Making Marceline's Dad, who is the Devil basically, into a landlord was a perfect fit.
I interpreted it as how in the first season Marceline is revealed to have the deed of the tree house

I don't think that's the landlord, I think the landlord is actually Simon. Because this is all a version of cake and Fiona from Simon's perspective. In Simon's head. Versus Ice King's version of cake and Fiona. Hence cake wanting the ice. So literally Simon is the landlord of the entire land. And since Simon raised Marcy....

A small thing about the dream, it is heavily implied cake also had the dream:
- She was "swimming" in the bed as Fionna wakes up, mirroring the pool they were drownning at the end of the dream
- That's also why she was so fixated about the ice skate ring

But the magic of ice crown actually shifted the shape of an exiting universe cause of its purpose to fulfill the user's wish. and now his life issues are shaped and connected to the life of Fionna Campbell, magically pulling each other together?
Yeah, interesting cause last we saw Simons mind, it was a Labyrinth conjured by the crown. Make me wonder where Gunther and all the previous crown users who existed in the crown went? Did they vanish when the crown was reset?

My theory is that Fiona's world isn't real, and is somehow a product of Ice King's (Simon's) imagination, which would explain how Cake was able to jump out of Simon's head at the end of episode 2, because the entirety of Fiona's world is in Simon's head. Maybe Simon was trying to get Betty back, who somehow went into his imagination, which would explain all the Betty images and art, but Cake came out instead.
Thats not a bad theory. Ice King's imagination was so powerful it conjured and turned into a parallel universe of its own. Either its in his head alone. All in all its connected to Simon
This could even be a world created by Betty for Simon inside Simon's head hence also the red beam being injected into Ice King

and it kinda looks like the reason that the red guy following fionna and simon is because she is an anomaly like she isnt really real but like wished to become real idk if it has something to do with black magic because on ep 2 we saw choose goose and which he was transform from distant land series
You didn't mention that Fionna and Cake were likely having the same dream at the start of the episode, which would explain why Cake is making swimming motions while she's still asleep. This is also emphasised by them clearly having the same dream in the end credits sequence.

In episode two you can see (presumedly) the snail's unoccupied shell among the items in Simon's Golb shrine. The snail might not be alive anymore unfortunately

some things i want to point out
this universe clearly has a lot of correlation to simon and i think between cheers being the only thing played there and the more normal and mundane universe that Fionna is in almost definitely represents the fact that everything just changed when simon came back fully, it's especially clear that that's the case since in the intro for the second episode it pans into simon's head and then shows this universe.
ohhh wait, so this could mean that fionnas universe here was, what we saw in adventure time originally, but when ice king turned into simon again, everything became normal and human (like he did)? that would be very interesting

Agreed. I think, though, that Fiona’s universe is completely based on Simon/Ice king’s desires. Originally, IK wanted Fiona and cake to think he was cool. Now, Simon feels out of place with the new humans in Ooo and longs to go back to the 20th century (as seen in episode 2). This would also explain the Betty statue.
Also, I just assumed that somehow the portal Cake jumps through at the end of the first episode just coincidentally came out of Simon’s head in the second episode and that that would explain IK having the Fiona and cake stories beamed into his head. Now, though, I think the exit portal is specifically on Simon’s head because Fiona and Cake’s universe exists completely inside his imagination/subconscious.
This also makes sense in the context of the original Fiona and cake episodes where we see several layers deep of fanfic, gender bent universes (think ice president, Flynn, and Jacques)
Fionna wants to be in a fantasy world while simon wants to be in the real world.
Or one wants magic, the other wants normalcy.

He just wants to feel like he belongs and has a sence of control in his life and to find Betty, he lives in a magic world and wishes to be magic again so that he could fit in and defend himself but he also realizes that isn't the only thing missing because when he was iceking he had nothing to worry about cause he was barely sane and now even if he gets his powers he still has a loss of purpose and misses Betty, thats why he wishes he could be back in "the normal world" so he could feel stable but even then there would be no chance of ever seeing betty again, so thats why he's frustrated regaurdless and tried doing the ritual to get betty back because he couldn't even imagine an option that would work for him and make life normal and easier for him. Betty and Marcy was his vision of his only purpose, the world made sense when he felt someone understood him and it made sense when he had someone to care for but he doesn't have either anymore.
Maybe Fionna represents Simon's subconscious. He misses being the Ice King, he said that at the bar to Finn.
I think Cheers being in the first episode is meant to clue the audience in to Fionna's world being pre-mushroom war. It might be in an alternate reality from the one we see in AT, but it makes sense since Simon had clearly watched Cheers and used it as a means of calming Marcy down while they navigated the post apocalyptic wastelands. AT messed around with alternate timelines with Farm World and Prismo episodes, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to think that Fionna and Cake's universe is a parallel yet past iteration of Earth pre-mushroom war. Who knows, maybe we'll see some pre-cursors to the mushroom war in this series.
Actually in the second ep you can see getting ready for the day and he puts on cheers in the background
Or maybe it's modern day in a world where the mushroom war never happened.

