Love the video man, I've been following Arnaud for a while I'm also surprised that no one is talking about this internal rivalry hahaha love that Arnaud shares his watts on Strava👀 P.S. Arnaud is pronounced ''R-No''
Haha man, I have NO IDEA why no one is talking about this! I love that he shares his data too. Thanks for the correction on the pronunciation! I appreciate it.
I don't think Caleb has one haha. Seems like they are just dropping him off on other team's trains then he can surf wheels. What are your thoughts? For Arnaud, the lead out train hasn't been needed as much this year from what I've seen. He can win/contend in different ways.
@@SeeSmithTV Agreed re leadout train. In regards to Arnaud I'll default to your expertise as I haven't seen many of his races. But to your earlier point it appears as though his level of competition thus far has been a step below. One must also factor the intensity in the hours leading up to the final km's and the level of fatigue riders are carrying into that final stretch
@@aussiefreediver Check out the highlights of Arnaud's performance at Omloop this past weekend - I think you will be impressed! Keep an eye on him this year, he is really fun to watch.
I’m relatively new to following the pro tour, but it seems like Caleb is always abandoning/losing his leadout and then finishing in the 2-5 range… I want to like him but he’s shown me nothing since last year’s TdF
Hi Jeremy! First, thank you for stopping by and watching the video. Sprinting in the pro peloton is VERY challenging. The shuffling happens a lot during the last 1km of a race with the different team's lead out trains all trying to deliver their sprinters at the perfect time. I'm hoping Caleb gets his groove back this year as he has had a rough patch of crashes and such at inopportune times. Check out the recent podcast episode that Caleb did with Geriant Thomas. I think you will get some good insight from it.
@@SeeSmithTV I’ll check it out for sure! Seems like guys like Sam Bennett and Fabio Jakobsen stick to their lead outs much better, but maybe that has more to do with the lead outs themselves… The sprints do seem extremely chaotic so I’m sure it’s not easy!
@@jeremystein3136 Yea, Fabio has a GREAT lead out train. Morkov is a really good lead out man for him. He's a big reason why Cav won so many races while he was at Quickstep. I think it's cool that you are just starting to watch the pro races. Give it more time and the more you start to understand about the dynamics in a race, the more hooked you will be. It happened to me and now I can't get enough haha

Did you see what Arnaud did today in Omloop?!
@@SeeSmithTV not yet! I saw the results but I'm on a training camp with limited wifi! I'll watch soon!
I hope you saw what Arnaud did today haha
GCN commentators were talking about this dynamic at the weekend
I missed it! What were their thoughts? I'm curious.
What do you think of Lotto's lead out train?

Which rider will LOTTO DSTNY choose for the long term: Caleb or Arnaud?
If Caleb doesn’t start getting Ws he’s going to get dropped soon. Last 2 years Caleb hasn’t really done nothing.
Yea, with the crashes it has been tough. Hopefully he goes well this year. I like seeing him win.
