I am From Haiti and we use sounds like this For plantation a lot...Music is Life
i am an AFRICAN...A PROUD AFRICAN ...
I can imagine how it was in the ancient times where whole villages of people doing this during the night with large camp fires with volume so loud they could be heard miles away through the night...Peace and Love
No it was sacret, they never just played any time or for any occasion neither for anyone like these modern days Was done only on day of Umuganuro or kwimikwa. Only the King could determine whn to play Drums . it was a too sacret and Taboo. Do's and don'ts.skin cows used, Type of tree used to make Drums. The leading Drum "Karyenda" had a human Wife."Mukakaryenda" Whos job is to clean it wth ghee "Butter ". She ll Never get married. Forever virgin. Only "Mwami "the King could play the leading Drum on day of" Umuganuro" harvest festival.
Mexicans are European
@@donmason8123 Many of them are, but there are also many aboriginal Mexicans, among them Lacandón and other Mayans, Otomí, Zapotecs, Nahuas (descended from the inhabitants of the old Aztec Empire), Rarámuri, and Purhépecha, just to name a few.
I'm so happy I cam across this. I didn't know this particular drum or style existed.
Brings back childhood memories. I lived in Bujumbura for a few years and got to watch the drummers back then perform as well as the Tutsi warriors dance. It has stayed with me and I am glad to be able to show my family what I saw then. THANK YOU.
volley6man the Tutsi warriors dance??? In Burundi????
+Rodrine Gakiza I am also wondering! There is no ethnic culture in Rwanda or Burundi, the OP seems to know different.
🤫🤫🤫🤫

What exactly do you mean by "Tutsi warriors dance"? You might be referring to Burundian traditional dance or the Rwandan dance of heroes. The point is that there is national and regional culture, not ethnic.

You are the best and first in the world

Good drumming
There are good storytellers.
iN FIRST I THINK IT IS A HUNTERS PIECe. The dancer makes an animal step, i do'nt know what animal, he is very elegant.
ThS i kind of dance MOre over contributed to teach skills for hunting and it seems to be a good traiing while making fun.
Thank fot the trip.
christine bardin this is like a victory chant from war in Burundi we drum in a very unique way
Before colonialism drums were strictly played for the king. In kirundi our language we don't say "The monarchy" ,we say "The drum". It's the ultimate symbol of royalty in the African great Lakes kingdoms. The burundian dynastic drum was called Karyenda, the rwandan one kalinga, Ankole had Bagyendanwa,...
so great! it must have been so loud!
this is raw power!!!!

C’est qui ce type qui se permet d’entrer dans le cercle des tambourineurs ?
Ça c’est perturber les gars qui chantent et dansent.
Ça ne se fait pas
