Don't want to nit pick, but I would have cleaned the coil from the inside with the motor off of the unit. That way you could get some of the dust on the back side. Just a suggestion. Thanks for the video.

Your video was good. I didn't order my part from you guys. However, your site also shows the same part # as many other sites for my GE Fridge. When I ordered it, I knew it look a bit different than the part in the bracket. However, I also know, the part has been replaced on GE's site by the part I eventually ordered and secured. It is my understanding that these fridges had one or two options. One being an AC fan and the other being a DC 12volt fan.
The fan motor replacing the GE OEM part from their diagram fits onto another bracket assembly. The wires must be navigated through a series of stays. It appears that the bracket is also plastic instead of metal.
Strangely, my fridge has to connector plugs coming into the area. One fits the current malfunctioning fan. The other fits the replacement part. I didn't check the voltage to verify it is active. I should have done that.
Did they build some of these fridges giving us the option to replace that fan with either part?
My fridge came with the house I purchased a couple of years back. I believe it was purchased as a used fridge by the seller. Could someone have modified this fridge in a shop to handle either part?
Lastly, there was absoulutely no way I could manipulate that complete bracket assembly out of the fridge without damaging other parts. I can only assume someone also modifed the position of other components thus preventing this action.
I am only writing this to make other DIY'ers aware this job is not as simple as it appears and could be.
My old fridge has met its end in my house. It could be rejuvenated by an expert in a shop. However idiots like me that need to keep their food cold can't fix a fridge in a few minutes and the middle of his kitchen floor.

What motor did you use? I believe it's the same one as mine.

Thanks. It is understood that a failing condenser fan may cause one of the resistors on the main board to also fail. I have replaced the main board and now realize that the fan is likely the problem. Question - If the fan is disconnected (an removed for replacement) can I run the fridge. I have strategically placed a household fan at the back to cool the compressor until i get the new condenser fan...just want to understand whether the disconnecting the electrical connection to the 'failed" fan might cause a resistor on my new board to fail? It that convoluted enough???

Hi Andrew, unfortunately at this time we are unable to offer technical support. I would suggest contacting the manufacture for further information. I sincerely apologize.
