I'm not harassing. I am stating a fact. And as far as "Megacorporates" ( I assume you meant mega corporations ) , Rolls Royce, Pratt & Whitney, and GE all make supersonic capable engines. In fact, Concorde was powered by the Olympus 593, built by Rolls Royce. New engines take YEARS to develop, and that is if you already have a history of making jet engines. Along the way, you may burn through several HUNDRED MILLION dollars. Boom is naive enough to think they can because they are so ignorant they don't even know what they don't know.
Rolls bailed on Boom 1.0... did it smell like a skinny gadgetzeug?
@@vtxrecruiter actually safran designed the engines RR just built them
at 0:53 , every legend knows that infamous landing vortex was also made by concrorde
What's more sustainable and affordable than doing New-York -> London -> New-York in the same day is called a visioconference... 🙄
Concorde: My death was... greatly exaggerated.
This will change how we travel. And they’re doing it on their own.
if this gets added into flight sims i will 1000%be flying the overture
This would look so iconic with BA ❤
Where?
Reality is coming closer! Concore retires, but supersonic not! Humans look forward not backward! We want Boom Supersonic! Humanity wants Boom Supersonic! Aviation wants Boom Supersonic! ❤❤❤
I'd like to call it baby boom
The beautiful China Southern A380 😂 0:49
What?
You didn't see it@@yakumoyukari4405 ?
There is a A380 behind the plane for a second
Should the engines not be embedded in the wing rather than the external nacelles have in the prototype?
Cant wait to pay 50000$ a ticket
My guess is tickets will cost $3500-4500 round trip. About 20% more than a business class seat on a widebody airliner. This will mostly be used by business travelers.
@@Trainmaster909probably not too far off. I'd really consider it for a once in a lifetime thing if I don't end up with kids 🤣
@@TransistorBasedthat’s being optimistic that they’ll even be able to get the aircraft built, I have a feeling it won’t because they aren’t going to be able to beat their impossible emissions quota
@@AppalachianMountaineer1863 doesn't really matter when they're actively backed by the government. Money can make anything happen
@@TransistorBased Concorde was backed by two governments and it was ultimately a failure because no buyers wanted to deal with the emissions concerns. The airline that killed off the profitable Asian market for Concorde was JAL along with the Japanese government, the same JAL that is in the market to buy Overture and I’m not expecting them to uphold their contract for the very same reason they killed their Concorde contract. Overture will not survive if it is stuck flying trans Atlantic flights from France and the UK to New York, Washington DC and Boston.
That’s just my opinion on the matter. I’d like to see it happen, I want to fly supersonic but my belief is it’s not going to happen or if it does it’s going to be something expensive that doesn’t offer routes outside of Europe and you’d be better off flying traditional for less money
no afterburners?, what it does super cruising bc that would be awsome
This shit bout to be an investor scam
Can't wait!! Can't belive we ever scrapped this technology in the first place
Two words
Not profitable
I saw the XB-1 flight on FR24 with a T-38
Does it have afterburner?
As an Oasis fan who also enjoys aviation, this is the crossover I didn't know I needed.
Now do a test flight to London and see how you go I think that would get world wide attention for sure
My grandparents flew Concorde a few times and my mother once or twice, if this succeeds I fully intend to try it.
How abou the over land sonic booms that made Concorde have to stick to that single overseas connection to New York?
Does anyone know which is the soundtrack in the video?
our new engine symphony… I JUST WNA BE PART OF YOUR SYPHONYY
The Embraer E192s have a symphony in their engines at takeoff ...
Appreciate the effort. I still dont think it'll ever happen, but good on them for trying. Another reminder of just what a ridiculous achievement Concorde was/is.
