Fascinating information you have found, my daughter & I have been & looked at the church but we had no idea of the significance of this church & its relics. It will be interesting to go back there now.
    👍

im embarrassed it took me so long😄, I have been wanting to see the stones for years but it was closed for renovation for a while, but was surprised on the history and significance when I researched deeper

That place seemed packed with interesting and slightly mysterious objects. Well documented visit! 👍👍 I often look at Tywyn thru the binoculars (from Borth) haven’t been yet tho

This is so amazing. This church is truly beautiful. So sorry for the slow watch. What an amazing place. I need to go here. I am upset that I missed this though when I went to Wales last time . I went along the cardigan bay coast and literally passed this place going to Aberdyfi ( My granny was from Around here) I am now kicking myself as missed this church. Well, it's just an excuse to go back!

@@bella_Areghostsreal Us smaller channels need to support each other because of how the Tube works so I try not to miss any💗👍

I wonder if the blade markings on the crying knight are more of a symbolic use someone would apply to a blade in honour or respect of the warrior or passing on powers to the blade being sharpened? rather than simply using it only to sharpen as sharpening stones were never in short supply? Great video and footage of the church✌️

That makes sense, it's in a church so not every Tom dick n Harry would be able to get in and sharpen implements in the church, a few I have visited have areas where tools have been sharpened but usually on the outside of the church, not a monument, I have seen them at stone circles as well, they would be of a more ritual use possibly👍

How long does it take you to get there?

up to 4 hours on average from Derby but it has taken me 5 and a half, depending on the weather and traffic, there are also a lot of 20 mph roads in Wales now so that adds much more time, idiots😬
