As a Metallica fan watching this guy saying that Metallica songs are long is just annoying. I mean I think it's amazing
Aye man I gotta give my honest opinion 🤷🏽♂️😂 I can’t fake it lmao
I don't really hate it but I feel like some songs are just dragging on for longer than they should
@@VSMSusi I feel you on this HEAVYY
👆🤓
August 1991 they actually got 1.6 million Russians chant "die!!" at one of the first heavy metal shows around the fall of the Soviet Union... It was absolutely glorious
Wait really?! Ima have to see the video
@@TaygaVL younin, the entire show was absolutely insane.. other acts were AC/DC, Pantera and The Black crowes. According to the folklore Russian young people began a coup and in order to avert it the government asked what they wanted in order to try and keep the peace while they go through the transition... they said American rock and roll..boom giant rock show. Oh and it was a free show.
@TaygaVL yeah there's a whole documentary about it. The Russian army was security. Lots of fights and injuries but all survived.
@@mztweety1374 wowwwww that’s crazy, shi really be deeper than you think I see 🤷🏽♂️
Yes, creeping death is on eof those songs where the live Version is 10x better then the studio version@@TaygaVL
If you like short, fast-paced metallica songs, some good ones include
-Motorbreath
-Fight fire with fire
-Wasting my hate
-Fuel
-Trapped under ice
-Holier than thou
-Jump in the fire
-Dyers Eve
As for newer production:
-Hardwired (title track)
-My Apocalypse
-Lux Æterna
-Shadows follow
-Confusion
-Atlas, Rise
-Sweet Amber (great song, but the production sucks ass on this one)
-Broken, Beat& Scarred
Hope this is of assistance!
Bet I’ll look at these in pt.3 🖖🏽 thanks for commenting bro 💯
Spit out the bone
Is what you’re looking for.
Guess I gotta spit that song out for part 3😎 (PAUSEEEEE)
Maybe stick with Taylor swift
LMAOOO!!😂
Completely agree
Try slayer
Taylor swift is just trash in general bro
Hola
I’d recommend pantera for those riffs you’re looking for
This like my 10th time hearing that name, ima just do em this coming year why not 🤷🏽♂️😎
Hell yeah
@@TaygaVLNah bro them Pantera groovy riffs💯
The thing I love about watching your reaction is that I know it’s genuine. The metal community has albums and songs that over the decades have become like legendary status and so there are a lot of people when they first start listening to this music they’re told what the good stuff is off top, and sometimes the answers don’t get honest .
Like having a difference of opinion in what the good songs are in the bad songs are lead to huge arguments. With you, you haven’t been fed any of the bullshit yet so you’re just listening to it as it comes and judging it as you hear it. And I love that.
If you want to see an awesome live performance, look up any of their songs from the Moscow 1991 concert like enter Sandman or Harvester of Sorrow. it’s a crazy concert because it’s the first Western world concert. The Russians ever got to see in that time. And the estimates for the amount of people at this concert were anywhere from half 1 million people to 1.6 million people.
Yeah I just can’t fake the reaction bro that’s why I tell people they can’t get mad at my OPINION lol 😭 & it’s been plenty of times where I watch my videos back editing them & saying ok this song wasn’t that bad because I heard it a 2nd time 😂…but damn 1 million people in 1 area is INSANEE!!! I gotta see that lmaoo wtf
@ oh yeah, the song Creeping Death from the 1991 Moscow concert would be a good one too. a lot of their 80s stuff from your reaction. I think you would actually like it better live. Their earlier albums while I think are great I can understand why younger people don’t gravitate to some of those songs because it really wasn’t till the late 80s early 90s when they really started getting their production right. But those songs sound great live. In my opinion a lot of Metallica sounds better live.
mans gotta at least listen to some of the songs from their 72 seasons album
I thought this said “72 albums” I was finna just quit TH-cam😂😂
Y'all (younger generations) have been conditioned to have short attention spans. The joy is in the journey. Learn to lay back and soak in the lost art of epic music.
