This was a total SETUP dude. That was the cleanest box I've ever seen ran AFTER three years. You must never open a door or window. Damn sure have zero pets. Mine after three was mummy wrapped in dust. Had a wool coat over the condensor coils LOL.

Hey Ray, I think cleaning the condensor coil and surrounding components of a refrigerator is one of the most overlooked maintenances. Really easy to forget about it. Great work Sir! Looks like brand new!

Thank you for this! My fridge is making a heckuva scary noise. I learned by looking at other videos that it is probably the condenser coils. I decided to search for GE Refrigerator and here you are, showing me how to get at the coils on my fridge which I wish I could say looks exactly like yours but my fan was much dirtier than yours! Kudos to whoever keeps your home so clean there was no grime on your fan or any part of your fridge's innards.
I was going to tip the fridge like some guy said but thanks to you I won't have to try to do that. You saved me, dude.

I like the old Coca Cola bottle opener! It actually came with the house. I think it was even here back in the 1970's when I used to visit the people that lived here.
I'm hoping this refrigerator will last as long as the one it replaced.

Thanks I have the same fridge but white and it hasn't ever been cleaned. it's starting to be loud and hot between the fridge and freezer door so hopefully a good cleaning will fix that.

I Also would like to add I figured out all the dust built up on the fan made it stop running making the condensor very hot so after cleaning I just spun the fan manually and it works like new again. 😆🖒 Thanks once again.
That's great! I'm glad you got it fixed. I ran into that very recently myself. My Mom had an old 1996 GE in her garage and she was sure it had just stopped working from old age. I decided to check it out first and sure enough all I had to do was turn the fan a few times by hand and it took right off again. That was a couple of months back and it's still running.
That was so cool !! What a great idea sticking the vac nozzle in and brushing from the front. I have no doubt you regularly clean out your dryer vent too. I didn't know you should clean your fridge condesner coils, but it makes sense. What happens if/when they get real dirty full of dust? I enjoyed that, Ray! I want to do my fridge now. It's about 6 years old.
Thank you SheetRockGIrl!! The first time I tried this, I was surprised how well it worked. I could see the cloud of dust going straight into the vacuum. If the coils get really plugged up, the refrigerator will run a lot more and this could eventually burn out the compressor. I'm glad you liked my video SRG!! Thank you for the awesome comment!!
Question: Just putting your vacuum hose in that one spot catches all the dust?
I have the same fridge, but lost partial power during the hurricane. Freezer works (so-so), but now the fan isn't running. Is there a was to fix this?
Hi Cheryl. I'm not sure if you are talking about the evaporator fan (inside the fridge) or the condenser fan at the bottom near the compressor but more than likely the electric motor for the fan has failed. This sometimes happens if they are off for an extended period of time. I would advise you to unplug or turn off the fridge until repairs can be made. The compressor could be damaged (especially if it's the condenser fan that has stopped running). Good luck to you and thanks for watching my video.

Way to much work,hit it with a leaf blower.Might have to sweep up some dust bunnies around to kitchen though.Super clean coils though.
Probably so but It was worth the effort to me but I am picky about dust. The Central Vac I used in the video keeps the house dust levels very low. I try to catch all I can with it so it's not recirculating around the house. Thanks for watching.
Has anyone ever had to clean the GE Refrigerator Model GSH25SGPASS? The coils are NOT under it. There are cylinder shaped coils behind the rear panel. Can only get to a small part of it to clean w/o removing the entire coil and fan.
Anyone ever removed it and cleaned it or is there something I am missing here? Thx!

Seems these basic GE refrigerators are the only thing GE makes anymore that is worth anything..
Yeah because the design is the same as the old ones. We had one from the 80s and the only difference was ours was white and it had a metal condenser fan.
I see NO coils on mine :(
Thanks for watching Claire. You must have one of the models that has the condenser coils integrated into the sides of the refrigerator. In this case you never have to worry about cleaning them.
+AVTreasures Thank you for that info! never did find them so that makes sense. It was crazy tho because the rest of my fridge looked just like yours, even the same brand....
fyi stay away from cleaning the fan because one hair could stop the fan and by moving the dirt around .you may have a motor that stops working but the motor is very easy to take apart and clean if that happened the simplest motor ever