The fact that Simon dedicated his (sane) life to study ancient stuff and now he has become one... I didn't believe Simon's story could get sadder. I'm loving the show so far
My theory is that when Betty became Golb, she also inserted herself (the statue, the newspaper, magic man imagery) and things she remembers about Simon (him being obsessed with Cheers, so that's why it's the only thing on) throughout the fabric of reality. Basically, Betty now exists at all points in time and space. As Golb, she'd easily have the power to do so. Also, I hope they elaborate on how Ice King said the Fionna and Cake stories get "beamed into his head at night". If I remember correctly, the beam from the episode is red. Golb is red. Maybe the stories are Betty as well.

Fionna says "Ive been having the same dream for the 3rd time in a row", and then says "You havent eaten in 3 days". I think Fionna and Cake share dreams, and Cake is obsessed with the ice prince.
I'm 99.999% sure that Fionna & Cake only exist in Simon's mind. Their world was magical until Ice King was converted to Simon again, that's why something feels off to Fionna, "it's supposed to be magical". As Ice King and Simon are separate entities that share a body, his mind practically reseted, but couldn't get rid of Fionna's world as the comic was still a thing in Ooo. That's why they're humans now and that's why everything in town is glitching. This is kind of confirmed in the next episode but I won't spoil it for anybody that hasn't watched it yet, haha.
Pd. I'm pretty sure that the girl with Fushigi balls is supposed to be James Baxter, haha.
I assume the multiverse effect as ice kings crown exists as nexus point towards fionna and cakes world. We know in the final season fionna and cake influenced episode that ice king gets his fionna and cake ideas via a beam that connects into his head when he sleeps. Also booko from lich talks about how there are nexus points in certain artifacts like ice kings crown. So I think this is still a multiverse, but it's possible it's broken like farmworld because either a wish or possibly someone either Betty golb or that red watcher dude that's chasing them broke it.
Nobody has noticed that after the dream sequence, cake is still swimming. Kinda gives the idea that to some degree that was real or that cake has a weird connection to dreams or other universes. This is bolstered by the fact that it's cake who jumps through the wormhole at the end of the episode!
I love how adventure time is still alive and new fans are getting to see the show
Interesting to know that Fionna has Minerva’s maiden name rather than Martin’s last name.
Maybe in this universe their characters are swapped

Makes sense. If Minerva is gender swapped, she becomes the dad, and so Fionna inherits the Campbell surname, and Mertins becomes the maiden name of Fionna's mum.
So what it seems like is that Fionna and Cake's universe is 100% inside of Simon's mind. The magic is gone from their universe because the magic is gone from Simon/Ice King.
Brings a whole new meaning to the red bad guy calling them a "disease".

The whole dream sequence in the first episode felt like a homage to sailor moon. Her getting saved by the ice prince was like sailor moon getting saved by tuxedo mask. Plus the water color backgrounds look like the ones from the 90’s sailor moon anime.
Small little detail I want to point out! But when Fionna walks by the DND store, you can see an action figure that looks like a business man. It's potentially a throw back to "The Business Time" with the frozen business men that Finn and Jake find in the ocean :D
Edit: also the face on Fionna's shirt might be Shermy from Come Along With Me!
another little detail i noticed, Gary's cookie's kept breaking at the left foot.
Could that be a hint to Fionna losing her foot, just like finn losing his arm?

These first two episodes were so good! And not that far off from how I guessed it would begin.
My one and only nitpick though, is that while I am glad this is clearly aimed at an older audience, I don't think the swear words are an improvement. It was a lot funnier, and a lot more "Adventure Time," when "glob" or "grod" was used instead of "damn." But all things considered, the episodes were exactly what I was hoping we would get, and more!

@zoltanbaroti7998 that's fair, and maybe I should have waited until the video on the second episode came out, because it did stick out more there, but I am hoping they won't just use "damn" or "pissed off" as a specific way to differentiate this series from the earlier ones.
And it's not that I'm against swearing (I have a pretty colorful vocabulary myself), but I do like that Ooo has its own language and way of saying things.

20:11 It's 100% Bubblegum + Marceline. They were on a date in the same episode (Wheels) as far as I remember
two things i saw in the first few minutes, the bmo clock snoozes and goes from 7:30 to 7:40, but then after fionna looks at the tv the clock goes back to 7:30. a few minutes later, after cake dispenses some ice, when they leave for work the fridge then dispenses ice again on its own. maybe some glitches in the universe like we saw in the trailer?

queen is the alternate version of the king of Ooo or KOO for short. It is pretty much shown in the adventure time episode from season 9 episode 15.

I'm really glad this new show heavily references Adventure Time, but I am struggling to recall everything that has happened in this series over more than a decade. I feel like so many references were going over my head and your refreshers and sharp eye have been much appreciated.

