  • Raised Jewish, Rosalind Moss came to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and later became an Evangelical minister. She was challenged to examine the history and teachings of the Catholic Church expecting to be reaffirmed in her belief in its errors.
(This talk was originally given in 2004 at the CHNetwork's "Deep in History" conference)
About the Deep in History Talks from the CHNetwork:
The early period of the growth of Christianity (ca. A.D. 50-700) is a rich source for learning how the earliest disciples and apostles of Jesus Christ passed on the “faith delivered once and for all to God’s holy ones” (Jud 3). From Ignatius of Antioch in the early second century to Gregory the Great in the early seventh, the story of the Church’s proclamation in winning over pagan culture to Christ is widely diverse in practice and wonderfully unified in doctrine. The faith of these early Saints inspires and challenges us to live more deeply in love with Christ and in continuity with our forbearers in Christ.
We hope these resources take you deep into the history of Christ's Church and thereby deeper into Christ. Please visit:

You know what I love about Protestant converts to our Catholic Church? They are never bitter or angry at their former faith! Universally they are grateful to God for all they learned about Christ before becoming Catholic.

The best, absolutely the best presentation on the Catholic Church PLUS the Bible that I have ever seen and heard in just under an hour! I have shared it with my entire parents group (I’m the DRE) and I hesitated doing so. Why? I aren’t we sometimes fearful of “stepping on toes” even within our friends in the church? Satan wants us to hesitate. Wants us to hang on false fears-it that others might be offended but that I MYSELF would feel some backlash in sending this message. But as soon as I sent it I knew it was the tight thing to do! Being in the backlash-let the conversations begin-and I now I just hope they WATCH this most excellent of videos! God bless you Sister!

Yes brother! This is unbelievable. I forgot about this comment! Soon after it, I strongly compelled by the Holy Spirit to put down all my prejudices against the Work of God though His Holy Church - His Body on earth. The vision of the incarnation, of Christ crucified, washed my eyes and I could see the Church which is without blemish! As the God, without blemish, nailed on the Cross, full of dirt and blood, but still Perfect God in the flesh.
I was received in the Easter of 2017 and am truly and surely happier than I ever thought it to be possible. Praise God!!

Rosalind Moss explains that inside the Ark of the Covenant is the Torah: the word of God ( which St John explains in his gospel as ) " the word that became flesh" from her Jewish background as a Catholic convert from Judaism ", at the end of her very interesting talk .
There's always a lighted lamp by the side of the Ark of the Covenant in the Jewish synagogue.
It's a long journey on her part: from Judaism to protestant Evangelism to Catholicism.
But for her, nothing changed. It's not a conversion; but a fulfillment
in a long tedious journey of a quest in her search.
Catholicism is seated on the base that is Israel.
So, by being a catholic, she said, she is home, she arrives home.

I'm not sure which I loved more, her accent or her testimony! Lol. Both were delightful. So much of what she said speaks to my own journey. Oh those wonderful Church Fathers! Ignatius, Clement and Polycarp, you are my boys. You enlightened me, and converted me all over again. I was in shock at first, but now I see the truth. I remember thinking years ago as a Protestant that the Catholic Church was SOOO Jewish in its look, and being fascinated by that insight. But it took reading those three wonderful Fathers to bring me home. I can hardly wait to give them a hug in person. :) God bless you, and keep you, and make His face to continually shine upon you, Rosalind.

I S .... yes the Christmas tree is pagan. From Northern Europe. As it was a part of the Northern Europeans culture they wanted to keep it. When this happens a symbol or sign can be cleansed of it’s pagan roots and redirected to Jesus Christ.
The Christmas tree is now a symbol of everlasting love (wintergreen), a triangle which means the Holy Trinity, the triangle points up to heaven with a star of Bethlehem on top and a manger at the bottom symboling Jesus Christ’s arrival.
I could think of nothing more beautiful.

SO INSPIRING! My eyes are wet throughout nearly all of this testimony. While I know technically, as a cradle Catholic, I am considered to be a Gentile, I FEEL like I'm a fulfilled Jew (who just never lived the "unfulfilled" life) due to my education on the PROFOUND, immeasurably BEAUTIFUL parallels and fulfillment of the Jewish tradition in the Catholic Faith. The apostles themselves were fulfilled Jews - I think we forget that sometimes. If you have never studied anything about the relationship of Catholic traditions to Jewish ones, PLEASE listen to the you tube video by Scott Hahn, entitled "The Fourth Cup". If you're anything like I, it will BLOW your mind! Thank you Lord for the most beautiful gift you've ever bestowed on me - your Holy Catholic Church!

