Hello School of Photography. I really liked your presentation on Snow photography because; It was very artfull And The techs were were presented in a followable fashion. With many thanks geo Chiang Rai Thailand
Thanks for providing the photos and post production info, really useful. I’m going to give your Lightroom course a try off the back of binging a load of your videos this week. Thanks again for the great content.
I really like your videos gives me inspiration of the different style of photography there is I'm still learning but I love my journey as a photographer
My mum was a bit of a good pickher girl and it was the agreement with what shill do so she was parity good to see if her family and friends loved her pickher pose aowt she tells everyone when she's takin it is a man to step up and and its a girl if she's takin it slowly
Really like you video and style. Was surprised to see you're shooting in apature priority mode rather than manual. There seems to be a real culture that everything but manual is bad. It's good to see someone using the tools that we have. Keep up the good work
Great video mate. I’m about to go out with my Nikon d300 to shoot some snow photography and this video has gave me some great inspiration and a little more confidence. Keep up the good work
Great! Little help pls; have a canon EOS m50 mrk2. The instruction manual says don't use it below 0 degrees Celsius. ¿Does it means the camera get damaged if I shut photos in the cold Winter? ( -10 degrees ) I Know I should put it in plastic bag When go from outdoors to indoors, to avoid condensación. But wil camera suffer also during the Time I keep it Out in the cold?😢 Also, in foggy or humidity in tbe air, any tips to avoid damage during the Time the camera is oudoors? Thanks✌
Thank you for the awesome video and tips. Very nice pictures!!!!!I have also a tip for you about the seeds where you talking about. This are de femal seeds of the hazel. :-)
Thanks. I'm actually wearing a pair of golfing gloves. They are not that good in this type of weather to be honest but there better that nothing! Hope that helps 👍
The School of Photography thank you. I know what to get when I go shooting in the cold. I’ve got some trespass ones, quite thin but still not easy to adjust the camera settings. Have to remove them repeatedly. Thank you for your videos and keep up the good work. Learnt a bit from your videos. Thank you !
Hi, prices are on every course page. Here's our membership page, again with the prices on Please have a look through and if you do have any further questions please drop us an email. www.theschoolofphotography.com/courses/membership
+Tami Patterson hi, you'll find where the settings are in your camera manual. As each camera works slightly different you'll have to check it for yours. Hope that helps.
+Steven Ortiz hi, in the video it shows you the shutter speeds used for the shots. Exposures for sunsets and sunrises will change depending on the effect you want and light available. You really need to learn about photography to get to that point, a few TH-cam vids won't do it. We sell a complete guide to photography online courses on our web site. Hope that helps 👍
Thank you. I actually purchased the basic guide from guys and it helped me with the basics. How many more packages are there in total? I think you guys do an amazing job with tutorials.
+Steven Ortiz hi, thanks for purchasing one of our courses. The one you want to take you further is this one www.theschoolofphotography.com/complete-guide-to-photography This will teach you how to control photography properly so you can expose correctly for any situation. Hope that helps 😊
The School of Photography perfect I will do so, thank you very much for your quick response and for actually responding back to me. It means a great deal. I'm new at photography and I'd like to be on your level of greatness.
Hi, thank you for the video. Pictures are nice and the data along is much appreciated but I'm surprised that as a photography teacher, you do not mention at all the white balance settings so important for snow photography. Because as for exposure, in snow, AWB from camera gives quite funky results. Anyway for the readers, 8000k is a good start, then fiddle up or down. Otherwise, may I ask what tripod and head you use ? It looks like a Manfrotto 055XPROB but I'm not too sure...
Is there something you do to get your gear exposed to the cold and then get back inside ? Some of you may laugh but I want to avoid condensation in my gear.
before I really jump into the video , I'd like to say that I'm watching this in the Middle East , and the air conditioning is working over time !! - ALSO how can I /should I use ND filters to photograph snow ? , thanking you in advance .
Doesn’t you camera have rotating flip screen for not need bend down that far? I take adavantage off lip screen all time someone in my way flip screen down hold camera over there head take shot at zoos comes in handy at
The School of Photography watched it again - other than a reference to auto-bracketing nothing on addressing exposure problems in snow. I also don’t appreciate the patronising response. I know yoga teacher but I’m not a schoolboy- don’t treat me like one.
The tip I've heard (not in this video) is set exposure compensation to overexpose because your camera will try and make the white gray. IE: play with how much overexposure to get the result you want.
Beautiful pictures . I Love The School of photography 💟💟👍👍
Thanks Aman, glad you liked it. :)
Thanks so much for the tips. One's generosity brings joy and happiness to many.. Love it. 💕
You're welcome, hope it helps 👍

first time I havent seen a beer in your hands lol

Excellent Video ! What gloves are you wearing?, you're not struggling to use the change camera setting with the gloves on.

Hi Mate, RAW or JPEG for snow photography??? Best Regards.
Raw is best.
I was interested in some of your photography courses but when I looked on your website, as usual, no prices. Why?

How do you set your camera to do bracketing. I have a canon t3i.
+Tami Patterson hi, you'll find where the settings are in your camera manual. As each camera works slightly different you'll have to check it for yours. Hope that helps.
Great shots as always! But when do you know what shutter speed to use when taking pictures like this or on a sunset or rise time?

How do you keep your gear from fogging up,going into the cold and coming back from the cold?
Hi, just make sure the gear is in the cold for a while before you use it.
are they raw. and did you put them all in brkts
Hi, yes they are.
This is much help ful but how can we take great pics at high sunlight without a extra filter lenses
Hi, thanks for your comments, there's a great tip for that in the video. Hope it helps! 😊
I noticed you had white balance on cloudy. Is that what you recomend for snow.
Hi Daren, I didn't use cloudy for these shots. It think it would have been on AWB if I can remember right. Hope that helps 👍
Thanks for replying. .
1080 Fps50. do you use PAL video system ?
Yes we are in the UK and use PAL. Hope that helps 👍
@@theschoolofphotography respect.
We aren't in the USA or Canada. Many poeple don't understand that
@Next Level Code sometimes 25, sometimes 50. Like to experiment every now and then.
I find it hard to bracket.
It's not easy at the start, you really need to understand the control of photography first. Thanks 👍
Are you using a filter?
Not in this video.
That tree's a filbert (hazel) ;)
Nice video! I wonder if you over-expose as you taken photos from the snow?
Hi, thanks, glad you liked it. You do this when you bracket. All explained in the video. 👍

Hi, the 5's don't come with a flip screen. My knees would be in better shape if it did! 😊
not much reference to the particular requirements of shooting in the snow - more about composition
+ni ch watch it properly