When she was walking down the street in the shop not only the sword but there was a poster of the lich and also this isn’t in Fionas universe but m+b=Marcalin and bubblegum
I believe that the characters do not remember their og-selves and act like mere humans because/as long as Simon is human! But something must have happened in those 3 days mentioned that perhaps made Simon's Ice King persona wake up; and so Cake started acting crazy around ice or cold and Fionna kept dreaming about ice and Ice Prince. I'm pretty sure that Ice Prince is in fact Ice King and that Fionna & Cake feel connected and pulled towards him (an attraction in all senses) because he's their creator, which means also Fionna's mean of escape from this "boring and dull reality" to an instead adventurous realm! This would be confirmed by the second episode of this serie!
Also: B+M = Bubblegum + Marcelline.

Theory: Cheers is the only TV show in Fiona and Cake land because that's the only show that Simon remembers, and their universe is inside his mind.

I the begining after Fiona wakes up we see that Ckae is sitll dreaming and she is Swimming... just like the end of the dream, after she wakes up she sheaks like she was wet and starts licking the "water" indicating that Cake is dreaming the same dream as Fiona, thats why she is obseced in the ice in all the episode
An interesting thing in the credits as well is Fionna and Cake are shown to be having the same dream, I think this is done on purpose. It was hinted at during the episode as well, when Fionna and Cake in the dream are drowning in the pool, Fionna wakes up and Cake is still 'swimming'.

At 20:14 The initials B+M make sense if it means "Bonnibel + Marceline", more evidence that this is a Fionna and Cake story in the back of Simon Petrikov's brain that's trying to escape through a portal, or that Simon even trying to open the portal is littering Fionna's reality with fragments of his own. When ice king said he can’t relate to the magic characters in Fiona and cake, it makes sense that now that he is Simon, he creates characters that he CAN relate to
The Ice Prince immitating the alarm clock is hilarious.
I really liked this new adventure time show and how they handled the characters but i do have my theories so here it goes:
Fionna and cake's world is completely normal and civilized-like because of ice king's mind maturing and becoming simon's mind.
This would also explain betty appearing throughout the world. Because simon cannot stop thinking about her.
Simon also says in the episode that he wishes he misses being the ice king because he was capable of so much and it all made sense to him.
So that explains why cake and fionna had a certain connection to ice.
However there is stills some things that i can't explain such as ice queen not being significantly affected by that.
Or the fact that cake literally jumped out of simon's mind and met him. (Might be the power of imagination)
But thats kinda it.

I’m actually somewhat happy that they made Finn’s dad a deadbeat it made for excellent character building.
I think Simon making rituals with GOLB is the main explanation. He misses Betty and by doing these rituals he communicates with her, opening portals to different realities that he wishes to manifest.
This doesn't mean that they're not real realities, it's just that Simon and Betty relationship open access to them.
Fionna and Cake its not a world created by Simon, its a real one projected to Simon's (or Ice King's) mind.

When Fionna asks Gary how long they have been friends, this is something that Finn asks PB in the last episode. That episode also shows they had been friends when Finn was Shoko too (So it's like, forever)

Yeah, and at the same time, it's pretty weird tho. Why would that world only glitch at that time? It has already been 12 years since Betty disappeared and Simon turned back into his former self, so if Fionna's world only existed in his mind, why would it not glitch and disappear long ago but had to wait for a decade for those events to happen.....
When I first watched the trailer, I presumably thought that Fionna's world would be an alternate universe. The theory I have is a bit of a longshot, but what if the Ice Prince doesn't represent the Ice King, but instead the Crown. There are the three gemstones in the Princes design. This brings up questions regarding what the other things related to him would mean, but they are all related to the crown. The Gunter Bird clearly represents Gunter/Orgalorg, Gunter is the current being in possession of the Crown, which fused to his being to make the Ice Thing, which is also shown in the Bird's design with a ice crown fused to its head.
The Ice Prince himself could also be referencing the person who used the crown prior to that and who's genderbend form we have not seen yet, Betty. Perhaps Betty (Now fused with Golb) wanted to bring Simon joy or even to bring his creations to life, even if just subconsciously. Golb was known to be one of the strongest forces in the Adventure Time Multiverse, so there is very solid chance that Betty merging with Golb may have, unintentionally or not, created a new universe based off what Betty knew best (the normal world), but with characters that she had now known for a sizable amount of time acting the parts of normal people. You mentioned this throughout, but the city has flaws, mistakes, and glitches present quite commonly, and while you didn't bring it up here Ellis P. not knowing what is beyond Midtown may more than just a joke, and may be referencing how this reality is just a portion of Ooo translated into the imagery that the Ice King's works made.

Another possible sign of this is the TV in episode 2 in Simon's "house". Perhaps Betty is still watching over Simon, and the reason why Fiona's TV is only showing Cheer's is because that was the show that Simon is watching every day, so his characters should as well.

Simon himself being the link between these two realities seems to be tied to Golb through his shrine, which notably did not work until Betty was added to it (along with an influx of power). Betty, Golb, Simon, Fiona, and Cake are all seemingly intertwined, and it's going to be really interesting to see just how much this is so going forward with the show.
