Thank you SO much for posting this. I heard these spectacular drummers at this year's Martin Luther King Banquet (19January 2015 in Dayton, Ohio. I was completely blown away by the power, intricacy, and feeling in their drumming.
I proud of every African traditional dance. I'm forever greatful for being African. How i wish we all wake up to our true, unveiled and rich energy and culture.
I find it so amazing all the parallels in traditional and tribal music across cultures! Beautiful!!! I hear Taiko drumming here. When i go to pow-wows, I hear it too.
No they came from Africa and now they live here in dayton so in my we have world fair where every for every country show their cultures dancing or singing
The announcer ruined the vibe at the end with her condescending tone. Other than that the performance was of course astounding and I loved seeing the joy and diversity of the crowd.
The Burundian Royal Drummers are the best drummers in the world, with due respect to the rest. Love from India. Love for Burundi ❤️
They are definitely unique. I would suggest you watch " Doudou Ndiaye Rose" master drummer from Senegal .

The drums are sacred as well as the word goma which means drum in Kirundi, Swahili and Kikongo.
Ingoma: drums has two means in Burundi 🇧🇮. 1st is kingdom, 2nd drums. Thank you
