Thank you Mikhiel. That is Jello in the outro. Unfortunately she passed away about a year ago at the ripe old age of 19, but she lives on in every video. :)
Have you ever used like a HOTAS flight stick with a sliding throttle. Right now I'm on playing on a Series S, but this is the only one game that makes me want to get a gaming PC just for the Mods. Also Epic games are giving Mods to the consoles, but you have to load the Mods on a SSD and then insert it into the console.
I do have a HOTAS but I really really sucked at this game using them. I did order some some foot pedals, they might help so that I only have to control the upper half of the mech with the control. That is cool that Epic figured out some mod support although that sounds like a pain to get them loaded.
I've done some videos on performance in the past, specifically testing some mods that add custom textures and others that profess to improve performance by modifying the stock textures. th-cam.com/video/yVLC-W524xQ/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/ruxnLuyFTbE/w-d-xo.html Hope that helps! My current setup has been completely upgraded since this video. If you would be interested in a video detailing current performance let me know.
I'll keep an eye out. I kind of want to run with one of the new Intel GPU's as a second board to handle my video rendering and that will necessitate a new mother board so I'll probably upgrade the cpu at the same time. Probably about 6 months out on that though.
I'm having issues trying to get my Joystick to function. My computer registers the joystick but when I try to adjust the controls to my liking the game doesn't register the joystick
when the released the game on consoles they downgraded the graphical fidelity some. There are some mods that will fix it, but there isn't much you can do within the stock game settings.
I've got a noob question for ya. I've literally have only had MW5 for literally 3 days at the time that I have left this post. The problem that I have (besides this tablet not being able to write what the hell I'm saying... Got to love autocorrect!), Is getting my Thrustmaster X synced up correctly. Problem I'm having is getting into actually steer. All the buttons seem to work, the accelerator works, all the buttons seem to work, but I can't seem to steer left or right, I can torso twist, move forward and backward, but I can't go left or right. So basically I can't drive. I was wondering if somebody knew what to do because I'm looking and I can't find an answer online. It's got to be there somewhere, but I can't seem to find the solution. Unless my computer is so old things are glitching. That's the only thing I can think of! Can anyone help me out here?
the problem is that the legs and the torso are on are two different commands. On my Logitech X52 I turn the torso the by moving the stick left and right but to turn the legs I have to twist the stick. Realistically the best way to handle running the legs and turning is to use rudder pedals or if you can find a throttle that twists (i used to have one but can't find a brand that still does that now) so that you can move it off of the stick. I've given up on trying to play this game with a HOTAS. I know that some people do (and when I complain about not having enough easy to use buttons on my mouse I'm always told to go get one) but I find mouse and keyboard the easiest and most accurate way to play this particular game. I'm sorry I don't have a more encouraging response. :(
Yeah I think it would be more immersive from the cockpit cam, but unfortunately it has you hovering around knee height instead of where you should be. And PGI has said that as far as consoles go MW5 is dead, because it didn't drum up enough sales and continual replay.
Not terribly surprised about the consoles. I think this is a game that is meant for keyboard and mouse rather than a controller although a HOTAS might be do-able for somebody with more skills than I. :)
@@RoamGaming I've played on a PC, but mouse and keyboard is also very inorganic. And again why I went to a HOTAS flight stick, and there's one in the Xbox store and on Amazon. Both are designed for PC and console if I'm not mistaken. If there's a next installment of MW it will be most likely be prior to the Clan Invasion, and will only come to PC, steam and whatever else there is. But PGI didn't do any advertising for MW5 for the console versions. And BattleTech/MechWarrior has a global draw, I've played with people across the globe. I've been hooked since I learned about the game and the early novels. One reason why I stopped playing on PC was how sterile and inorganic PC play was for me. I became a gamer in highschool when D&D first came out in 1976 and AD&D in 1977. The largest group I was a part of 20 to 30 players at the base I stationed at in Vicenza, Italy. And BTW, I have to give you props over Baradul. I like your play style much more than his, that's all I'll say.
@@mikhielthorsson6033 Which HOTAS did you get? I went with the Logitech X52. I didn't want a super cheap one but I didn't want to spend too much in case I hated it. I figured I would use it for Star Citizen regardless but wanted to try one out for MW5. I got my first red box for D&D about 1983ish from a comic book store in Billings, MT. When my parents expressed some misgiving about it, the story owner game it to me for free. I'm a bit jealous of your time in Vicenza. I wanted to go there but as a Army Space Command satellite controller there are only about 6 places I was going to be allowed to go and Italy wasn't one of them unfortunately. (I did get to spend 2 years in Landstuhl, Germany though.) We did play some pen and paper stuff while I was in but MMO's were becoming a big thing so we spent more time playing EverQuest, Anarchy Online, and Camelot than sitting around the table.
@@jasonhewek540 that might be why. I had an nvidia card for this video. AMD does have their own FSR but it might not be supported by MW5. That is my guess anyway.

I really wish they'd sort out the joystick support for this, it's incredible that it's in the state it is in.
I was just looking at my HOTAS this morning and wondering if Clans is going to be any better for joystick support.
Oh BTW, I love your outro clip. I'm a really big cat lover, I have 7. Started with the first, and inherited 6 in 2016 after my parents passed .

I definitely feel for your loss, we set ourselves up for some soul crushing pain when we take in any pet. But most wouldn't have it any other way .
in regular art shadow is the ultimate contrast. human eye catches shadow movement maybe? High contrast plus movement detection may be the thought

Interested to know what type of performance you get with these settings? Thanks

May want to keep an eye on eBay. With Zen4 dropping, you could pick up a 5800 ~$200 maybe less.
