    @techsecmedia When he says 12 lb. flourocarbon line, is that being used instead of a tapered leader? Thanks for the info. Cheers

    Damn i use 6lb tippit. So seeing you fight them on the line instead of getting them to the reel was weird

    No way was that first carp 13lbs more like 7 or 8lbs

    lol. You should try going and sight fishing them in a river or wild lake... much more like the thing. More importantly it would be fairer on the fish if you were using more suitable gear than a 5 weight. Carp are realistically an 8 weight fish.

      Hi Martyn. Thanks for watching the film. Wild carp film has been shot and hope to have it edited over the coming months. Tight Lines. Nicky

    Can you explain what a "course lake" is??

    • @techsecmedia
      @techsecmedia  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Chris. Its to do with the type of fish stocked. Coarse fishing is a term used in the United Kingdom and Ireland for angling for coarse fish, which are those types of freshwater fish other than game fish (trout, salmon and char). The sport and the techniques used are particularly popular in the United Kingdom and mainland Europe.
      The term coarse fishing originated in the United Kingdom in the early 19th century. Prior to that time, recreational fishing was a sport of the gentry, who angled for salmon and trout which they called game fish. Other fish were disdained as coarse fish.

      +Chris Leslie I think it's "coarse lake"--as in "coarse fish," such as carp.

      meaning it holds carp roach bream barble dace tench etc for a match man in a fishing match or pleasure but basically stocked fish what you find in a river

    Hi i have a question about catching carp without a net and being alone, how do you recommend "landing" it?

    • @jaybay5939
      @jaybay5939 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      DONT YOU ALWAYS TAKE A NET

    • @HARDYSFISHINGADVENTURES
      @HARDYSFISHINGADVENTURES 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      and dont carry them from the water to the mat keep the mat right next too you to much can happen in 30 yards with a large carp in a small net

    Out of interest, why go carp fishing with such a small landing net?
    Interesting watch though.

    While you are blabbing away about the cushion and what all, the carp cannot breathe. Get it back into the water! Good grief!

      Paul Smallriver or let it die. Unfortunate these creatures are bad for the health of the fishery