That is true I can’t even argue wit this 🧏🏽♂️

@@OscarManuelValdiviaTovar nah factsss fr
Tbf man, you want fast paced? Check out fuel, the memory remains, lux Æterna, disposable heroes and whiplash. The thing you gotta understand about these albums is they each have a theme, the black album (nothing else matters) is more somber and slow focused, so while each might have a fast paced song, they focus on specific ways of playing for each album. Not everyones cup of tea as one, but there is something for everyone
Bett bro i gotchu, you saying everything that everyone else is saying so trust me pt.3 gon be longggg asf probably 😂
Disposable kinda long too though, I'd rather go for something like Fight Fire with Fire
If you like 2010s Death Magentic came out 2008 and was their best album of the modern era
Might gotta hear this then they may have changed the sound 👀
Enjoyed watching the reaction.
Subbed in hopes for a part 3
You didn't pull any punches, and turned off a song if you didn't like it. Tough luck, "My favorite is Horsemen"
but that shows it's real.
If you like the later rock, try the following, no one else will. It's still fast AF, but in a style that I think you will enjoy.
That Was Just Your Life - Death Magnetic
Moth into Flame - Hardwired to Self Destruct
P.S.- You aren't getting away from the long songs. Tallica' brings you into a setting before getting started. Absorb the vibes and let it guide you 🤙
Wym I’m not getting awayyy nooooo😂😂 nah jk but yeah it’s definitely going to be apart 3 very soon! Trust me
@@TaygaVL Rock n Roll man 🤙

Ride the lightning and Blackened. If you don’t feel like that, Dyers Eve hits the spot
Ride the lighting>
Dyers eve, Blackened, Fuel, and Damage Inc. are some of my favorites. If you want some 2000s metal I’d try avenged sevenfold specifically Nightmare cuz that songs great
Bet bro, thanks for recommending💯
So idk if your a huge metal fan, but in my opinion there is no "Greatest" Metallica song, what you need to do is listen to each album lol. Every song is great and there are some better than the rest but nothing that stands out. They are all A tier. But if you are looking for songs try Sanitarium, Fade To Black, One, The Day That Never Comes. Considering you said you like 2010s rock, listen to anything on Death Magnetic which came out in 2009 (which The Day That Never Comes is on) and Hardwired To Self-Destruct which came out in 2016
Bett I’m glad you suggest this bro 💯 trust me part 3 gon be long asf
For the ones that don’t have music videos you should do a live version, just staring at the album cover must get so boring for you
It does!! But “nah bro the best song don’t have mtv videos” like this what THEY WANTED! 😂😂
Whiplash is what I would recommend if your looking for a short song with a fast tempo
You’re like the 4th person who said this, BET ima definitely hear it in the pt.3 finale 💯
Pls react to pantera they is a groove/texas metal band I think you’ll like them
Definitely doing them next! This is my top requested rn
Watch Creeping Death and Seek and Destroy perform with Jason Newsted, he was actually tearing it up.When he was on vocals

WWWW! 🖖🏽😂
I grew up on Metallica from my parents and as you said, the early 2000s bands like Linkin Park, Korn, SOAD. I’m 20 myself so I understand where you’re coming from 100% with the duration of the songs in comparison to songs from closer to our era of music like Linkin Park which are usually quite fast paced, shorter songs. I think it’s just what people become accustomed to, maybe over time if you go back and listen to some of those Metallica songs that weren’t for you, you’ll begin to appreciate it more. That’s basically what happened with me, many of the songs I could barely pay attention to because of how long they are, but over time I just grew to enjoy them. Great reaction though, looking forward to more on the way.
Nah idk bro because I originally come from an era of SoundCloud rappers and yk how short that is😂 I think ima just stick to that and my 2000’s bands lol the 80s & 90s not for me 😭🙅🏽♂️
@@TaygaVL don’t get me started on that 2015-2019 era of soundcloud bro, such a fun time for rap, idc what anyone says. But if you’re looking for a more modern look on metal I recommend Avenged Sevenfold, they’re similar to Metallica in a way, but also completely different 😭
@@tycostaz betttt! Preciate that bro you real 🖖🏽
this why i stop listening to rap, literally ruins any impression of legitimate talent in music, hearing some of your attempts at critique genuinely made me cringe
It’s not even that because I love all kinds of music , I just don’t like 80s -90s style rock like this fr but I do see what you’re saying tho 💯
"Rap! More like crap!" ahh comment
@@EngineNo5 😂😂
hardwired is short and fast song, Some kind of monster (music video version) - he raps on this song :D and its 4 minutes only
Ouuuu👀
You should listen to "To Live Is To Die" it's a tribute song to their first bassist who died in a bus crash.