Yes, because His Bride - the Church - will be presented to Him one day, & Scripture tells us the following in Ephesians 5 (BibleHub)...:
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as *Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her*
26 *to make her holy, cleansing b her by the washing with water through the word* ,
27 *_and to present her to himself as a radiant church_* , *_without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless_* .
28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but *they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church* -
30 *for we are members of his body* .
31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” c
32 *This is a profound mystery-but I am talking about Christ and the church* .

    • @Kirkee7
      @Kirkee7 5 ปีที่แล้ว

I somehow suspect that your definition of Church is not mine . Of course I agree with your statement as scripture relates to the Bride of Christ. The question is what is that nature of this Bride ?

The Church is the Body of Christ. All its members form living parts of that Body in accordance with 1 Cor 12. Abiding in Him, Jesus Christ, Who is the Vine, & we, as branches on that Vine, are living & active in Him. We can do nothing apart from Him, & He cleanses us from all unrighteousness. He sanctifies us.

The Bible is systematically read from several times during every Mass. Eventually you hear the whole thing. Also the readings are selected to tie the OT and NT together so you understand the continuity and connections. It's true that many Catholics don't read the Bible but the Church encourages it.

Mother Miriam emdodies Gods gift of Himself and extends it wonderfully through her Jewish, Protestant and finally Catholic journey. No one ever loses what is true, good, and beautiful about them when they convert because conversion is a becoming different while remaining the same. God bless.

Thank you and God bless you for saying Yes to the Holy Spirit, I believe many hear the call to come into the Catholic church but for many reasons they don't, may they have courage to come home. I love converts, I learn so much from them. God is good.

As cradle Catholic, I thank God for giving me unshakable belief in His Holy Church. The devil tried to deceive and divide His children, but The Precious Blood of The Lord keeps flowing and redeeming His Children back home. I recall that whenever I laboured to prove the false preaching by the Evangelicals against The Catholic Church, they would say the devil gave me wisdom. How full my heart is to see The People of God recognise and accept that the Messiah has come!! What an orator!! 💗💗. What a marvellous testimony!! Fellow Catholics, let's continue to pray for the lost sheep to come home so that we are one as The Lord prayed for. Catholics do not congregate to castigate and preach false doctrines about other Christian denominations who are not even aware that by fighting The Body of Christ, they FIGHTING GOD AND BEING BLASPHEMOUS AGAINST OUR LOVING MOTHER!!. Let's keep praying for reparations to The Sacred Hearts of Our Lord and of Our Loving Mother. In Jesus Holy Name, I pray. Amen.🙏🏾🙏🏻🙏🏾🙏🏻🙏🏾💝

The early Christians were persecuted by the Romans and martyred because they refused to assimilate with the empire's mystery religious cults. They were even accused of engaging in cannibalism, as Catholics are by Evangelical Protestants today with respect to the Eucharist.

Title should say "Jew and former evangelical minister"... because she's still Jewish. She's just a Jewish Catholic. I love this woman, God bless her.

    • @eliseos4127
      @eliseos4127 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Jewish Catholic? No such thing. Maybe it's because a few Jews have woken up to the fact that there is a s$%t load of money to be made in evangelism. I saw the stories of conversion from Judaism to Jesus by two different Jews in 2 different ministries. Exactly the same story. Impossible! I don;t believe a word of it and they prey on people like you just as other religious hypocrites do.

I am from Queens NY. but find this Brooklynite 🌌gal delightful to listen to! Jewish humor is so uniquely contagious! Her journey is as real to me as my own. She has turned to Catholicism and I,
from it. My journey has taken me to The Elohim of Abraham, Yitkzak & Yaakov and faith in His Son, Yeshua.

Great testimony, but the title of the video is really unfortunate: A Jew who becomes Catholic does not become a "former Jew" but finds the fullness of his/her Judaism in the Church. The expression "former Jew" reflects the terrible supersessionist theology that has done (and continues to do) so much damage to the Church's mission to the Jewish people.

The religion of Judaism is defined by the rejection of Jesus Christ. It is its raison d’etre. Judaism and Catholicism are incompatible. There is only one true Religion; they are not Old Testament Jews, they are the rejecters of Jesus Christ.

Concerning Rosalinds former pastors question about the New Testament and Catholicism. I'd get Roman Catholicism from just reading the New Testament, you get it even more so when you see it's doctrines foreshadowed in Judaism in the Old Testament.
