    Siege Changes that should be made from my humble perspective (8 seasons top siege veteran - retired now)
    1. how to not make siege so exhausting for normal soldiers: on average it takes 3-4 hours of screen-staring to get through all 10 swords, some get it done faster, some take even longer, but around there somewhere. why does it take so long? cuz you have 1h cooldowns on towers while having 25ppl in the guild that all want to attack. not at the same time but if 5-8ppl are online at the same time, you get one hit in, maybe 2 and then pray to god you get in the next tower or gotta wait 1-2h. so main problems: 1h cooldown for towers and 25ppl. Solution: Make siege more fast pace by reducing tower cooldown to tournament-style 30min, or if the community gives feedback of "its too fast", get up to 45min. little steps. Then reduce the participant size to 15ppl or lowering the max capacity of guilds entirely. Sure, at some point they dont rly feel as "guilds" anymore, the less members they can have, but stay focused on the main problem - the enjoyment of the entire mode of siege. one upside of reducing the guild size right away: you instantly will have more guilds in siege.
    2. how to not make siege so exhausting for your guild officers/operations team/guildleaders/makro guys: makro guys dont stare as much on the screen as soldiers - but longer. during regular season this will take up to 12h, the whole first half of siege and some more during 2nd half. so reduce the max points from 20k to 10k - all in all make it more fast pace.
    3. how to make siege fun shortterm: add additional rewards for achievements you got after each siege. like take for example all the things you can filter for for 1 siege battle. offense wins, offense wins percentage, def wins, def wins percentage, the most creative offense by taking one that has the least pick rate, and so on. get rewards after every siege if you got some of these weird little achievements so that you also have some shortterm goals for the season and not only seasonal (longterm) goals, which more often than not, rather create frustration than happyness, cuz you rather dont achieve them (getting tourney skins) than completing them. and even if you complete the longterm goals (getting tourney skins) it feels super lackluster cuz you worked so dam hard for it cuz the design of siege is so time extensive and exhausting (see 1) and 2) for solutions). back to the shortterm goals: com2us already cooperates to a certain extend with all the related websites, so its very easy to get all the data and implement it in a stylish way ingame.
    4. how to make siege fun and not stale as fuck even after the fast pace changes: changes done? good, now its fast pace. but wait - you still see the same fucking defenses for over a year now because the balance patches dont change anything and even if they change some more than usual, the design of siege defense caters around defense break, speed lead and rng-style skills? oh man.. how to fix this? not so easy: entirely break the game by not relying on defense break to even "be able" to kill something. there are very few cases where you dont have to rely on defbreak to kill something, take a dominic for example, he can kill stuff if he is built right and gets a proc. but even i cant count 10 dmg dealers that are able to kill without defbreak. so this fact alone means that for siege def it is absolutely mandatory to have a defbreak in there - LD aoe defbreak or rng defbreak (cichlid) and it gets even more wins. so com2us is limiting their balance patches for siege by letting the system stay like that where its necessary to have a defbreak, otherwise you will not be able to kill stuff. the solution for that can be quite hilarious and broad: nerfing defbreak, buffing standard dmg of all skills to be able to kill without defbreak or giving them additional situational buffs aka "if you have this and this, you get 100% more dmg" to be able to kill without defbreak tho if this is done on only a minority of monsters this wouldnt solve the issue. it needs to be the majority of monsters.
    5. Fun little thing from what i wouldve wished to have: "combo potential". Additional situational combos you can pull off which can lead to mindblowing situations. like "if you use this while this is active/x on the field, the 2nd next monster next to you gets a turn" or "if you use this while this is active/x is on the field, the attack also puts aoe x debuff on all enemies" and so on. like REAL combo potential. stuff you plan for and are happy as fuck when it happens/works. tho ig knowing com2us they would rather change it up to "... then you HAVE X% CHANCE to get ..." LOL. (its not even funny). Goal: be able to just brainstorm fun combos thats rly hard to guess. currently you cant rly brainstorm cuz if you do, the only things you get are either things that dont work or things that have the very same playstyle as the stuff that has been around for the past 5 years. boring as fuck. make it fantastical again to brainstorm and explore and actually TEST. be able to excite and motivate your fellow guildmembers so that they start testing/brainstorming themselves.