All respect R.I.P ❤️ but if it’s real slow and sad I’m probably not gon like it 😭 but I’ll give it a try
@@TaygaVL I personally think you won't like it, it isn't fast, there are sad parts and this is instrumental
@@yumegd2625 yeah I could tell because of the death part, don’t wanna receive hate if I don’t like the song cs of a “deep meaning” so ima just play it safe on that lol
I would recommend Megadeth. The band was formed by the first lead guitarist of Metallica (Dave Mustaine) after being kicked out of Metallica. He wrote many of Metallica's best riffs like the opening riff for whom the bells toll, and the whole song of Ride the Lightning. All this to say Megadeth is the better Metallica. Songs to check would be: Holy Wars... the Punishment Due, In my Darkest Hour, Tornado of Souls, Peace Sells, and the Mechanix (same song as the four horseman but played 3x faster) . If you don't want to it's fair you seem to be vibing with 2000's nu metal a lot more than 80's thrash metal.
That’s crazy I didn’t know their backstory consisted of all this woah wtf..& yeah it’s not that Metallica is bad because their music isn’t bad AT ALL! It’s just not MY preference yk of that old type metal style
He wrote nothing on for whom the bell tolls and only one riff on ride the lightning. Think you need to check his credits again he didn't write much.
The only thing off ride the lightning he wrote was ride the lightning, he wrote one riff from lepper messiah, and he wrote pretty much all of kill em all
@@parkerdavis9152 Actually he cowrote 4 songs on kill em all - Four horsemen, jump in the fire, metal militia and phantom lord. James wrote the other songs
for pt. 3 listen to All Nightmare Long, Blackened, That Was Just Your Life or Broken, Beat and Scarred. also, for all these songs i recommend the live versions because they go HARD
BET
@ if you're only going to pick one song, choose Blackened and if you want to listen to the live version watch Blackened live in Seattle 1989
@@TaygaVL but that's only if you're going to pick one, if you're going to pick multiple i recommend you listen to all of them🤘
@@MrMayhem999 pt.3 comes out soon , most likely the end of this week or the beginning of next🖖🏽 I streamed it today
a few nice lil short songs that go hard are holier than thou, hit the lights and damage, inc. is a bit longer but still shorter than most songs from this video. another one thats more on the longer side is wherever i may roam
You’re like the 6th person who told me this , I’m definitely doning damage Inc.
As a former rap fan, some songs i know you would prob like is King Nothing, Wherever I May Roam, Fade to Black, Fuel, Lux Æterna
Former? Or you converted fully lol bet I’ll look at em
@@TaygaVL I used to only listen to Carti, Drake, Kendrik, and other guys, but I got bored of it when I listened to metal and picked up the guitar. Also helped I went to rock concerts like Bruce Springsteen, a couple local bar bands, and will see Metallica in may. I appreciate the "live music" aspect a lot and rap just didn't have it because guys just play the studio recording and its never different
@ mmmmm ok ok I feel you
As an older white man (Metallica fan since '87), I get it lol. The funny thing is, I have a whole different bunch of bands in mind when I think of old man rock. 😂 Hey you like what you like, nothing wrong with that. Many of us like Metallica for their long, intricate pieces because you don't find many bands that can do it like they can and most everyday popular stuff has a very common formula.
I would think you would seemingly prefer songs like Sad But True, You Must Burn!, Holier Than Thou, Moth into Flame, Enter Sandman, and God That Failed. They are shorter, more modern sounding, "heavier" songs. As someone who loves all different kinds of music, I really think these would be more to your particular tastes.
Yeah I did like “sad but true” & “enter sandman” I remember those songs were goood!! See you get it😂 I just like the late 2000’s and 2010’s rock style like deftones or Linkin park that’s really my type
@@TaygaVL That change in production you prefer occurred around '90-'91 when the bass quality and a much fuller sound in general was greatly improved across the board for all music. Just an FYI.
Bleeding me is my favourite song by them lol
Bleeeeed
o nah, not liking frickin creeping death is like atually crazy ngl. u trippin.
