death is pretty sketchy. R.I.P Baby Girl
