If this game is compatible with the VGA adapter itl still look sharp as heck, some Dreamcast games hold their own any era like Soul Caliber, Shenmue 1 and 2 especially, test drive lemans 24 hour racing, Tennis 2k1 and 2k2, Dead or Alive 2, Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, etc they all look crazy good especially with VGA adapter/monitor thing.

Man this game was my life for a whole year when i was like 7. The sequel is better in everyway tho.
In most areas but not all of them. Round 2 was missing a few things that would've made it completely awesome.
If an opportunity to play this again arises, you can unlock the 4 secret characters by entering "POD 5" as your name in Championship Mode.

I was only 8 years old when I played this at a dreamcast kiosk in a store, I remember being really amazed by it. Unfortunately I never had a dreamcast because my brother was hyped about the Xbox so we ended up getting that instead. This is my only memory of the dreamcast none of my friends owned one either.
You should build a time machine and go back and somehow ensure you get one

God, I spent so many hours on this game as a kid, couldn't get enough of it. Even imitated some of the quotes and poses of my favorite characters to play as. I used to make my 1st grade teacher and classroom fall out laughing whenever I acted as Afro Thunder. :)

My very first Dreamcast game!! Still love it, it’s so much fun and the characters are great! I love to make Salua Tua do one of his taunts, “Hit me here!” and then when he sticks his tummy out, if he gets a punch to the gut he then goes down with a “BLEHHHWWW!!!”

This game made me buy a Dreamcast back in the day. Mom gave me the choice of a Dreamcast or a game boy advance...one of the best decisions I ever made. No knock on the game boy at all tho. Those Pokémon battles/trades at school were a monumental part of my childhood.
There are definitely codes to unlock characters in R2R 1. I remember doing them all the time on the N64 version.
I remember playing this game on ps1 qnd i had so much trouble finishing it cause the final boss ( who is the demon monster guy ) and unlocking characters was tuff too cause there were copies of original characters but i still love this game
