I was speechless then and still speechless now that Judge Ito allowed such unprofessional, immature, and unacceptable behavior from both sides of the aisle throughout this trial. I am well aware that he is/was in general a competent and very professional judge that would not usually allow this behavior and i don’t think cameras in the courtroom should of changed that in this case. Nicole Brown lived at 325 South Gretna Green Way . . . Nicole says her own address during the 911 call . . . I don't think Mr. Darden did a very good job protecting this woman's privacy. I believe, like much of the country, that he was at least partially responsible for the deaths. The fact that people in the courtroom joke around and laugh during a MURDER trial is appalling. The way things were done both in the courtroom and the events leading up to it would NOT be acceptable today!

It's kind I'd like "if we don't laugh, we'd all go insane" because of the brevity of the situation things that aren't all that funny irl, can seem funnier amidst such heaviness. If this was just days after the murders it would be highly inappropriate but under these circumstances, it's mildly understandable, imo...
I couldn't say for certain but I don't think we see all of the trials shown today, raw and uncut. The prosecution has 1000’s of employees available to them, an entire police force, and the FBI. The defense was good, but in no way does any defendant’s counsel have more resources than the People. Also, the only evidence the defense has is what is provided to them by the state, if there is any oversight or bad faith, the defense often gets screwed by over zealous prosecutors.

I feel Nelson dropped the ball by not providing the jury an explanation as to why he kept him there for 9 minutes, and failed to acknowledge the tragic death by saying something like “it is a tragedy the victim died during officer Chauvins legally required and accepted restraint, it was a tragic accident and sadly charging my client with intentionally killing him will not bring the family any peace; it will simply wrongly convict a man doing his very dangerous job.” Perhaps in closing, he will address the questions at least 1 juror must have.
