I visited the mine yesterday, there's an excellent museum there now, a miner's cottage done up to show three different periods, the incredible library and of course, the mine itself. If you've never done the tour, go. Go now. It's remarkable and moving, a credit to the legacy of those in this clip.
We need to keep places so full of history alive for our future descendants and tourists to see how industry like this worked, and the hard lives of the miner's and their families. I've visited many years ago, before I lost the use of my feet to osteo-arthritis, but what a lovely memory to cherish Tich.
