2009/2010, I copied tons of VCR tapes onto DVD discs with this same VCR/DVD combo. Stupidly, I did not finalize all of them. Now, today in the year 2024 I decided I better finalize them. It is actually letting me finalize the DVDs I put away in a closet in 2009!! This machine is a beast.
Somebody that goes into DETAIL!! Thank You! Now I won't have to sit for hours trying to find a different video to describe what I just tried that didn't work. At least you take the time 👏🏼👏🏼
Today September 20 /2021 I find my father weeding vcr cassette bt I don’t have vcr I buy new LG 700N $850:00 very expensive now next week delivery I am so excited to watching video father marriage 1984 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Whenever I hit the dubbing button, it just has the red circle with a slash through it, but it’s a home video, not a copyright protected one so ? Halp 😭
Thanks so much! But, how do you just play a VHS tape on this machine, I can't seem to do that? Will it play when the HDMI cord is attached? Or should we use the 3 cable composite instead?
Hello. I am trying to learn how to record from VHS to DVD. Your video is good, but I think you have left out a step. You never say what to do to start recording from VHS to DVD. You go from selecting the speed, select dubbing to now the recording has stopped you need to go to DVD side so you can finalize the DVD. What do you do to get the recording started? Thank you.
What if the LG combo does not have a Dubbing button? Gee, who would have thought, hard to believe, that such a LG combo does not have to VHS to DVD record feature.

Either your disc is bad or your machine is defective.

The VHS wil play through HDMI and the red white and yellow.

If you only want to record certain parts on the tape,how do you stop te recording and skip to next part you want to record?
To record from VHS to DVD, do I have to sit & watch the VHS tape in it's entirety? Also, I assume pressing the dubbing button, means it is recording?
There is no need to watch it. It will continue to record even if you disconnect the video signal.

Yes, you can. Just connect a video cord from the DVD VCR to the input on the Betamax. Then record like you normally would.

Can you finalize the disc at any point after your record? or does it need to be right after the recording?
Why make it complicated? Place the DVD rw in & VHS then hit record. Badabing badaboong

nah they are actually very very good they last for many years and they are easy to use i just cant find the cables
Reminds me of the Insignia IS-DVD100121 I used to have. Difference is this one has an HDMI output though.
I followed your instructions to a T. I clicked finalize and the DVDs still don't play on other players. It only plays on the RC897T - what gives?
Maybe your other machines aren't made to read DVD-R