Brooo I’m sorry bro I just can’t fake like I fw something 🤦🏽♂️😂😂 I’m sorry
@@TaygaVLngl maybe if you gave it a few listen it might grow on you. Some songs needs to grow on people, there's a law, you listen to a song 7 times to memorize it and it starts being stuck in your head and boom you start liking it
@@philcanselmo9436 so now we forcing?!? 😂😂 I’m down to give it a 2nd go round tho
The first four albums are fast and long with lots of changeups. Their 5th album (Metallica or Black Album) is where most of their biggest hits came from and was much more radio friendly rock. You'll get the metalheads like me that will recommend bands like Slayer or Pantera (or the greatest rock band of all time Black Sabbath) that will want the old stuff. Black Sabbath is a great band with 6 albums full of bangers that are mix of blues and jazz rhythms and really creative riffs on the guitar that was a big influence in metal that followed. That band is where you are more likely to find a love for this type of music. Walk by Pantera might be right up your alley though
Every body keeps saying something about Black Sabbath I gotta check that out, & if pantera sounds like three days grace or deftones then they definitely up my alley..I like the late 2000’s - 2010’s style of rock
@@TaygaVL Pantera is usually described as groove metal. They have their own distinct and very powerful sound. Walk is a banger with a really catchy groove though. I'll add, when listening to black sabbath, pay attention to that bass guitar and those drums.
@@justinfrederick8567 bet fasho !
I saw you enjoyed four horsemen but stopped halfway, if you want a shorter song that is the exact same, their former guitarist formed the band Megadeth and used the original lyrics and song title of the four horsemen on their song The Mechanix, seeing which metallica songs you enjoy and which you dont enjoy i feel like youd really enjoy some Megadeth, but just as with Metallica fan recommendations are going to be way more reliable than sorting by popular, ill send some songs to get you started and if needed the backstory behind the songs. I also feel like youd gravitate towards them a bit more due to Metallicas songs average 6 to 7 minutes where the average Megadeth song is about 4 minutes long
-Killing is my Business... and Business is Good
-Mechanix (original four horsemen speed, lyrics, and title)
-Peace Sells
-Wake up Dead
-In my Darkest Hour (this song you might not like for the sound, but its a very important one due to the reasoning for Dave Mustaine writing it. Dave wrote the song as a tribute to Metallicas bassist Cliff Burton who died in late 1986, he played and wrote a good chunk of songs on Kill em All, Ride the Lightning, and Master of Puppets, and even has writing credits on And Justice For all, which came out 2 years after his death)
-Holy Wars... The Punishment Due (must listen)
-Hangar 18 (the song that pulled me into being a fan)
-Return to Hangar (Hangar 18 sequel)
-Symphony of Destruction
-Skin o My Teeth
-Angry Again
-Captive Honour
-Trust
-A Tout Le Monde (i honestly dont think youll like this one but the comments will crucify me if i dont include it)
-Back in the Day
-Dystopia
I tried to fit a good variety of albums on there, but unlike Metallica where all their good work is kinda spread throughout their entire career, Megadeth just had 2 AMAZING albums (rust in peace and countdown to extinction), a few decent albums (peace sells, so far so good so what), and a lot of forgettable ones
Dang bro I really appreciate you doing this bro you ain’t to do allat 😂💯, bet tho see now I may really have to check out Megadeth you’re like 13th person who has told me about them
@@TaygaVL oh its no problem bro, i just love music. also something i forgot to put in my message, any song off the rust in peace album listen to the original version, the 2004 "remaster" is a lazily done re recording with only one song sounding better than the original (Dawn Patrol) and i wouldnt even recommend that song unless youre already a fan of their stuff
Ill get in the stream. Lets do Megadeth or UGK , 420 friendly, outta Jacktown, Mississippi
Oh shi that boy came with it 😂😂

No one's recommended any St Anger material it seems. Just give it a shot lol. Maybe a song like Frantic
📝📝📝
My dude, I'm about to do you a huge solid. Metallica has been my favorite band for about 20 years. I can play about 60% of their entire catalog on guitar. I know every song inside and out. I watched your entire part 1 and part 2 and was going to do the same thing the other guy did after i watched part 1, I didn't steal his idea but I couldn't probably best friends with him lol. This kind of melodic metal music is heavily inspired by classical influences, that's why the songs are all 7 minutes long. They are real musical compositions. I'm gonna try to give you the stuff I think you'll like based on what I've seen you vibe to so far.
