I was at the game for 701 with my dad, hes 73 now and it's probably the last Cardinals game we will have together. I wont ever forget those moments and it's unreal to experience it when I was a kid at 5 years old to nearly 30 years old now. Thanks for the memories Albert.
I live in LA, and I am a Dodger fan. However, I got tickets for the game vs the Cardinals on 9/23 hoping 5 would hit 699 and 700, and that’s what happened. Given how fortunate enough I was to get to see 700, I learned that we can never takes legends for granted. The entire place rooted for him even though it was played at Dodger Stadium, not Busch. It was unforgettable and surreal to see and I’m sad to see him go, but he more than earned it.
I feel you bro. I’m also a dodgers fan and it would’ve been better at Busch stadium. Albert has come through so much his entire career for so long. He deserves this. Except not the dodgers who lost to the padres in the nlds
When my Astros were in the N.L. You broke my heart for what you did, honestly that’s what legends do, glad I was fortunate enough to see an all time great play and get 700 HR’s plus 3000 hits, not sure if there will ever be anyone like you, GOD BLESS YOU Pujols.
Dude he has 13 or 14 seasons of 100 rbi or more and two with at least 95 when he barely missed. Lmao His rookie rbi record still stands 130 something smh He was unreal and a clutch hitter in his day. 3 bombs in a single World Series game lol Animal
I watched it in real time, but seeing the three-HR WS game against Texas still makes me emotional. There's something about what Pujols did that can never be replicated.
I thank you Albert you're my best baseball player growing up and I'm 61 years old so I kind of was watching you play since 2001 I believe it was and you've been phenomenal I never thought you would get this far God bless you you did a great job for baseball and as fans we appreciate you very much

One of my favorite things about Albert was he always hustled around the bases on a homer. I don't mind people who take their time, but I always thought it was cool how fast he went.
Amazing man! And a class act all the way. Remember the last at bat of his career came in the postseason against the Phillies. It was a base hit. (Molina too)
The Machine! A true testament to a big man never giving up on a true contact swing. Pure beauty. High, tight and exploding with quick hands DOWN through the ball. (Hot topic yes) but he did it right and absolutely mashed through his whole career. 💯
What made him fall all the way to the 13th round in that 1999 draft? Like seriously, I just want someone to dig up that draft scouting report on him and explain what exactly were his weaknesses.
- Heavy, bulky body. Extra (weight) on lower half. Future (weight) problem. Aggressive hitter with mistake HR power. Tends to be a hacker. Chases. - Russ Bove, Milwaukee Brewers (1999) - Good bat (speed) with very strong hands. Competes well and battles at the plate. Contact seems fair. Swing gets a little long at times. Will over pull. He did not hit the ball hard to CF or RF. Weight will become an issue in time. - Gary Johnson, Kansas City Royals (1999)
Can you imagine if Father Time was kind to Pujols in his 30s? He legit could've been the all-time leader in Doubles, Home Runs AND RBIs. Regardless, he's a unanimous HoFer, no questions asked.
