My helpful hint for trying to hide the projector... I used large sheet of cardboard (big enough to go across the base of the window) and cut out a cemetery backdrop that affords me the opportunity to tilt the projector slightly upwards and adjust the video using the keystone adjust available on most every projector nowadays. This hides the projector perfectly and adds to some of the spookier Halloween projections. For Christmas, I guess you could use silhouettes of gift wrap boxes etc. Also instead of a tripod (which would raise the projector too high for my windows) I used a simple carboard box, extra cheap, lol. But as Zach mentioned ATmos FX are the best, hands down. There may be sites selling cheaper effects, none have their great quality or clarity.
Great video. I just used a frosted shower curtain (which works great) and since i already had curtains hanging on my window, i was able to just hang the shower curtain on the same curtain rod.
Yeah some projectors won't let you, mine do. I load them in and then select the ones I want and it puts them on a loop. This year I'm going to switch to this one that is more designed for this stuff, amzn.to/3rIowNe Hope you have a lot of fun. The kids loved it last year.
Did you project onto it or was it see through enough to go through it? The idea here is the projector is on the back and people are on the front. Just curious, I want to try this
Thankyou for this thorough video. Got the hubs to agree to buy the projector you recommended for prime day. So excited to use it with the atmos fx videos!! Like like like!!
What would you say is the difference between holographic gray material, the white translucent material, & the Window Virtual Reality Material? Not sure which would be best for the window-I see you used the gray material but how does it compare to the others?
It really depends on your projector and effects you buy. The grey can create a different effect for larger scale things. It can look more 3d. Best thing to do is order it in Amazon and try them and then send back the ones you don't like. I personally use the white translucent because it gives the effect in my windows as people walk by that I wanted I use this one amzn.to/40cvjNW I also use this amzn.to/48hLwn5
Thank you for this. I'm finding it tough to find instructions/demo showing how to display a vertical image. The projectors seem to play to the horizontal displays, leaving it up to our own devices to show vertically. Without having to buy a tripod, any suggestions? Cheers!
AtmosFx has two formats with most packages. Vertical and Horizontal. You would want vertical. You do have to torn the projector on it's side like this amzn.to/417fJBo This will allow you to do like mine inn the video
Thank you. I download the vertical. It's just a matter of getting the projector set up to broadcast it. This system seems to be geared more toward the horizontal display. I bought the tri-pod. @@Zachus
The tripod should allow you to turn it vertical, on it's side, then you have to go into projector settings to change it to project sideways and adjust orientation. I need to do a video on this 😁
My window is like 32” X 60”. Is that too narrow to get a good view. Seems like all the videos are in landscape mode and a lot would be missed because of the size of my window. What do you think?
Did you watch they video? 🤣 I talk about this. They have horizontal and vertical options. You turn the projector on it's side like I did inn the video 😉
I have looked through every setting. When people have asked this same question on Amazon, they have replied with instructions to “simply” use video editing software to stitch several together… but a NTFS/Fat32 USB can’t handle single files larger than 4MB. I ended up just hooking up an AppleTV and streaming to it.
Some projectors I've used do this and also don't let you loop. I found this one that is made more for this type of thing that I'm going to try this year. It's a little pricy but if it works then it'll be worth it for me to use at Halloween and Christmas each year. amzn.to/3rIowNe Hope you have a lot of fun. The kids loved it last year.
That's a whole other thing. There are speakers that are motion triggered or just having a bluetooth speaker, you can wire a speaker from the projector to outside or crack the window... I opted not to do this
I got a Vankyo 470, bout the Phantasms pack, cant get my USB to play any format of movie i make. Am i just just supposed to drag each file in or make a movie like i did with filmora? the projector won't see my movie file...
They have instruction on this at AtmosFX, support.atmosfx.com/article/296-how-do-i-select-the-right-usb-stick-or-sd-card-for-storing-my-decorations I believe I had to reformat my USB stick and load it into the home directory (no folders) then it would read the different movie files that I could select from or play all of them in a loop. Be sure you unzip the downloads on your computer then you have to select the .mp4 movies from the folders that you want to play and copy them to the USB root directory. Then on your projector look for USB and it should read it and let you select if you want sound, loop, etc... My Projector had this built in, amzn.to/3wCNKvA
@@Zachus I used Filmora to make a video, MP4, .MOV etc and the projector will not see it. I did format the USB Drive. So am I NOT supposed to make a long movie, just drag each scene into the usb drive in the order i want them to play?
No you download them and load the .mp4 into the USB stick at the root directory. On your Projector > go to USB and it will or should have a way to select more than one and loop with or without sound. A lot of people do this to play a movie if their projector doesn't have or isn't connected to wifi.
You need to find or go online and find the instructions to your projector. The projector is the issue not the mp4 files. Got to figure out on your brand/model how the USB part works. From reading the manual it sounds like you might have to run them from your phone connected to the projector. Not sure though... What steps are missing? You need a projector, window screen material and the video effects. It's really simple. If you get a Bluetooth projector you can get a cheap speaker that works great. I'm working on a new video on this and would like feedback on what steps you are looking for. What's missing from this video that you still feel is unknown to you? Thanks for watching and commenting. Look forward to your feedback

With AtmosFX you get Horizontal and Vertical options. I have a tall slender window so I needed the vertical option and to do that you turn the projector sideways, which is why I recommend this tripod, gives you both options. Then in the projector settings you can change the orientation to be reversed, upside down, both, etc... till your image shows right. This is what makes it so flexible for different window types. Hope this helps
I use the atmosfx silhouettes every year. They look amazing. I frequently get compliments about how cool it looks.
Yeah it's so great and fun for the kids. Pretty easy to setup too

I used a painters drop sheet cut to size and blu-tacked to my window, for the AtmosFX window projections. only cost a few dollars and looks great!

When using MP4 videos on USB (on mini projector you recommended), how to you keep the file titles from showing on screen?
There's a setting that hides them

Scrolling to the part he makes one 😂

Your projector isn't outside. The Bluetooth speaker goes outside so people can hear the accompaniment sounds that come with the videos

How do you loop Halloween holographica without the play button stuff showing up...like when it loops play button shows up and it's stupid
