Very envious of your fantastic collection of NOS parts Keith, I'm struggling to restore my 1941 WLA with second hand rusty crap😂 I remember the 80's in Europe when we had all the ex MAP parts coming out of Norway and Greece, we threw away parts we would kill for now. Great videos series, following with interest.
I seem to remember an American collector (called Sarafan?) Buying up.all the NOS that came out of Holland before we had a chance. He had motors, transmissions etc still in the crates. I may have an old sale catalogue somewhere.
i believe he still selling . he bought piles of this stuff back in the eighties . if i remember correctly he bought out large quantities of wla wlc from africa . i seen pics of the bikes piles on top of each other in containers .
these engine cases have no number . i'll show them in the next video . army surplus. i've seen multiple sets of cases with hand stamped numbers but with non harley stamps and they never turn out right. harley had there own stamps and the fonts are unique. then to do it right you should use numbers that came from a blown set of cases.
That's going to be a great looking bike someday.
definitely unique. just got to win the lottery to finish it lol
nice
thanks . thanks for watching
Making progress.
nice having some time off to work on this and other projects . thanks for watching
I have a 1941 WLA frame and motor with matching cases I have about 75% of everything I need to put it together except for the army tins
sounds like a great project . 41 wla is a rarer bike than 42 /43
Darker green is Korea for sure
that's what i thought
Handlebars for Korean WLA were different than the 42WLA ones
curious in what way? i have a set of 52wla cases i plan on building in the future
Spirals and the end of handlebars are a little different, You can check it in Palmer.
@@Twojstary33love i have a set bars for my 57 servi . they were a combination of springer and hydra glide bars if i remember correctly,
