Beautiful! I was an odd child, bought Robert Goulet and Andy Williams albums when everyone else was buying the Beatles. Your voice reminds me of Goulet. Would love to hear you sing "If Ever I Leave You" and "Impossible Dream."
How exciting! I adore R&H musicals, so if you pull it off well, Im halfway yours. Their songs for men are fabulous. Heart wrenching. And then that voice? Oh ye gods, and the face to go with it?💔stop me🔥It’s all I can do not to stalk you. 😘
I loved this song from the first time I heard Robert Goulet sing it. I put off watching you sing it because it is early in the day here in Oregon (Portland). I knew it would make me tear up. I'm glad to say I'm not crying, you're crying! I just have something in my eye. Yeah, that's it. I have something in my eye. Both eyes, yeah, must be some pollen, yep pollen in my eyes.
Stephen THANK YOU FOR FOR CONTINUING TO SHARE YOUR AMAZING VOICE WITH US ❣ Also, your incredible SPIRIT, MANNER, PRESENCE & GREAT LOOKS❣ You are a force of nature, with phenomenal healing energy 💞 Ever since I started following you, I consistently wish you ALL OF THE BEST - NOW & THROUGHOUT YOUR LIFE❣
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING STEPHEN!!!! Your voice would lend to any musical so well and what an opportunity for those that will see and hear that MAGNIFICENT voice. 👍🏿❤😊🌈🎶🎵🐻
Steve, missed this when you posted it. Wow, a great solo performance. I’ll bet you would also be terrific singing If I Loved You with a strong Julie Jordan. The two of them singing to one another within in the context of the characters and the show make it perhaps the most powerful love ballad in the musical theater canon. Thanks for this moment.
I love musicals, but unfortunately have gotten to experience very few in my life, except for in the movies, but Steven, if you were in one somewhere that I could get too, I would just try my darndest to be able to see and hear you in person! Your voice is so special and has so much feeling the songs you sing, I just thank you so much for sharing your gift with the world :-). Hearing you sing, for me, takes me to a 'happy place' which we all need in this strange world today :-), something to treasure and look forward too. blessings, kate
Hey Stephen! I've just stumbled upon a couple of your videos and would like to say a few things, if you don't mind. First, the obvious. As to your voice, bravo! Love the tone, power, control, technique, clarity, range, all that good stuff. I want to see you live and then buy your album and ask you to sign it. Better still, I suspect you'd be fun to work with. I'm reminded of the start of my own career, when an actor/singer who I deeply admired came to my dressing room after a performance and said: "You're young, you're attractive, you're talented, you're charming... - and you'll never work with me!" HA! But actually, in your case, I do have one note, if I may? I see in your bio, you're also a voice teacher? Great. But I hope you still study with a different voice teacher? As the old saying goes, an attorney who represents himself has a fool for a client. I think you need the objectivity of another teacher, who can temper your impulses and recommend, not what you can do, but artistically, what you should do. I'm posting this here, for example, because Rodgers & Hammerstein don't need your embellishments. Their work doesn't need your help. It's time tested, and we still sing it, because it has still held up. So if you want to put your own artistic spin on it, please do so while still singing their notes. You can do far more and more successfully with phrasing and intonation, in my view, than with what you're trying to do with rewrites. In other words, just because you can sing the phonebook doesn't mean you should. And when you do, pick your moments so they come off as surprising, spectacular, grounded and organic, instead of just self-indulgent. I know you know exactly what I mean. So that's my only note. Nothing else is needed. You're brilliant, my friend. I wish you continued success and I'll make a point to check in from time to time to see what you're up to. To that end, if you have a website (which you should!), please post the link in your About section. If you've recorded, please post that info too. Thanks! Sorry for the length of this. Hope at least some of it was useful. All the best! Cheers!
It finally dawned on me.....please promise me you will play the Prince in Student Prince, if it's ever got made into a musical or film. (even Mario Lanza had to trim down for the silver screens, and he never made it in this case, a loss for humanity, ironically, for human vanity, just like the wars ; ).
he needs a vocal coach for his dynamics the song was anti climatic ending low and the belting holding notes out of syncapation very amaturerish young man listen to the pro's who recored this b way aria like mcCREA AND GOULET AND LANZA !
I pictured you singing the songs of Carousel. Oklahoma, too.
One of my all time favorite songs
Magnificent.
Carousel has been my favorite musical since I was a little girl.

wow! As always, wow! Something atmospheric and poignant about the video, stage being swept as if one's golden chances are being swept away.....
That guy sweeping doesn't look to be doing a very good job.