(Ride the lightning)
-The Call of Ktulu- This is an instrumental only. No words. It's like having a nightmare, waking up thankful that it was just a nightmare, then realizing it's real. Blows my mind thinking about how these dudes were 20 year olds when they composed this.
(Master of puppets)
-The Thing That Should Not Be- watch the live Seattle 1989 version. It's a proper heavy song.
(And Justice for all)
-And Justice for All- just do a lyric video. This one is heavy, but it's about the lyrics.
(Metallica(black album))
-Enter Sandman- you listened to this one already, but watch the live in Moscow 1991 version. Over 1 million Russians in the crowd and the first concert by Westerners in their country.
(Load)
-King Nothing- this shit is a vibe. Watch a lyric video and vibe tf out.
(St Anger)
-Frantic- this whole album was kinda crap. But this song goes pretty hard with the official music video. Shit is pretty hype
(Death Magnetic)
Before I give songs, I literally had this entire album on repeat for like a year. I don't skip songs on this album. They went hard every song, but these are my picks for hardest on the album.
-All Nightmare Long- watch a lyric video and buckle up.
-Cyanide- watch a lyric video and buckle up.
-Broken, beaten, and scarred- watch a lyric video and buckle up.
-The day that never comes- watch the official music video
-The unforgiven 3- watch a lyric video. This is Kirk Hammett's guitar solo masterpiece in my opinion. He goes SO fucking hard on this solo.
(Hardwired to self destruct)
-Here comes Revenge- this has a really dope official music video, but its so distracting from the lyrics. This is from the perspective of if "revenge" were a person. Its revenge personified. Up to you if you want to do a lyric video so you can hear just how dark this shit is, or the official music video because it's actually dope af 🤷♀️
(72 seasons)
This album is 50/50 for me. There's some bangers, but there's also some stuff that feels like they were trying to hard to fill the the album.
-Lux Æterna- watch the official music video and enjoy the wild ride
-72 seasons- watch the official music video and enjoy the wild ride
BRO THIS IS INCREDIBLE! 😂 the time and effort you put into this is crazy bro this deadass should be top comment 😂💯 & yeah everyone keeps saying the Moscow live I may have to watch that seriously! my recommendation is dont listen to st anger, it sounds horrible if you arent used to the sound of the album, and give some death magnetic some light, and load and reload, load and reload is more rock then metal, and death magnwtic is metal, most people in these comments probably will only say their thrash stuff, which is good but theres other stuff then that.
these are albums btw

@@TaygaVL Yeah, sorry for laughing, but it is the whole situation. Whoever thought it was a good idea to have you react to Metallica did not know what they are doing. You look like a cool guy that like the things that you like, but you will never like Metallica, it is just not for people like you. Remember, it is nothing wrong with people like you, you are cool people, just not Metallica people. :) You like short songs, where they start singing or rapping in the first seconds of the song. For you it is like torture to sit and listen to a 8 minute Metallica song with so much instrumental things going. I am sorry that someone put you through that. :) But as I said before, I still think you are a very cool guy. :)
You keep saying that the songs are too long but it'd say that the average metal song is 5-8 min, depending on the band. If you're ever gonna react to Iron Maiden, you're gonna hate 'em 😂😂, some of their songs are 10+ min long.

Ummm my top 3 I’ll say “Enter Sandman” “Ride The Lighting” & “Battery”
@@TaygaVL you should 100% try listen to other thrash metal bands like Megadeth or slayer, some of there songs are very similar to Metallica songs. If you like enter sandman most of the "black/ Metallica" album has same vibe songs or maybe "harvester of sorrow". battery is kind of similar to "fight fire with fire", "damage inc" and" blackened", ride the lightning type songs would be "Creeping Death", "Fade to Black" , "Disposable Heroes" and "The Call of Ktulu" which is and instrumental song but still same vibe but with most metallica songs you like you can just listen to the whole album the songs in and they would be pretty similar.
@@TaygaVL btw mean as reaction vids keep it up your criminally underrated
