Airfix 1:72 P-40 Warhawk Part 1

A scale model build of the 1:72 Airfix P-40. Also we begin our dive into the history of the Curtiss P-40. Finished in the markings of Charles Older of the American Volunteer Group (AVG), famously known as the Flying Tigers.

The Curtis P-40 is my favorite aircraft of all time. I only just noticed that you posted this video almost a year ago. You have probably learned how wonderful Mr. color Leveling thinner is. If you have not tried it yet, use it to thin your acrylic paints for airbrushing.

One thing to be careful of with this kit, is the Control Stick will BREAK on you if you use nippers to remove it from plastic spure tree. Use a Razor Saw Blade to get as close as you can to remove it.

I managed to get it off the sprue fine, but I did break it later during subsequent construction.