    regarding the first question and answer:
    this is a pure PR answer!
    they ARE factually correct in stating that players attack right away. what they conveniently leave out, is that players perform flag attacks as early as possible and then play the long waiting game. which is likely what the question was aimed at, but because it was not asked specifically enough, they had enough wiggle room to get away with an answer that is as unspecific as it can possibly be.
    i worked in the industry for 15 years!
    when asking questions, especially when being invited to participate in a Q&A:
    FORMULATE YOUR QUESTIONS AS PRECISE AS POSSIBLE!
    that way, they don't get away as easily with semi-strawman responses.
    here is some bullshit argument on your end however that I'd like to address too:
    always listening to top tier players is not correct. a lot of the top tier units only shine with top tier runes, which makes them broken when used by top tier players but on 95% of the accounts they have near zero impact. claiming that always listening to top tier players makes a top tier game for everyone, is an untrue fallacy.

      nah i dont really agree with what ur saying. A strong unit will be strong everywhere. Saying u need top tier runes on a unit means that you will be fighting a top tier player, which ur not gonna do if ur not in the top ranks. The unit will perform similarly everywhere cuz the rune quality in the rank ur in will be similar all around. Its super rare that a unit will perform that much different. Its more about the people in low rank not knowing how to rune/use something, or not having their units runed to a certain standard (runing too many units and many of them being way worse runed than the rest of the box).
      The main difference between high and low rank could be high ranked players having multiple lds to pair and then some LD getting to shine more cuz of that. But honestly from what ive seen lower ranks also have a lot of people stacked with lds. At the end of the day, a good ld is good everywhere, if used properly.

    16:30 maybe the dev means that sometimes when they design siege reward transmogs that are “difficult to use” (maybe not the best looking) they’re either scrapped or sold as a regular transmog? Idk that’s what I thought

    easy solution : 10 members from 1 guild ready check for guild battle . if one guild cant get 10 people to ready check they got blocked for next battle. this would solve also the afk and dead guilds.

    @acog how does siege proc rate never come up as the first most broken thing in the game? I’ve literally sat in a siege fight for over 1 hour straight and the defense procs 4-6 times more than my offense units do. It’s worse when all 3 of their units proc 4-6 times each on the first turn and the fight is over before you get a turn? Am I missing something here or does this only happen to me?

      Have you done world guild battle or interserver, it’s even more broken in proc rate

      I'm sorry bro but the only solution to this is to build 5 pralines and use with single target ignore def dmg dealers, and make sure to have a galleon tiana cp/poseidon/verad comp or 2, also a couple Isabelle variations, and dont forfet a couple leah variations, and lastly you have to build 2 or 3 suicide squads (iunu, sian + perna/psama)

    (this is before i watched the video, but i randomly thought this) if com2us was scared to touch any skills with nerfs/buffs, why didnt they just do a whole balance patch where they change unit types/stats/awakenings/base spds (the reason i say types is there are some bad eggs like layla who is a support unit, but has searas stats but +1 spd) people have been begging for units to get these things forever because their current stuff doesnt match

    This review was pretty benign and didn't really provide much insight ... I think the other Interview (previous) was much clearer about how Com2US thinks and feels about the game ... they get annoyed when the Users question them, and they are not interested in working any harder than the bare minimum to keep the game going ...

    just dont give high hope, for my oppinion com2us ard make broken unit like sizuka(s2 can one shot,s3 turn sky and earth upside down), oliver(make ur unit cant do nothing), now pupetter(what this unit? s1 heal, s2 bomb/damage/boost, s3 control this unit can do almost anything), i just want other company make game like sw but more better, unfotunately many company now making game like genshin , damm
